We booked this hotel just 2 days before the trip as problem with previous hotel. Quite rush, but we were still lucky. The room is quite small but still ok for 3 of us (parents and 8 year old kid) as we just use room for sleeping at night. Staff are very nice; the hotel is clean, new, have washing machine and balance (scale) to weight your luggage also. It is 10 mins walk from subway station, 5 mins walk to airport bus (Bus no. 6002-Cheongnyangni station), have many convenience store like 7-11, GS25, Emart 24 around. There is also a big supermarket E-mart near hotel, 10 mins walk. They also serve breakfast which is ok for us. We have had 3 nights here and really like it. Will recommend it to my friends and will be back next time in Seoul. Thanks Seoul N Hotel Dongdaemun.

Firstly, we would like to thank Mr Sam Jung for going out of his way to help us during our stay at hotel skypark. We were overcharged for some expensive items and Mr Sam helped us to communicate with the store and retrieve the money back for us. He was polite and professional throughout and we really appreciate his kindness. We stayed in the princess room which looked as pretty as what was seen in the photos. Room was big, with a kitchenette that comes with a microwave and plenty of space for us to enjoy our takeouts. Hotel was located within the Hyundai outlets and right beside doota. The rest of the dongdaemun wholesale area was also within close walking distance. There is even a convenience store right at the lobby where we could stock up on some snacks before going out or after our late night shopping. Great hotel, we really enjoyed our stay here.

We really enjoyed our stay here! The location is perfect, only 1 min walk from Dongmyo station and 8 min walk from Dongdaemun station. We booked deluxe double with (I think) the promotion price so it's really worth it. The airport bus stop, dongdaemun market, Jongmyo shrine is also close from this hotel. The room size is enough for us (we booked the deluxe double room) with great view. Although the bathroom is considered small, it is okay for us since it was really clean and also they changed the towel everyday. It was a really pleasant stay for us!

I like this hotel. It is near DDP, near subway exit 7 (from Seoul station is no. 4 stop Dongdaemun history and culture Park St) , near 6001 airport bus stop(just need to cross the road-2 min walk) near the restaurant. The room is big, the bed is big. It is clean. It has the basic things you need kettle, shampoo, toothpaste,lotion. Breakfast is at 7am. There are a lot choices, bread, fruits, salads, pasta, mixed veggie and etc. They also tried to change the menu everyday. The other best thing is that Nami Island tour and Everland pick up is from Dongdaemun which is near Acube hotel. Special thanks To Jay and Ms. Lee for assisting me. They are helpful people.

This hotel is located right next to Dongdaemun Design Center and tons of eateries and shopping within walking distance. Bathroom was sleek and modern and room was clean. Tv would turn on when you entered room and the beds and pillows were the best ever, including any 4 or 5 star hotel!! There are so many hotels popping up constantly and this one is fairly recent so not all the cab drivers were familiar with it; definitely need to provide them with address. Also a big plus is the KAL bus to airport pickup/drop off is right in front of the hotel.

hotel was very convinient. it's a stone throw away from dongdaemun history & culture park station and the dongdaemun fashion town. and just 2 stops away from myeongdong on subway line #4. the room was basic. and if you are not expecting any luxury, uljiro co-op residence would be the perfect place to stay at. all the necessary things required are available. they have free wifi at the hotel lobby. and if you prefer using the desktop, there are two of them available for use at no charge. they even allow you to print stuff out free of charge as well which was really nice. as for the room, i would say that my stay was actually really good! stayed 7 nights there and i had good rest each night. my friend and i shared a room (double sharing with a queen size bed). the bed and pillow was not too bad. there is also a small table with 2 chairs. and a plasma tv mounted on wall where we watched various korean drama and variety shows each night! many channels to choose from. there was a small kichenette where we made hot drinks everyday too! the first 2 bottle of mineral water was complimentary as well. after reading reviews from various sites, there were negative comments on the toilet. it was kinda small but it's actually okie honestly. there's no seperate shower room, but it has a small cabinet where the clean towels were placed. the spare compartments were used to store the clothings without getting them wet! so that solved the problem. and rooms were kept clean each day. the ahjummas were really nice to replace with fresh towels everyday too. by the way, from incheon international airport, you just need to take bus 6001, and it takes you directly to the door step of the hotel. this made the return trip much easier for me and my friend with our heavy luggages. and it only cost per trip. there is also a convinience stall gs25 less than 2mins away.

