The location of resort right on ECR road, swimming pool , kids activities and man made ponds are the good thing I can say about this resort. No private beach, small restaurant , pathetic cleanliness of rooms with bad smell of towels and rest rooms, quality of food is just okay. Service. needs an improvement. Will not be suitable who prefers 5 star hygienic experience and Good for friends or office get together as group stay.

Excellent location, literally on the beach and sea view rooms have sea always in front of you. Courteous staff, were trying to do their best to take care of every complaint. This could be very nice resort had the management try to maintain this property. On arrival I thought I would write a very negative review and it’s only because of location and the property that we enjoyed our time be with the sea so near. Cleanliness is terrible, right from stained towels, dirty chairs, rusty fridge, rusty bathroom fittings. Thank god bed was ok (though we had to get pillow cover changed) ....but staff was patiently trying to change and get what best available. Breakfast is disappointing as no live counter , u can’t even order a dosa or omelette , no cut fruits.....food taste was fine....ala carte dinner was ok. So if want a sea view great place provided u are ok with above issues. Overall w group of friends with small kids had a good time and had overlooked the above issues by the next day.

Due to the tax structure of TN govt, the resort is very pricey but the resort itself is very beautiful and maintained well. It is always spotlessly clean and the staff if very friendly. The restaurant also serves good and tasty organic food. It would help if they serve faster because they start the preparation after you place the order - if you are in a hurry, then it would not help but if you want to just relax, it is good. Location is far off from Pondicherry and so it will be expensive to commute if you want to see Pondicherry town. But overall, our family had a wonderful time at the resort - highly recommend it to travelers who want to chill out and relax.

It's a great property with a retro style and spacious and beautiful room and decor. The swimming pool in the property is very well maintained and build in such a way that even in the peak summer heat you get shade in almost half of pool. The hotel serves excellent complimentary breakfast and friendly staff. The location of the property is pretty far from Pondicherry town but if you are coming by your own vehicle it shouldn't matter much. All is all an excellent option to have fun.

A lovely little hotel on EAst coast road at Auroville Jn (8km from here to Auroville) geographically this hotel is in Tamilnadu though it's a pocket with Pondicherry on both sides. Beach is a brief walk although it's not a very good one. The hotel is just pretty with lots of thought going in its architecture. The staff are extra helpful led by Nithesh who even lent his car to drop my wife to bus station. The food is great, mutton biryani being the star. The room is smallish but well supplied. The bath room has excellent fittings. Shower power 9/10. The linen are crisp and clean.

The location is about 20 minutes from white town. It's good for those who want to stay away from a regular, hustling hotel environment. Having a bike or car of your own is essential to get around. The property has just 3 rooms with interesting open bathrooms (for 2 rooms). It's a beautiful, well-maintained place which offers a lot of privacy. Good for couple or families who want to lounge about. The swimming pool is good too. Don't expect a big hotel like experience and you won't be disappointed. Location is a stone's throw from Serenity beach and peaceful. Will visit again!

Maintained by a foreigner and well managed. Beach is very close but not a clean beach. Surroundings are very dirty & need improvement. Fans were not adequate for such bigger rooms. No place for walking if 3 beds were laid. No A/Cs in the room. No mirror in the room, No TV, Shared bathroom. Food was bought from outside and served for breakfast. Not so good food taste. Worst part was only cash payment was acceptable no card facility or even PAYTM in this digital India Era. Also no power backup in case of power failures. Long way to go to match international standards.

'The road to galaxy is not always pleasant' is the phrase comes to my mind thinking of this property. Middle of a slum is this lovely villa, its so artistically done that it grows on you. Be it the pool, lawn or terrace with sea view. The major put off is the access and ambience, especially dare not go to terrace. The beach view is spoilt by unpleasant odour and debris. Very friendly and warm staff. enjoyed the stay but may not come back until the locality improves.

They should set a permanent person for security guard. AC remote should have markings in English rather than Chinese. Else, hotel is kinda ok. It's really a love hotel. So, think twice if you would be comfortable with the interiors. Staff is friendly. The hotel staff should provide a complementary map of Pondicherry. Lots of perfection is still needed. Though sufficed for me bcoz of the reasonable rent.

If you want to spend a few days surrounded by nature yet want to have all comforts of home, then this is the ideal place for you. My wife and I stayed here for 4 days around the new year. The room was awesome. It had AC, attached bathroom with a bathtub. Common area had TV, internet. Kitchen (shared) had all modern amenities. A maid would come and prepare fresh breakfast every morning. Lunch and dinner can be done at nearby Mango Hill hotel which is walkable. Just as a bit of advice, one must have a vehicle to roam around as the area is secluded and nights are pitch dark due to absence of any street light in Auroville road. But it is meant to be like that as I think that is what Auroville's essence is. Coming to agoda's service - it can do bit better by publishing name of the property as "Badrinath" in the address in their website. I had to struggle little bit initially to pinpoint it in google map. That was sorted out anyway. Overall I am extremely overjoyed with the experience.

We visited Le Ciel during Christmas 2017 . The experience was awesome. The property location is too good. Away from the hustle and bustle of traffic and pollution, the location is serene and ideal for a retreat. Its located near Auroville, about 8kms from main Pondicherry city. The abundance of lush greenery all around and the calm serenity of nature were exactly what we were looking for. The roads leading to it are narrow and a little bumpy, but that's because they are yet to be finished. Personal vehicle (either rented/self-driven car or two-wheeler) is recommended since the property is located a bit towards the interior. The owner and the staff were very friendly and courteous and very welcoming. The rooms are very spacious and every inch of the room was well maintained, neat and clean. There is ample parking space infront of the house. The owner also arranged for complimentary breakfast and a bonfire with music on the premises on ocassion of christmas! Thank you Le Ciel! :)
