Great location, safe, quiet for area”
This was our first trip to Bangkok & we couldn't have been happier with our accomodations for the price. We will definitely stay at Diamond House again when we return to Bangkok. The rooms are on the small side but there are adequate pillows to allow for lounging on the beds when not out & about. We had a loft bed & the ceiling is high enough to allow a tall adult to sit & lounge on the upper bed. Although labeled for 1 person only, 2 small children (up to 40 kgs or 85 lbs each)could definitely be comfortable in the loft. The beds are hard - but no harder than the average throughout SE Asia & softer than many. The slate bathroom was great & the brass faucets were fun turtles, frogs, birds, etc. (We peeked in a couple of empty rooms.) Breakfast is not included but the restaurant on the first floor charges an average of 90 Baht (about $3 US). We arrived at lunchtime & many to go orders were being picked up, as well as tourists from other hotels stopping in for meals. The fruit smoothies are amazing!! We got some as take-away to enjoy in our room. The beer in the lobby is pricy - Baht for a large Chang. We bought at a local store and kept it in the fridge in the room. Prices on the small in-room mini-bar items were very reasonable. We opted to pay half price (Baht) to keep a room until 6pm. It was well worth the price to allow for a nap & showers after a day-trip to Ayutthaya & before catching our flight. There is free luggage storage available, too - unlocked at the front counter. The location can't be beat! Only a couple of blocks away from the Khao San tourist street market & restaurants, but quiet at night. Easy walking distance to the ferry (#13), National Museum & Theater, etc. Tourist maps are available free at the information centers; streets are signed better than many cities & the maps include ferry boat stops identified by numbers.

We had eaten at diamond house many times before and when we returned to Bangkok were pretty excited to stay there. We were very disappointed that when we arrived they had told us they were actually full (we had booked 2 nights) and for the first night we would have to stay at a hotel around the corner. The staff were very apologetic and walked us round to the new hotel. This hotel was really not great and weren't happy about it but there wasn't much we could do. However, when we finally did get to stay at diamond house it was great. Room was really nice, bathroom too. There's a hot tub on the roof and again, we loved the food. The staff went out of their way to help, probably because of the mix up. One of the ladies even hailed a cab for us at 4:30am so we could get to the train station.

Diamond House -Fantastic!!!!!”
diamond house was an excellent choice, and i'd recommend it whole heartedly. it had authentic thai decor & laid-back attitude, while still being scrupulously clean & offering excellent food (the green curry & tom yam soup are to die for). i paid practically nothing, but wouldn't have picked a fancy hotel over this. staying here certainly gives a traveller the feel of being in sync with the local culture, and still having a safe, delicious home-base to come back to end-of-day. the location is in walking distance to the grand palace & kao san rd. there's easy internet in the lobby (for a small fee). and the staff is friendly & available 24/7. i believe many rooms have bunk beds -- which are done with taste and style, not ymca minimalism. eco-friendly lights dim in evenings, and stylings very non-western. if you are looking for a pampered, american chain hotel, stay away. but if you want a cool, thai-flavored minimal but cozy pied-a-terre, diamond house is a perfect find.

Very nice personal”
I was in Bangkok before and saw only this hotel. I was just in the lobby.This time I booked a room there and it was really nice. The diamond hotel is not directly in the kaosan road, but near by. So I is very good to stay there, because you are not directly in the "koason tourist zone". During the day and evening it is not so noisy. We had air condition and tv, so our stay was comfortable. At least I can say cost/performance ratio was quite well. When you want to make a trip or sightseeing tour the staff can help you to plan this and make good choices. In the whole hotel is air condition and in the lobby you can take a very delicious meal also breakfast is possible in the morning. I also loved the roof terrace at the diamond house. In the evening we sit there and enjoy the bangkok feeling. All in all my stay was very good!

