Beautiful spot
It's a really nice private beach resort, beautiful environment. Really nice and comfortable rooms with fantastic view. Overall we had a very good stay. We stayed for 3 nights and there's no one came to clean our rooms at all. Staff were not very helpful

Disappointed
Boat that brought us to the resort ran out of gas, medical emergency was responded with no clinic on a resort that was inaccessible immediately from the main town of El Nido, towels had spiders on them, rooms do not have keys, staff did not seem very knowledgeable about their designations/facilities.

Luxury in paradise
We spent four nights here in this peaceful, paradise setting and couldn't understand the bad reviews, except those relating to staff. The attractive thatched cottages are well appointed with amazing ocean views and the sunsets are to die for! We had no experience of creepy crawlies invading the accommodation and the lack of electricity during the day, once you were prepared, was no problem at all. Food was varied and plentiful at dinner to cater for all tastes with fish, meat and vegetarian dishes. However the desserts were rather random with a chocolate banana crepe one night and just a tiny banana another. Other guests were served water melon and when we asked for it we got it! My son took a kayak out to a neighbouring island, and we took advantage of the free island hopping boat trips on the three days we qualified, a great chance to get to know other guests. It would have been nice if barbequed lunches had been included on the boats --we would have gladly paid for them--as they were on all other commercial boat trips. But I guess the resort wanted us to buy cold meals from their kitchen! The swimming pool was lovely as was the massage, costing 600 pesos, slightly more than in El Nido but worth it for the exclusive setting and convenience. The only disappointment was that the staff did not have the joie de vivre which was the trademark of elsewhere in the Philippines, and were rather cool. This I think was down to the rather dour Italian owner/manager, who, we were told later, had told his staff not to communicate with guests. I celebrated my birthday there and when my son asked they said they could not produce a birthday cake--totally unlike a hotel in Sri Lanka. They also did not clear tables of food and drink in the cottages so we had to return empty plates and glasses ourselves. Not too much of a problem with us but it upset other guests. Once we left for our next hotel in El Nido the vibrancy and friendliness of the people were in stark contrast to the

Magnificent view
Take the rooms with the ocean view. It is well worth the price difference. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The place was peaceful and quiet. Wish they can extend the generator run to at least 5am. Also, put screens in the Windows. There are other minor things that can be improved but all told the staff were helpful and made our stay a pleasant one.

Very exaggerated prices. Terrible Customer service
Location.
The boss and the staff considers its customers as purses. Not only the comfort of the rooms is very basic compared to the price, but in top of that, as the owner is focus on saving money, this is the only hotel in El Nido that doesn't has all-day electricity and running water. No attention will be given to you, even worse, when you ask the staff for a brief request (for example a 3 minutes-call), it is immediately charged. We stayed at Dolarog for the New Year's Eve, and the 1st of January, they charged us the breakfast because we came at 10:00 AM vs 8:00 AM. The staff made a mistake at the checkout, they charged us a bill that was not ours : not only they did not apologize, but the staff manager clearly told us that she didn't believe us. That's the kind of ungrateful treatment that we received ...Cherry on the cake: they charged us 5% fee for the payment by credit card...
