We chose to stay at Sierra Square Hotel again because of the location and value for money. The stay was once again great, rooms were comfortable and nice and clean except for the smell of cigarette smoke in a non smoking room. We opted for breakfast this time, we were extremely disappointed with the quality of the food. The options were not great and some of the food tasted like it had been prepared the day before. We will stay again, just will not be ordering breakfast.

That Magenta/Pink Room No. 10! Was in love with it, sadly it's no more there as they did a paint job 😥. In fact when we came last week some construction work was still going on, no wonder the patio area was a bit untidy and dusty. Anyway, the rooms were still looking pretty (tho all the colorful ones are completely gone), clean and neat. The house is very beautiful and big, with colorful sofas and wooden furniture, and decorated with beautiful paintings by the owner herself, Susan Berry. In short, staying there is like visiting an art gallery at the same time. What a nice feeling, indeed... 💞

Mercure Johannesburg Randburg Hotel offers good value for money. The hotel staff are friendly and check-in is abreeze. The hotel has secured car parking which is a plus. The room is on the small side but decent enough. Tea and coffee facilities are provided and toilet is big and clean enough. Definitely not within the city center but a short drive away. There's a mall nearby which is a plus with grocery and lots of food places. No internet in the room though so definitely not a business hotel. Breakfast is expensive for SA standard.

It was wonderful. I wanted to move in. It is so homey, but gorgeous and fancy as well. Stephen's decorating is amazing, and he clearly has a passion for it. The lawn, pool, river and outdoor areas are beautiful, especially at night when he turns on all the lights. Would be a really wonderful place to spend a romantic weekend. I loved sitting on the cool furniture out on the patio, sipping all kinds of tea from the little open kitchen area. Stephen went out of his way to go find me a vegetarian breakfast, and even let me borrow his phone. It was really comforting to meet someone with so much aloha while travelling alone so far from home!

This hotel is located in a safe area of Jo'berg and is within walking distance to stores, food and several tourist attractions. The staff are friendly and provide excellent service. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The garden is delightful even in winter. Most of all, I enjoyed the tour arranged and conducted by Nick. His commitment to hospitality and knowledge of the area made for a great tour and a stress-free and very pleasant stay. Theresa N

I stayed for 3 nights at the Cherry Tree Cottage B&B. The experience of staying there was perhaps the most pleasent I had at any residential location across several countries. A wonderful couple manages the place, who provided a really warm and friendly hospitality. The rooms are decorated with tasteful African art and sculptures, the place is almost like a mini museum. Each room has its own backyard, with a nice green refreshing view. The breakfast has huge variety of cereals, breads, fruits, and a lot more, perhaps as good as any 5 star hotel. The manager himself prepared my choice of omelette or fried egg, while we had long and enriched discussions on a range of topics, including out shared passion for cricket. The lady helped to arrange my flight for cape town. I felt a lot of personal affection all along. A large range of television channels via satellite were avaliable. The location is in one of the most beautiful upmarket areas of Johannesburg, and it takes just a few minutes and around 70 ZAR for Uber to get you to Rosebank, so never felt being out of mainstream tourist areas, while enjoying serenity of the area. Overall, it's been a splendid experience, a refreshing place to stay for any kind of traveller or family. It's a 4.5 star experience at a value cost. Highly Recommended !!

This is a guesthouse, not a hotel - guests are lodged in a two-storey cottage on a slope (so looks like single-storey) below the impressively big family home. It is located on a ridge in the suburb of Northcliff, with a tremendous view over greater Johannesburg. I was only resident one night, for a family event, on my way from Europe to Australia. I chose this guest house because it was close to the family retirement home. My room was a single room at the lower level with full-frontage glass sliding doors, a very comfortable bed and a big airy bathroom/shower. Geese wandered around the garden in front - the garden is very lush, and there is a guest swimming pool. The host was very friendly. The breakfast was sumptuous. It was a very convenient and comfortable stay.

The Westcliff is situated in a good part of Johannesburg and just a short walk from the zoo. The staff at Reception were unbelievably helpful in day-to-day issues, in arranging visits and helping get tickets for shows etc. As Johannesburg is a very large city it was really helpful that the hotel organize a free shuttle service (there and return) to various Malls and venues close to the hotel. The standard of bedrooms is wonderful with each room having a "Tardiss-like" pod at the end of the bed which turned out to be a hidden TV which emerged on pressing a bedside switch! We had two separate stays in different parts of the hotel grounds - both excellent. The only criticism we had was that the breakfast costs were not included and were quite pricey on top of a fairly expensive room rate. The access to free internet in the Business Centre was good.

If you have ever been to Greece before the theme in this hotel will remind you of it. I found the place as well as the staff very welcoming. Even though I had messed up my booking Elna who works in reservations graciously assisted me in restoring my original booking with all my requests. Although it's not mentioned on Agoda, the wifi is free and the connection is great, plus the data is unlimited and you can connect as many devices as you like,

Our stay there was for two nights which i enjoyed every moment of it. we had a seven months old baby with us and we also brought a walkingring for and it was never difficult at any point to move aound the room with it. Even when we took a bath she would run around the bathroom witht he walkingring in the bathroom without struggling. We also loved the fact that they also offered us a cot for the baby although you pay for it and they made the cot with clean, beautiful white sheets just like opur bed. I loved the bed...perfect for a couple, the hight, the matrass is so perfect. I would definately love to have that as my bed. The dining room is also clean and the entire yard is so green very nature like. It really deserves a 5 star rating. Even the money I paid for me it is worth every cent. Even my baby loved the place because she was so excited to be there and even louder than she is when we are at home. Its a place I would love to visit again in future.Me and my fiance felt like we wanted to relax in quiet and lovely place and thats exactly what we got there. And the music they play also soothes the mind. Its a very peaceful enviroment.
