I did provide the arrival time and reached the location about 1 pm and was told could not check in until 6 pm as there were no empty rooms. The staff spoke no English except to say NO ROOM. COME BACK 6PM. I insisted to speak to a manager and was connected to someone who spoke English and told me to come back at 6pm. I insisted that this was unreasonable. The lady on the phone then changed the story to say "the room had not yet been cleaned" and would be ready at 3pm. The INCLUSIVE BREAKFAST was awful and consisted of an outside paper bag from McDonald's consisting of a COLD small hamburger and a small cup of cold coffee. Disgusting and a gross misrepresentation of a "free breakfast". Never again.

Do not expect any customer service ”
We stayed 2 nights at Dong Feng motel in different rooms: the Deluxe Suite then the Standard room. Both rooms matched the description. They were clean but both smelled cigarette and the hotel corridor was not clean. More importantly, we had an execrable experience with some incompetent staff, which ruined our stay in the motel. Language was not the issue as we could speak Mandarin. When we arrived, it was raining heavily, we had a young child. We asked whether we could check-in earlier as requested during the booking. First our booking could not be found, then there was confusion over check-in time (6 pm? 8 pm ?), afterwards they asked for paying extra for earlier check-in but it would have doubled the room rate for a couple of hours in advance. Mostly the receptionist's poor attitude show they are not ready to welcome more international guests. When we wanted to leave our luggage at the motel after checking-out, they were also very reluctant. Very poor experience overall.

Pleasant stay”
Firstly be warned, this place is a live motel, so. If you don't want to stay in one, don't stay here. Having said that it was clean, pleasant and spacious. The staff didn't speak much English but were exceedingly helpful and friendly. You can get a lot done by communicating with them with Google translate on your phone. The rooms are slightly dated but huge and good value for money. Breakfast is a McDonald's delivery - but you can just as easily walk 3 minutes to the main road and find plenty of local foods to try (again you'll need Google translate - Taiwanese people are very warm and welcoming but speak abysmally little English). Overall a pleasant stay, the staff were lovely, room old but clean and huge, and the location is a 10 minute walk from the closest MRT station. The hotel staff can help arrange taxis at the door (again use Google translate to communicate your needs).

nice room for 1 night layover”
I stayed here during my one night layover in Taiwan, and although it was a bit far from the airport, the room itself was bigger and cleaner than I expected. I think the motel is intended for couples to stay in, but they are pretty well equipped with amenities. The neighborhood is pretty quiet and there were several restaurants around the motel, as well as a convenient store (they do provide breakfast and deliver it right outside your door in the morning). Their staff were also friendly. Overall, the stay was worth the money.

Serves its purpose, but they could do better”
We're an American (USA) family with young children, but they don't factor into this review. We booked the room based on both its name and picture (Deluxe Suite Whirlpool Bathtub) and upon check-in were given a Standard room (verified via pictures that it was a different room). After 20-30 minutes of talking with the office attendant (to her credit, she was polite as we used Google Translate to communicate), she called either Agoda or the management/owners who verified that the motel was obligated to provide the room advertised. The switch from there was seamless. Once we got to our room, it smelled of cigarette smoke (not uncommon in this type of motel, but now illegal in Taiwan) and the hot water for the Jacuzzi tub ran quite slowly. It also wasn't very hot; just very very warm. I like that they utilize McDonald's for breakfast, but they don't offer vegetarian options... yes, McDonalds has veggie options. This should be an easy fix.

Room 303 is not good”
A socket is " wired" located on the floor!! yes!! on the floor!! I can't remember how many times i kick it as I go to bathroom!! and 2+1 bed in 303 but, a integrated remote panel is really far away from the big bed. that's not convenient as well. room is clean, no smoke. i think 303 is a little small compared to others.

Stayed in Deluxe Suite. Room was huge with a full sized Jacuzzi. Room was clean. Breakfast is packed McDonalds delivered to the room. It is located in an area where there are shops, restaurants and a 7-11 all within a few minutes walking distance.

Comfortable but not special”
My stay was ok, but not special. The room was large, dark and relaxing, so I slept well. However, I could not access the internet via smart phone. No wi-fi! The breakfast was a disappointment, McDonald's. And there was virtually no room service. I was told to go to 7-11 to buy ice and chopsticks.