Very centralised location. Near to the subway. Can reached directly by airport bus 6001 ( just directly outside hotel). Very friendly and helpful staff. It is very nearby nice restaurants, subway ( green, purple and blue line) and 15 min walk to dongdaemun. There is a two two friend chicken stall very nearby. The hotel is situated on Dongdaemun near the Gwangjang Market. This hotel is very closed to the aiport limousine bus stop. It is situated in the middle of Dondaemun closed to Myeongdong and Insadong. The hotel is a little bit small but very clean. The TV is not in front at the end the bed but side view of the bed so difficult to watch tv. The hotel amenities is fine. The staff are very helpful. They speak good english and will teach you the way if you want to go to some places. The hotel shuttle is very good but need to have an advance booking because always full. Overall, we had a great stay in Hotel Skypark Dongdaemun 1. Definitely if we had a chance, we will stay in this hotel again....🙂🙂🙂

firsty.. location: this hotel is located between 2 subway stations. it's about a 5 - 10 minute walk from either subway stop - (euljiro 4-ga or dongdaemun history culture park). you can walk above ground (not much to see though, small cafes only) or underground sports markets. the underground walk connects directly to the subway station (exit 17 is the closest to the hotel). walking around here, also feels very safe. we were walking at midnight and it was fine. the dongdaemun markets/shopping area is open until 5am! so the location of the hotel is great, as after a day of touring or activities, you can go shopping til late, and simply walk home at 3am. to and from incheon airport it takes about 1.5 - 2hrs... you can take the subway straight from the airport (have to transfer lines 2 times i think, from memory), or there's an airport bus (bus 6001) and the bus stop is only 3 - 5minutes walk around the corner from the hotel (in front of the co-op). price: i (24) stayed here with my partner (27), cousin (17) and friend (25). we had a 4 single beds room (which is rare!) with included breakfast. we stayed for 5 nights. the price was soooo cheap considering it was a deluxe (korean standard) hotel. breakfast wasn't a traditional continental breakfast, it's a mixture of korean and western things. the menu isn't very large, but it's good, and it changes everyday to prevent it from getting boring, for those staying more than a few days and have breakfast there everyday. in comparison to other hotels, the price was really value for money. room/staff: the room was very clean! the bathroom was very clean! the shower water was nice and warm. we came here when it was the end of winter so it was still quite cold weather, and the heating system was a lifesaver. the place doesn't have a heater, but it has heated floors! and that was enough to heat up the whole room, even to the point where it was so warm, we needed to open the windows to let some fresh cold air in.

Location of the hotel is situated arkuns 5 mins walk from Cheongyani station (exit 4) - slightly further off from the usual hotspot of Myeongdong / Dongdaemun which makes it quieter. Theres a Lotte Departmental Store, Starbucks and Paris Baguette and other street food nearby so you won't be found wanting. Room is not small - but not exactly large. Quite modest for the three of us. Comfy bed, clean sheets, strong wifi and hot water (very important in winter!). The staff even helped us to order fried chicken and jajjangmyeon which is awesome. Lovely stay - would come back and stay if ever i were to visit Seoul again.

I booked an economy double and although a bit on the cramped side, the room was spotless and very comfortable. The hotel is right in the heart of the Dongdaemun Market, on the top floors of the Migliore Mall (but surprisingly quiet!). Even though I would have preferred a room overlooking the Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) that is right in front of the hotel, my room on the West side's 20th floor had a beautiful view of the mountains and the fortress wall. The hotel's entrance is located on the side of the mall and faces an alley filled with eateries. There are also tons of street food vendors all around the hotel. Another perk of the hotel is the KAL airport limousine bus stop that is located right on the opposite side of the street, in front of the DDP (ticket is purchased from the City Tours kiosk next to the bust stop - 16,000won, 60-80 mins travel time). The staff was also very kind and helpful. The 6,6000 won cooked breakfast was delicious and generous, although the menu information provided in the room wasn't up to date. Also, I stayed over the Chuseok holiday, and the staff kindly offered traditional treats to the guests.

Hotel was exactly same as pictures posted on Agoda website- very clean and new. Service was excellent- Staff are there 24/7. They always help in any way they can to assist and accomodate yr requests. Wifi is free in rooms/High speed. Location- It may look a little far on map from downtown seoul but it is conveniently located from 2 subway stations,abt 10 mins walk. Eateries are plentiful/shops serving mainly locals are plentiful/huge Lotte Mall and supermart also closeby. And the area is a safe Comment for singaporeans- Can never get similar hotel in singapore for the rate they are charging. Cab fare from hotel to subway is S$3/to Dongdaemun abt S$8

It was great. Got a super good rate as I visited South Korea when they were rocked by MERS. Location is superb. Pretty near Seoul Station. 30 seconds to subway. 3 mins to the "riverside" walk thingie. Walkable to the wholesale centre for clothes and even Dongdaemun! Hotel is clean, cozy with good sized rooms for South Korean standard given the price of real estate in Seoul.

