Excellent”
The resort was quiet and enjoyed the staff. The room was very clean and the food was great. We enjoyed our room which overlooked the pool and bay. I will definitely book again. The location is away from the hustle and bustle of the town and it's just a tricycle ride away. The local residents are friendly and safe to walk around. It is situated roughly between the town of Puerto Galera and Sabang. Sabang is a diver paradise. Although the resort offers dive trips I don't have much information about it and it is best to find out more. Thank you all at the resort to make our stay memorable.

Great experience!”
We had our stay last April 20-22 to celebrate my birthday and to have the weekend off outside the city. Yes the resort is a bit expensive but it is all worth it! I enjoyed our stay overall especially my daughter, she really loved the pools! The view from our suite room was superb, the room was clean and nice, aircon is cold, with free towels and toiletries. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, they even offered to book our ferry tickets for us as we leave Puerto Galera with no charges just out of hospitality. The free breakfast is really delicious and offers variety everyday with free drinks as well. If you want to have a peaceful and serene vacation then this resort is for you away from the crowd and noisy white beach but still within reach just one tricycle ride and you can experience white beach as well in a flash! If I may just offer a suggestion, the restobar should extend hours so we can still chill having drinks while enjoying the peaceful night :) Highly recommended!!

Tranquil Resort in Beautiful Setting”
Although I expected a busy divers resort, I was surprised that none were in sight and there were three dive ships adn two swimming pools sitting unused. Clearly this Australian owned resort was in its low season. My partner and I were alone in the resort, pampered by friendly staff. Location is a bit distant from Sabang or White Beach, requiring transportation to get to either. Manager Allan was exceptionally accomodating, allowing free use of internet, karaoke setup, canoe, and arranging custom tour. Restaurant menu was misleading as few items listed were actually available, or had to be ordered in advance. Beach barbeque was high point of tour with interaction with family tending the area, which included seeing goats, chickens, turkey, etc. fresh coconut juice on a beautiful secluded private beach.

Nice and relaxing hotel”
The resort features three levels for rooms depending on your need. We rented the standard room which is located at the third floor which gave us a wonderful stay due to the location's quietness, spacious bathroom, has a vault to safe keep your valuables and a huge bed which I guess can be slept on by up to 4 people. Since it is located a bit far from the famous White Beach, relaxation is the main offering of the resort to its clients. Just by being at their bar/reception, already provides you your much-awaited silence while hearing the sounds at the beach. We could had a better stay here if only the food prices are a bit cheaper but it tastes good, the pool is shallow (4feet to 10 feet I think in a few steps- maybe because it is used for scuba training) and if the beach was cleaner. But overall, the resort deserves my recommendation and I could give it 4 out 5 stars.

Location not so good but rooms were ok.”
This resort hotel was under renovation during our stay. It did not disrupt things at the hotel that much but the dining area was limited. It was a fair way out of Sabang and Puerto Galera and that was a problem. Also it was quite a walk up steep steps to and from the main area of the hotel to the rooms and to the roadway above where you needed to go to get transport to town. Also the hotel advertised free use of kayaks for guests but we were charged 200pesos for the use of a 2nd kyak for the kids for 1hr. Not impressed by that. Also they did not change bed linen or towels at all during our entire stay. Overall I would not recomend this hotel to anyone planning a holiday in Sabang or Puerto Galera.

Quite expensive but worth it”
Went for a peaceful vacation so we stayed away from the busy Sabang and White beach. We got the peace we wanted. Although during our stay, there was a teambuilding happening in the adjacent resort which was very noisy. Not the results fault though. The jacuzzi was truly relaxing. The view from the pool and jacuzzi was amazing. One thing though is there was a smell of poop in the gardens. No everyday cleaning of rooms also, no changing of towels I think unless requested. Food in the resort was very limited. Huge serving but average in taste.

Depends upon your needs”
I brought my family to stay for 4 days over Christmas. The rooms are fine, the restaurant and bar area quite nice, the pool is lovely, the view is great and there is a nice small beach. But the jet ski is broken, the hobie cat is broken, the speedboat is broken and the ultra lite is broken. There is no banana boat. So the pictures on the website are misleading. As a dive resort I suppose it would be good, and the social time at the resto-bar is very good indeed, with nice music, friendly people and quite enjoyable. But, for a family vacation with the kids clamoring to go out on the jet ski etc...well, sorry, but I cannot recommend.

Very good hotel and good location”
The hotel is in a great location overlooking the bay.Views from the balcony are stunning. The hotel is not for the faint hearted because there are many steps to climb to the road if you want a tricycle depending of course which floor you are situated on.It has a well stocked bar if you want to look over the bay for a evening of relaxation. The staff and owner were very helpful in giving us a lot of information on places to visit and how to get there.Great jacuzzi and pools.Very clean in fact the afore mentioned.I would stay at this hotel again.