Diamond House Hotel”
Diamond House Hotel is situated in a very good location near the major tourist attractions and just a few min walk from the ferry dock and about 400m away from Kao San Rd. The hotel itself is very modern and clean although the rooms are slightly small, it is no problem for a brief stay for no more than 3 or 4 days. The staff there are really approachable and friendly, they all speak very good english, which is helpful. The qulity of the food is also of a high standard for a reasonable price too. There are computers available for high speed internet as well as wi fi I would highly recomend for a short stay in Bangkok

First time in Bangkok so didn't know what to expect but me and my boyf were pleasantly suprised at Diamond House. The room although quite small had everything we needed - although the water was only luke warm for showering. The staff were friendly and the location is great just a couple of mins from Koahsan Rd. Would definately return to Diamond House.

Convenient Hotel”
We stayed at the Diamond house for the 4th or 5th time now. It was a good stay. The room was nice, the food was fast, inexpensive and good. The staff were friendly. I like staying at this hotel because it's near the center of Bangkok, near Khao San Road, but not right in the middle of backpacker central. I recommend staying here. I know I will.

Smashing little stop over”
We were only staying one night on Bangkok, but we have been before. We wanted somewhere near the khao San area but a little less noisy. The diamond house was perfect for us. The room had a comfortable bed with pretty sulk runners, a lamp and a very powerful hit shower and even complimentary a kettle if you wanted to make your own hot drinks. There is also a safe to store your valuables in the room. The staff were lovely and very helpful.

Lovely staff and in a great location”
This is the second time my friend and I have stayed at the Diamond House and we would definitely stay again!! The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and they serve excellent food in the lobby area as well as having access to the Internet. Also in a great location with Khao San Road just a five minute walk away, but having the advantage of being a lot quieter at night. Five stars for the Diamond House!

Diamond House- modest but effective”
I arrived to Diamond House for a stay of two nights. It is a modest but a good hotel overall, very close to the Khao San so it really worked out to me. The only problem with the hotel is that the superior rooms have two separate beds and this data was not known to me until me and my girlfriend entered the room.

Great place, liitle down the road so it's quiet”
the diamond house is high on the recommend list, it is very clean, modern and well taken care of. the maintenance guy was even repainting things that looked just fine before. the rooms are cozy, a little small but just fine. the staff was very kind and smiley. it is a short walk from khaosan which is nice if you want quiet and many rooms over look a river. there is a roof top large sized jacuzzi, no pool. definitely worth a look, very safe bet if booking site unseen.

Quick one night stay”
I arrived very late on a Sunday and had booked my first night in the city at the Diamond Lodge. The hotel itself wasn't too hard for my cabbie to find. We sort of just ran into the hotel. The staff was very helpful and spoke very good English. There was a lot of activity around the hotel late Sunday night, so I never felt unsafe. The room itself was small, close courters from the bed, to the tv, to the frig area, to the bathroom but it was suitable for one or two ppl. I was on the first floor, away from the street, so I didnt have much of a view. But that was fine given that I was only staying one night. The only downsides to the room was that it was on the first floor and close to the reception/dining area and very very dimly light. So unfortunately, I got woken up very early on Monday morning due to the staff setting up downstairs. The roof area was very nice and seemed like a good place to relax on during the evenings. Overall, a decent place to say for the price.

Unique hotel in good location with helpful service”
we enjoyed our stay at the diamond house hotel. it is a very thin and tall building that has a quirky interior that just works. breakfast was very good. location is good but taxi drivers find it very very difficult to locate, an enlarged map might help!? room is slightly small, we upgraded from the standard bunk bed to a double, shower either hot or freezing..no inbetween. overall would recommend.

Great value, Great staff”
Rooms were very good for the price. ~900BHT We stayed in a twin room with stacked double beds. Staff were extremely helpful, though our rooms weren't cleaned until we booked extra nights at the front desks though this wasn't necessary. The roof top offers excellent deck chairs, views, and a Jacuzzi. 5 min walk to Khaosan San Road. Highly recommend the Canadian poutine restaurant across the road.
