We were welcomed warmly at this lovely, small hotel which is in walking distance from the centre of Eger, yet it was quiet. There are flowers everywhere and a little secluded garden opening from the breakfast area. Our room on the top floor had everything we wanted including air conditioning which was important because of the high day time temperatures (above 35 degrees C). As we had a hire car we welcomed secure, locked parking in a courtyard next to the hotel. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone inckluding young people.

The Senator Haz Hotel is picturesquely situated near Dobo Square in the center of Eger's walking streets. The hotel is at the base of the historic fortress and surrounded by little shops, street musicians and Eastern Eruopean charm. The staff (especially Andrash, George and Susan) make you feel like you have welcomed to dear friend's home after a long journey. Their service is exceptional! The breakfasts are perfect and the facility is incredibly clean. The Senator Haz is within close walking distance of most historic features of Eger and is within a few steps of the bike/running trail. The Senator house will always be our first choice when visiting Eger.

Our stay was very pleasant. The main staff person - a woman - was excellent & spoke English. But - another person spoke very poor English & had a very unprofessional approach. Not hostile - but just unprofessional. The breakfast was fine - but the second morning we were there, it was very poorly organized. Probably there is too much dependence on one very competent individual.

Anamari and Tamaz are wonderful hosts, so kind and friendly. The apartment is brand new (renovated) with modern amenities. The location is a plus - 5 min walking from main attractions, restaurants and supermarket. We highly recommend this place and will definitely go back, as we wished we could have spent 2 more nights at Nobilis Apartman. Tamaz was also kind enough to insist on driving us to the train station and making sure we got back to Budapest alright.

situated out of the centre of eger (about 10 mins walk) close to 'the valley of the beautiful women', these apartments are inexpensive and excellently run by the owners. on arrival monika made us feel instantly at ease even with her lack of english (the daughter's english is better, so any questions can be answered by her). showed us to our room and joined us in a local tipple of 'polinka' (fruit brandy...or firewater might be more appropriate!). we stayed in the attic room for 2 which was well sized, had kitchen facilities of gas hob, sink, microwave, kettle, plates, cups, cutlery etc. the bathroom was small, but adequate for our needs and a nice touch was a good hairdryer in the good sized wardrobe. good, fast and free internet access was available 24/7. the apartments are situated at the end of a small close so it is nice and quiet with no through traffic. we felt very welcome here and would definitely recommend to others.

The gardens at the Palazzo are amazing - well kept and beautiful, colourful plants. The inside of the hotel is like a grand, but welcoming home. But the bedroom was a great disappointment. The beds were like massage beds - very hard and two singles pushed together. The room was small for a super delux and there were no toiletries - there was not even handsoap to wash your hands after using the bathroom. Our major problem was the internet! I always book a room with 'internet in all areas' but this was not so. The host was most helpful in trying to solve the problem but in reality there was not a repeater in the area to carry the wifi to our room. We ended up doing our room in the dining room. It is very difficult when a room is advertised with wifi and it is not there!

We loved La Casa Panzio. The owner of the hotel picked us up and dropped us off at the Train Station at no additional cost. John(?) did not speak much English but we communicated well enough. The hotel is located in a neighborhood overlooking the City, perhaps a ten minute walk to the castle and city center. The only problem we had with the hotel is that the air conditioning did not work, but we also did not ask to have it fixed. We would stay in the hotel again - hopefully we will get to Eger again too.

We stayed for 1 night. We had to arrange in advance what time to arrive as there is no permanent reception. This disadvantage was an advantage on the next day when we had the flexibility to check out late and leave our bags in the room till the afternoon. Room was clean, spacious and tidy, a very good value for the money. The town centre and wine cellars are all in walking distance. If we're going back to Eger we will stay here again.