Nice place, but the incompetent staff ruined our stay”
We've been to this part of Mindoro for 5th time. After a year spent in the Philippines, this was the first time a hotel staff actually really ruined our trip and caused us a financial damage. What went wrong? 1. They forgot our booking and demanded extra payment from us. 2. They promised us to book a boat trip back to Luzon, but failed to do so, causing us a financial damage of 3500 PHP (we had to go with a private boat) and life-threatening experience (the boat got damaged half-way to Luzon). Although the place and location is nice and we did enjoy the amenities, we strongly recommend to think twice before you book your stay here, because this is what happened to us and what we believe may happen to anyone else due to the unprofessional attitude and incompetent service of the hotel management. Failed booking - We booked and paid in full 2 standard rooms a week in advance through Agoda. When we arrived, we were told that the hotel haven't processed our booking and all standard rooms are full. They offered us 2 deluxe rooms instead, but only if we pay 1600 PHP extra. We refused and demanded to be accommodated without any extra cost given the fact that it was the hotel's fault. All other hotels were already full, so there was even no other option for us. The woman who "manages" the place called the owner (Austrian guy, probably her husband) only to tell us that we really have to pay the extra money. We asked her to let us talk with the owner, presuming he just doesn't have all information. So we called him and unfortunately, he is just that stupid that he told us that it's our problem and that we should deal with Agoda. So, instead of enjoying our weekend, we had to sit in the lobby and deal with Agoda. Fortunately, Agoda customer service helped us and we got the 2 deluxe rooms for no extra fee. Unfortunately, the experience with the hotel was already quite horrifying. Luckily the stay was then fine, although we kind of expected the owner to

Good”
The Place is nice, quiet and relaxing, I recommend this place for those people who don't like crowded resorts like those on white beach. The road leading to the resort were not yet completed so the ride was a bumpy one, although they have service shuttle provided for the guests going to and from from the resort. The people there were very nice and accommodating but were understaffed. The food there is good, but a little expensive. If you don't have any problems going up and down the stairs, book a room near the pool. WIFI connection is good in the bar area. In the resort, you can rent a motorcycle for a whole day so you can explore other attractions in the area. Other options are tours that can be arranged by the resort using either by tricycle or van. The rooms were nice and clean.

Lovely cove with stunning view and helpful staff”
The place is in a stunning position overlooking the bay, close to all the interest points of the island. We had a very nice time there, the only bad point are the very long steps to reach the street to get a tricycle, but that's the price to pay to stay on right on the bay...

Nice & Cozy place”
The hotel was nice, the staff are very friendly and accommodating. So many things you can do like billiards & kayaking... The price of the food is a bit high but it compliments with the taste.

Quiet and serene”
The first day was discouraging. We transferred room from booked standard with porch due to non working faucet to adjacent room, but the hallway is dark due to non working light, so we had to transfer to ground floor. Unfortunately, the bath room is so smelly with leaks on pipe causing wet flooring due to non maintenance of the plumbing system. There was a dead rat on shower room near the jacuzzi. The pool was dirty, perhaps it was due to rains the day before. The staff should be wearing uniform whether we were the only guests or not. These are all constructive criticisms which they have to consider seriously. Once done, the place can level up & be more competitive to attract more guests.

Acceptable”
This is my second time to visit Dolphin Bay, was there way back 2015 and it was nice. The place was so relaxing that time, we had free shuttle from Baletero and vise versa. That's the reason I chose this resort to celebrate my son's 3rd birthday, however it is totally different, I am so disappointed. They said that they will arrange so that someone can pick us up at the port, since we travel with 3 kids. We booked two rooms so they sent 2 trikes. They didn't even inform us that we need to pay for them. each trike cost 150 so we have to pay 300php. They should have at least set the expectation when I ask ahead of time about the pick up. Worst is around 3pm there was a blackout. I asked if when will the electric power will work, they said that we just need to wait 10 mins and the generator will work. we waited 30 mins and still no electricity. It was so hot, so we decided to go somewhere for the kids. We went to white beach and have to rent a minivan to bring us there. We paid another 700 for that. The value of the room is Ok however because we need to go somewhere because it was so hot at the room, instead of saving it costs us more. And when we got back to our room around 8pm still no electricity, it took awhile. So we have to wait. Very bad experience.

Not fun, not comfortable”
This hotel is in a nice location, and at one time was probably very nice. However, it's now run-down, and badly understaffed: Only 2 people were working there during our stay, and they were working 18-hour shifts. (The foreign owner was present, but never lifted a finger to help or even say hello.) The room had lots of problems: rock-hard bed, intermittent hot water, mosquitoes, cockroaches, and no TV reception. The breakfasts were OK, but other meals were mediocre. Plus, be aware that from the point on the road where your van or taxi drops you off, there are 177 steps down to the registration and dining area -- and, good luck finding anyone to help you with your luggage. If you want to go out to dinner, you'll have to climb those 177 steps. Returning, you'll have to descend them again, this time in the dark. (Take a flashlight with you.) The only redeeming characteristic of this place is the nice, private beach -- but during our stay it was very windy and cool, so we couldn't even enjoy that.
