District 3 hotels & places to stay

This hotel is brilliant for a young family, we were upgraded to a 3 bedroom apartment, beautifully appointed. Staff were extremely helpful and sooo polite. Although it's in district 3 it's only a 20 min walk to district 1 (downtown). Also the hotel have a free shuttle every hour to district 1. Will definitely stay here again, obviously very well managed with an absolute commitment to outstanding customer service. Awesome for kids with the club games wing, the two swimming pools, kiddies playroom, sauna and steam room. Very well priced room or pool side menu and only $6 AUD from the airport in a taxi. Love, Love, Love!!!

Bach Suites is absolutely amazing, it is a new hotel- about 9 months old situated right in District 3, a 4-mins walk to the famous 4P's Pizza and other eateries. You have Phuc Long, Highlands, Tea Ren's all surrounds the hotel. All the staffs are ever-friendliest you'll encounter :) Young and energetic, resourceful in telling you where best to eat! Since it is located in the heart of Saigon, you may need earplugs to sleep (which is provided for turndown service) so we are good with that. It was a contemporary classic modern decoration, you'll wake up to clean and comfortable environment everyday here! Will recommend to friends & family who will be visiting Saigon.

This is my first stay with SILA Urban Living (the "hotel") and I really did enjoy my sadly short stay - but am sure to be back again in the near future. I was suppose to have stayed for a total of 2 nights, but due to work exigency, I could only arrive one day later, while my fiancée stays over by herself for the first night. The hotel was very helpful to ensure that there were no inconvenience to my fiancée during the check-in process as the room was booked under my name. The hotel also advised and ensured we got a better priced deal with the hotel in respect of having breakfast at the hotel's restaurant. The hotel is very well situated in District 3, and has many restaurants and bars around the corner serving up local and international cuisine. The rooms were very clean and modern and has been fitted with state of the art electrical appliances - very much like a fitted service apartment, the beds were comfortable with clean sheets and the toilets, well maintained.

I booked two nights.I'm satisfied with this hotel.It is quite clean and tidy.And The room is big.The decoration is very especial,red and green.There are a green pillow and a red pillow at room.The wall is covered by green and red.The male staffs wear green clothes,the female staffs put on red clothes.It's preety attractive.I like the style of decoration.The staffs are especially friendly and enthusiastic.If u have any problem,they will assist you no doubt.There is fitness center on the rooftop.There is no swimming pool.But it doesn't matter,we play all the day outside.It is situated in district 3.The location isn't very good.But we spend a few minutes in getting to district 1 on foot.Overall,I think this hotel has high value of Money.So I extended four nights.I enjoy my stay.There is no doubt that I will recommend this hotel to my friends.And I will choose this hotel next time.

The hotel is situated in district 3.There is no many restaurants surrounding.But we can go 1 kilometer to district one on foot.Korea,Japan,chinese,Vietnamese food ••••,all kinds of food can be satisfied by all demands.Although the room is small,but it's quite clean.Each guest can enjoy the discount of spa.The staffs speak English fluently.There is no doubt that we can communicate with them.The price is reasonable.

Stayed here over the Christmas period and from the moment you walk through the beautifully designed front doors, you enter opulence and 5 star service. The hotel is exquisitely designed, from the high ceilings in the foyer to the furniture selections. The room is classically designed and the bed is one of the most comfortable beds I've slept on. The pool is on the rooftop and there is also a nice bar called the Social Club, which is nice to have some pre-dinner drinks. Hotel is in District 3 but it's one street from District 1 and is easily accessible to all attractions. Highly recommended!

First of all, let me start by saying that I don't normally write reviews since pretty busy but felt that I had to write a review this time. I've been to HCMC six times since my wife is Vietnamese and use to stay at a Hotel in District 1 which was pretty reasonable. We wanted to rent an apartment to have family over thus it was a new experience for us. I was a little apprehensive about renting an apartment since I had never it done it before. To my surprise, An Phu Plaza was an awesome experience. It was a very plush apartment with a nice living room, kitchen, bedroom, and even had a washing/drying machine. Both living room and bedroom had a flat panel TV (30") Actually we requested a studio but got a two bedroom apartment although the 2nd bedroom was locked thus couldn't use it (didn't pay for a 2 bedroom apartment). The furniture was definitely on the high end with nice leather sofas. The exercise facility was very nice as well. Since my wife is Vietnamese and I have been to HCMC six times, being in District 1 wasn't a big deal and felt location was perfect for us. Across the street is a very good Sinh To (smoothie place) with good local restaurants across the street as well. To go to District 1, it's a 5 min/$2 cab ride. I think this place is perfect for families as too. I highly recommend An Phu Plaza and will definitely stay there when we go back in 2 years. I think it's a really good value for what you get. As a traveller, we are absolutely spoilt with the number and types of accommodation available to us. To help me narrow down my search I always choose a hotel in the best possible location from the things that I want to see and the night life. I rely heavily on the feedback and although every traveller has different tastes, expectations and budgets, you can get a general feel of the hotel. The location of The Ramana was in District 3. District 1 is the heart of the city so the Ramana was a short taxi drive away. The airport was a short taxi fare away which was also convenient. The staff were very helpful. at reception was very helpful and professional in organising anything that I wanted to do or see. The room was clean and spacious with all the mod cons including a great bath tub. Hot water and air con was fine. Coffee etc. The breakfast buffet was extensive and catered for all nationalities. Would I stay here again and refer the hotel to others? - Absolutely!