Modern and chic boutique hotel. Each room has its own unique design (nevertheless, in one of our rooms, the toilet bowl, sink and bath tub are in 3 separate areas of the room - making it quite inconvenient after toilet). big and spatious room with water machine and computer to use. May be more suitable for couples than families with older children as in our room, the shower shares the same glass door with the toilet. Very clean room though with no place to hang clothes or towels. Only 2 hangers in the far end of our room (but this seemed quite common in all the hotels we have stayed in Korea this time) Convenient location - 3 mins walk to Shinseol-dong metro station, which is 2 stations away from the famous DDP or Dongdaemun station. Hotel's entrance is quite hard to find tho - easier to walk thru the Hotel Cafe. Generally, good for its price.

This hotel is one of the cutest hotels I've ever been too. Although it has no gym or swimming pool or facilities like that, the room is very cute. Each room has its own unique interior design and you get to choose your room at check-in. They also have a cafeteria on the second floor that is also a lounge. The hotel across the street from one of the exits for Dongdaemun History and Culture Park station and is conveniently located on 3 different lines. It is a great location for shopping and there are many great restaurants nearby as well. The staff was extremely helpful, I realized my A/C was not working and they immediate switched me to another room. Also, they let me use the lounge after checking out. Will definitely stay again.

It's a wonderful well-kept hotel with options of warm indoor pool, sauna, and good restaurant. Great 20th floor lobby ambiance with LED wall showing this hotel embracing hi-tech as part of its offering and soothing roof deck with lounges as well as open yoga area. Kids area is wonderful and safe, catering not only toddler play but also bigger kids with the availability of PS4, they just need to provide more games. Good selection of western with a section of Korean breakfast, enjoyed the daily fresh salmon as well as the warm chocolate croissant. Walking distance to a famous landmark, hop-on/off bus stop, subway, & restaurants. Downside: Even though the hotel location close to a noticeable landmark (Dongdaemun Design Plaza), a lot of taxi drivers didn't know the hotel. The main drop-off lobby located on the back part of the hotel instead of the front part (main highway) of the hotel, creates confusion for all cars when dropping off the guests.

The hotel was value for money. Located near exit 10 of Sinseol-dong station Line 1, it was only 2 stops away from Dongdaemun. However, it's far enough to escape the hustle and bustle of busy commercial areas. Line 2 is less used due to the orientation of the lines. Be prepared to walk a lot to get to Line 1 though it's an interchange station. Back to the hotel, they let us check in early without additional charges. The front desk staff was friendly and courteous. The rooms were clean and adequate. The hotel toiletries were very good and in some ways, better than the commercial products that we had (the conditioner and body lotion was superb!). Breakfast was a small selection of east and west but for KRW9900, I couldn't complain. One thing that we missed was the weekend folk market which is near the hotel as we had to go to our next destination on Saturday. If we do come back to Seoul, this hotel will be on the shortlist. Minor issue: smoky smell in the bathroom on first day as the ventilation carried the smoke from other rooms. Though this was a non-smoking hotel, they couldn't control what some guests did. The hotel staff did promptly sprayed and cleaned what he could to make it tolerable. After the first day, the smell was less. Presumably the smoking guest checked out.

Location of this guesthouse is most ideal for shoppers. The area is full of malls and very alive and vibrant throughout the day and night. It is located above the Maxtyle mall, rooms start on the 15th floor and the office for checking-in is on the 18th floor. It was quite difficult to find at first. After you come out at Exit 1 of the Dongdaemun History and Culture Park station, you will face the huge Maxtyle building right in front of you, across the road. Cross it, and walk to the left of this building. There is a side entrance on the left side with lifts leading to 18th floor for checking in. Or alternatively, you can enter the shopping mall and ask the kind doorman for help. The rooms are huge and clean. We booked a twin but was given 2 twins and 1 double bed. There was plenty of space to spread out. The shower and toilet are together, the sink is outside. There is a small kitchenette with a kettle for boiling water. But no sink here. We are often reminded that this is a guesthouse, not a hotel by the numerous signs. Which means we do everything ourselves. There is no housekeeping, changing of sheets or towels. You have to bring the used towels to 18th floor to get new ones. Breakfast was also on 18th floor, with seating only for 10 people, though there are 2 tables on the corridor. You fry your own eggs, toast your own bread, make your own coffee. Which was quite fun for our group! Location, size of room and decent room rate makes up for the lack of housekeeping and DIY breakfast. Will recommend this guesthouse to groups of friends or families who require big rooms at affordable rates.

The staff very accommodating. Location is Okay. Hotel is nice enough. I found the room to be clean and with all the things you would expect. I guess it's a more Korean traditional hotel. The floors wooden and the window shutters ( instead of curtains) were true 'black-out' drapes. There room seems to be noise proof. With the window open I could hear everything and with the windows closed I could hear nothing. I would recommend it and would do it again.

