About this property

This newly opened hotel provides elegant rooms in a 19th century mansion, a block from Roma Termini. Surrounded by the energy and history of inner-city Rome, the Diocleziano Hotel is within walking distance of the ancient city and well-placed to utilize buses and trains. Interiors are all new with attractive modern bathrooms and a classic color scheme of royal blue and gold as well as a complimentary minibar included in the room rate. While the location is central and difficult to beat, it's the extras that boost its star-rating. The fitness center, communal PCs, internet access, friendly English-speaking staff, and soundproofed rooms ensure that time spent at the hotel is just as enjoyable as the time spent out and about.

Great hotel!
We opted to stay here rather than at an airport hotel the night before heading back to the States from an Italian vacation. Hotel was super close to train station and it was incredibly easy to get there for the 6:30 AM train we needed. Easy walk. Staff was friendly, room was clean and well-stocked. Not glamorous, but totally serviceable and clean. Would recommend to anyone looking to stay near Termini.

No A/C in the rooms
The room is kept at 23 degrees, hard to sleep when it's warmer outside than in. Amazing location to the train station and getting to the main attractions. Very clean and staff were very helpful and polite.

Convenience assured
The hotel is tucked away out of the hustle and bustle but very conveniently located to all public transport around Rome. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the porters were almost embarred to receive a tip. The rooms were very clean and tidy and well stocked with Tavel essentials including a free mini bar !! A great night stop over before heading to the airport the next morning on the train.

Beautiful Hotel, in an OK area
Although situated only one block from Termini, an area very central but not too inviting (little in the way of restaurants or sites), the hotel itself was an utter delight. On arrival we were greeted warmly by the front of house and that continued throughout our stay by all members of staff. The rooms (as with the hotel as a whole) were very clean, modern, spacious, comfortable and quiet. Good sized bathrooms were modern, and in my mothers case contained a huge bath. Free teas, coffees and soft drinks were replaced everyday in the room. Amenities included a sauna and a gym which I didn't use but looked good and everywhere was spotlessly clean. I'd highly recommend this hotel and defininitely stay again

Good hotel, good location, great staff
staff, breakfast, location
The hotel is located closed to Termini central station in a quiet back street. There are not that many rooms which gives the hotel a bit of personal feeling. Upon arrival I found out that 2 rooms were booked under my name which gave some confusion but the reception handled this in a very professional way. I made the booking through Agoda but it turned out that the booking was passed on to booking.com which I did not realize before arrival and gave some confusion due to payment method differences. I liked the hotel for many reasons. The biggest asset is without doubt the staff; friendly, efficient, helpful and problem solving. The rooms are not big but big enough to feel comfortable and everything you need is there and it is very clean. The gym is small but suitable for a standard workout and the breakfast is very good including the freshly squeezed orange juice. There are coffee /tea making facilities in the room and the mini fridge was free to use and replaced on a daily basis, which was a nice gesture. The things that did not make it to a 5 star review for me was the unstable wifi connection during the weekend days (no problem at all during the week days) and the fact that the heating system is centrally regulated. It was far too hot in the room and it was impossible to change this. The staff took the plug out so the system did not work in my room, but that still did not solve the high temperature in the room, which made me sleep with open windows with the noise from the street. Except for these 2 things I think it is a very good hotel that I can easily recommend.

It was really good . Very near to Termini Station and we paid 15 euros for the taxi from the hotel to Vatican City and it was only a ten minute ride from there to the Vatican city. The staff was friendly , the beds were comfy . We could not really fault it .. The staff were really friendly and helpful, the rooms were extremely clean, the breakfast was really good . A quiet location so near to the station . An absolute gem.