Front desk staff allowed me to check in early at no additional cost. Thank you! Even though the hotel is located in district 3, I was still able to enjoy my walk to Notre Dame Cathedral and Ben Thanh market (both in district 1--took about 20-30 minutes). Taxis are very cheap to district 1 and the airport. Room is clean and comfortable. Blackout curtains block out the traffic noise and sun. Good buffet breakfast.

My family stayed at the hotel. And after reading some people's reviews, I was a abit worried what I had booked, On arrival and now after departing. I do not understand where the negative reviews come from, It is a nice and clean 3 star hotel. NOT a five star hotel. If you want 5 star then pay for 5 star. Staff could not have been any more friendly or helpful with my family. Security even took us out one night when they had finished to show us areas where tourists don't bother to look at, where they treated us to a meal. Hotel in an ideal area. 10 mins walk to most tourist destinations. But also in district 3 where some of nicest street food we tasted and cheaper than district 1.

Oakwood Apartments is located in a small lane in District 3 which was pretty central but somewhat hard to find for some cab drivers (with Uber, it wasn't a problem). However, the room was cute with lovely design/ furnitures. The lobby smells fresh and pleasant when you walked in. Staff were friendly enough. Price is right for the place. Some downsides were (1) the 4 pillows which were way too overstuffed and there's no softer/flatter ones (2) the cafe in the lobby should at least serve some quick, easy/healthy breakfast food such as muffins, granolas, fruits, yogurt etc. this is easy to do & will be especially helpful for business travellers before dashing to meetings, currently they only serve beverages, (3) bathroom lacks shelving and mirror was hung too high for a short person like me. But overall, I would consider staying here again and hope that the management would look into improving the above points.

The location of this hotel is great, in district 3 but a very walkable distance to district 1, where many sights, attractions, restaurants and malls/markets are. Great shower, staff very helpful, breakfast pretty good, you can get all the standard things you would find at a hotel. ..toast, muesli, eggs, salad, soup, fruit, coffee, meats, fried rice, it goes on. Overall, good value for money!

An excellent place for someone who is familiar with Saigon/Vietnam or who appreciates to be "at home" after a day working/sightseeing. Ideally located in District 3 it is close to everything, but not in the touristy area. The building and apartments is just gorgeous. A place you want to stay for a long time, not just three weeks as I did. I often enjoyed my evenings on the quiet roof-top terrace, all on my own...the only thing you look for after a day working in noisy Saigon. And of course, it's close to all the insider bars and restaurants . All in all the place to be for someone who enjoys the not-so touristy places the city has to offer.

Regardless what the bad comments were posted by other patrons who has stayed in this hotel before, I have got one of best rooms with sufficient hot water supply, completed kitchen utensils. during my stay. It could be the reaults from previous bad comments by the previous patrons. Language could be a problem to foreigners but the receptionist is doing his best to assist customers. It is a 3 stars hotel and the value you paid for the place is already worthy, what more do you expect?

We had a wonderful stay at Saigon Mansions/Poonsa Apartments. The location is quite central and if you are brave enough to cross the roads then you will find most areas of interest nearby. We did walk to the War museum which is located on the same road as the apartments, and you are in walking distance of a supermarket as well:) You could probably walk to the markets and the theatre (and other areas of interest), however, we took ubers to and from for around 20,000- 30,000 VND (approx 1 GBP). We were met by Yin when we arrived, who was most helpful. She booked the tunnels trip for us and helped organise transport, and also pointed out the local sights nearby. We had a great time in Vietnam and as a family of 5 appreciated having the 3 bed-roomed apartment. The kitchen was equipped enough for us to eat in and also had a washing machine:). High ceiling and good sized bedrooms meant that we could relax together and had our own space too. All staff- reception, cleaning to housekeeping were very good. If we visit Ho Chi Minh again, we will stay at Poonsa:)

I booked for four person to stay for 3 nights and I was given a one-room apartment and one connecting room. The Apartment is very spacious and has an equipped kitchen and a washer/dryer as well. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. We like the shower too. The reception staff are friendly and they all could communicate rather well in English. A reception staff named Lynn who assisted us in checking in is very helpful and friendly to us throughout our stay there. The hotel is located in District 3 where good food and cafes are just down the streets. it is also walking distance to many famous places such as Notre Dame church, war museum, turtle lake, Vincom shopping mall etc
