Great Location Cheap Value For Money”
I was in a 18 room dorm which turned out to be all male so did not need to be modest around girls sharing the room. Usually only females are offered such privilege good to see someone giving the same things women get to men now more power for us mysogynistic men who hate narcistic women dominance with the wrong definition in English language of who feminist should be targeting. They are guilty of it and I have met so many narcistic people there too. Shame these selfish people ruin a gentleman's liberty.

Double room”
Spacious and clean. Shower cabin floor is very slippery when wet so be extra careful. No hook to hang towel or clothing in the bathroom. However, there was a stand in the room with plenty of hangers provided. Air conditioning will change the set temperature and turn off automatically.

Hi Thomas, Thank you so much for your feedback and we are glad that you enjoyed your experience with us
The Discovery is actually the Village - bit confusing - also a street number would be good. ”
Needs sound absorbing material in the main halls - very noisy with echos at night.

The Village, Melbourne”
This facility is perfect in location, being central Melbourne. Close to free tram transport around the city. The initial presentation can shock you as photos depict an unclean and run-down place prior to entering. On entering, the place appears as a sprawling, open layout plan of different levels. There is no apparent reception, it being down the entry stairs and comprised of just a couple of ad hoc tables with computers and manned by younger personnel, not dressed as one would feel to be management of any sort. Bodies of apparent customers wander around at leisure, playing pool or table tennis or communicating with each other. After checking in, one is assigned an identification number to access accommodation to a given room. this can be a dormitory from 6 to 18 beds in number. There is one shared toilet/shower room for all occupants and NO privacy whatsoever. Double bunk beds, unallocated are in situ. You have to provide all of your own toiletries and are provided with sheets and cover to make your own bed. There is no security of personal items within the room. Room cleaning is not reviewed.

Get what you paid for”
Experience was okay, bedding wasn't clean and it looked like there were signs of mould in the room. Also there were people who were taking blankets as they see fit - I was advised later during my stay by another guest that they were actually homeless who would randomly enter the hostel and sleep. Would recommend if you are on a very tight budget, but best to look elsewhere.

Thieves”
I lived here 10 days. There were soooooo many thieves in the kitchen and even in the dormitory! I lost my stuffs almost every day and I cannot stand it anymore! I'm pretty sure they took away my belongs deliberately. Some of my friends living here also encountered this kind of thing. One of them was stolen 100 dollars cash, credit card and passport. Lockers here are expensive but I think you should get one if you'd like to live in this hostel.

Avoid event season like Australian Open!!”
Staffs are friendly. Weekly events are fun. It’s good to make new friends. However it’s little bit noisy.