The hotel was superb. Great location. 5 minute leisurely walk to Dongdaemun History and Culture Plaza Station (lines 2,4,5). Walking distance to the Dongdaemun shopping area. Food establishments 2-3 mins away. Staff were very helpful and served with a ready smile. Even the cleaning lady was cheerful and gave us whatever extra amenities we needed. Room was spacious and clean. Wi-fi was strong. To top it all, the airport limousine bus stopped right in front of the hotel entrance and so with all our luggage, there was no hassle of getting a ride to the airport. Really, really convenient. Only drawback (if you can call it that) was that there was no breakfast included with the rooms. Other than that, everything was ok. I recommend this hotel for a place to relax and rest after a whole day touring the city.

I had a really nice stay at this hostel. Thank you and keep it up! Apart from the good management of the hostel itself, all the guests who were being cooperative and open-minded also attributed to the excellence of the stay. The staff are all so passionate and kind, especially the female manager. One night, the female manager, another room guest from Taiwan and I had a chat accompanied by hot tea and chocolate cookies till after midnight. The feeling was so great. Even if I was a traveller staying on my own, this hostel gave me this very warm feeling. Very very warm, clean and comfortable environment which made me feel like home. Although the room was small, the hostel provided all the toiletries. I just needed to bring a toothbrush and body lotion to stay in the hostel. As this is a B&B hostel, the noise-proof was actually not that good but it was very quiet during my 3-night stay: credit given to all the guests being cooperative and staying quiet after midnight!!! Very convenient location – 3-min walk to Dongmyo subway station and 15-min walk to Dongdaemun. There were a lot of bakery, convenience stores, supermarket, cafes, restaurants, food and fruit stalls opening from early morning till midnight nearby. Breakfast, snacks and drinks provided.

The room is clean and tidy. Great with price worth. I found korean street snack shop on the way to subway station😊. The location is at the edge of dongdaemun district. I need to take ~30 minutes subway to main district. The main problem for me is that no laundry service at this hotel. I stayed 8 days. I just threw some of old clothes to trash and bought new one...

Was looking for a budget single room with a bathroom at a convenient location. This hostel is located right next to Dongdaemun Station exits 2 and 3 (both with stairs only). There is a bus stop for Airport Limousine 6002 which is 1 minute away. Was given a bunk bed room even though I booked a single room. It was quite spacious given the price. The room was very clean and new. The staff there were really nice and helpful, and could speak English. Kyochon Chicken is around the corner (4-minute walk).DDP and Dongdaemun History Park Station are close by too (10-minute walk). Some points to note are that: 1. No TV, fridge or electric kettle in the room. There was a common kitchen with a common fridge and a water dispenser on the 1st floor though. 2. No elevator, but staff was happy to help with carrying heavy luggage. 3. Walls were thin as with many other hostels. They had a noise down policy from 11 pm to 7 am and most people were observing the rule. During my last night there, some Chinese people came back at 1 am and kept talking, laughing and loudly packing their luggage. I understand that the behavior of other guests was not within the hostel's control and guests should be self-disciplined, and there was nothing I could do (I knocked on the wall to let them know but they simply knocked back...) and had to endure their noise until 4 am. 4. Shower gel, shampoo and conditioner were provided, but toothbrush and toothpaste were not. My stay was in general pleasant and enjoyable because of the cleanliness, convenient location and friendly staff. I will definitely stay here again.

I had an excellent stay at the Ibis Ambassador Dongdaemun. The location is great, about ten minutes on foot to three subway stations (Dongdaemun History & Culture Park, Euljiro 4-ga and Jongno 5-ga which gives you a total of five different subway lines). Dongdaemun area has loads of cheap restaurants and streetfood stalls and a Tourist Information stand. And if you are in Seoul for a trade show or anything in or near COEX exhibition centre, subway line 2 goes straight from Euljjiro 5-go Samcheong/WTC station (which is good because transfer stations in the Seoul subway network can be exhausting!). The hotel is new so everything is still nice and clean (I particularly appreciated this because my last three hotels in Seoul were anything but!). The hotel also has rooftop terrace and spectacular city views from the top floors (it's a free-standing building). I also liked that it is directly on a main street (i.e. easy to find for taxi drivers - many Seoul hotels in a similar price category are hidden in one-way alleys and back streets and can be a nightmare to locate from a car. Speaking from experience here!), there was a surprising amount of storage space for such a small hotel room, sufficient clothes hangers, large bathroom with two different shower heads (rainfall and "normal" shower head), really comfortable bed (love the pillows) and there is a selection of wall sockets: 3-pin (UK), round 2-pin (Europe) and two USB ports! Also very friendly and helpful reception staff. The only thing that wasn't 100% perfect was the sometimes slow wifi connection (although that might have had something to do with the fact that my room was on the top floor) and I would have wished for one or two coat hooks on the wall near the door. Other than that it was a great hotel experience and I will definitely stay at Ibis Dongdaemun again the next time I'm in Seoul.
