Wonderful Location in Asakusa. Near Sensoji Temple”

The owner Ms. Asako was very accomodating. Her place was wonderful and clean. Pros: She was kind enough to allow us to leave our luggage before check in and after check out. Many restaurants and shops nearby as it is located near Sensoji Temple and Tokyo SkyTree. Nearest train station Asakusa: With direct access to Narita Airport Perfect for budget travellers for its cheap price. Cons: There was no Signage "DORMICAFE K GUESTHOUSE" outside the apartment so may find it hard to locate the right place so ask Ms. Asako or google the place in advance. Good Deal!!! I'd loved to book this place again.

More appropriate for short term stay”

My friends and I stayed in the 6-guest bedroom for 1 night. Location: Great location, 2 minutes from Asakusa station on Tsukuba Express Line that is accessible from Akihabara station. One of the staffs contacted us to send an instruction about how to self-check in and a photo of the exact location a few days prior to our arrival at the accommodation, as the location of the accommodation is different to the one listed here. The staff was also very helpful and replied to emails quite promptly. Accommodation: It was okay. We had to climbed up the stairs up to the 5th floor with our big luggages as our room was on that floor. Highly recommended to travel lightly if you wanna stay here. There were only 2/3 bathrooms, but 1 toilet for each floor to be shared among all the residents. It was manageable for us as we arrived quite late at night and we left in the morning. There was a small towel, a blanket and a pillow provided.

I stay here for 1 night before traveling to Fuji Mountain. I read many bad feedbacks about this hotel, but when checking in, I wonder why this guesthouse received such feedbacks. Staff is really nice (a young French teenage), room is clean and enough for us. Besides, it is located in the center of Asakusa, very good choice. Recommend for other visitors!

No-Frills Place to Stay in Tokyo.”

Strictly speaking, it's a place to stay and leave your luggage in while in Tokyo. Not a 5-star hotel, but if travelling on a budget, is a good choice. Stairs going up are narrow. Could be hard if you have heavy luggage. The contact person, Asako, will give you clear instructions on how to get in. Considering their price, don't expect any freebies. No breakfast; no soap/shampoo; they provide a face towel for you to wipe yourself with after your shower. Shower was ok, there was a heater. We got a "room" with 2 bunk beds. You have to place the bed sheets and pillowcases yourselves. Comforter was ok, soft and kept us warm. Not too much space to move around in if you have 2 big luggages. Location is great because it's near a lot of establishments and near the Tsukuba Express line, which you can take to Akihabara station to transfer to the JR Line and get around. It's also near the Shensoji Temple and the Nakamise Shopping Street. I will still consider Dormicafe K for future travels.

after my booking, I was then sent another address which is different from that stated in agoda. it was opposite seiyu in asakusa. I had a hard time finding the place because my map did not show the area number etc. So for people heading there, search for seiyu instead. Not too far from asakusa station. but narrow stairway and quite crowded. rooms are partitioned meaning there is a gap on top and not walls so you can hear people's conversation and be woken up whenever someone checks in, flushes the toilet etc. bedsheet has to be laid ourselves.

If your on a budget or a backpacker, I recommend this place. We stayed on Dormicafe K2, which is hard to find if you don’t have access in the internet. There’s no one to ask when we arrived. Everything is emailed to us before we arrive. The place is clean, near subway. Nice bed, clean toilet & shower, but lacks other facilities like free water or hot water if you want to drink. The doors have no lock. Overall i still recommend this place if only want a place to sleep and you’re in a tight budget.

Walking distance to asakusa Sensoji, near convenient store 5 to 10min to Ginza line/Asakusa line If you are budgeted, you can choose this but you can look more better than this. Cons Not Good for Family specially with children ., small house, small room and the stairs not advisable for big luggages The bed is not good, no door in our room No heater for brushing or washing hands 1 common comfort room/1 shower for 8 persons(same boy/girl) If you are a hotel like person this in not for you. location wise, this is smack in the middle of the town with access to trains and busses. however, thats just it. i have to climb 5 floors to my room, and this is after my trip to mount fuji. hence the leg pain was unbearable. the place is crowded with beds stacked double deck to accommodate guests and for a 5 floor compact place, only ONE shower room, and TWO toilets, for all to use. The Dryer is completely useless. and Tenant charge extra for the use of the iron. There's no hook/ place to hang towels and clothes in the room either. No dustbin also, only one at the common area for all. For a group or family traveling, this place will not suit you. But if you are a single traveler, and just looking for place to sleep for the night, this may be your cheapest option, although i am not sure you can have a comfortable sleep with the open style whereby you can hear other occupants snoring sounds and all. Definitely NOT for couples to display PDA, for all will see (and hear!)

Place is clean. However I would not recommend this for familybwith young children. The noise can be heard on other rooms as the wall are not from the ceiling to the floor. There is an open space on the walls. Also the 10pm deadline to check in is very strict for us since sometes, you want to party more late at night in Akihabara. But the deadline is because of the main doors are locked. By the way, the 3rd floor is a dormitory for bedspacers. That's why be quiet when going to the 4th floor as others might be sleeping already. . Also there is no elevator so if you have big luggage you will have a hard time to put it on the 4th floor. I can say that this place is only for backpackers who just need a place to sleep.

As mentioned in other reviews, not actual address. Beds were a little dirty in addition to the entire space. One thing I will give credit for is that the bed and bedding were very comfy.

No wifi, no security, dont come”

While in a great area, this place was not as advertised. The pictures are of somewhere else, the wifi has no internet because nobody plugged it into the ethernet. The door that is supposed to be locked never is, the staff member who is supposed to be there also never is (my friends and I thought she might be an escort too). Some people's money has gone missing, and there is no safe place to store valuables. While against the rules, someone was also smoking in the rooms (since no staff there means that no consequences), I had to buy a mask so I could breathe clean air when I slept. Im also pretty sure there were bed bugs. Was also almost impossible to get in touch with the host, whom had decided to give away some of the beds a friend of mine had paid for. Definitely not even worth the little we paid for it.

I stayed at this hotel for two days. My wife and I were terribly bitten by bed bugs or some insects.

                    Misleading and disgusting”

The yellow building is not really where you'll be staying. They'll leave a map for you to locate the actual accomodation. The actual accommodation is old, dirty and unsafe. Rooms have no locks, bathrooms are disgusting, toilets are super dirty, bed sheets smells bad, the "towels" provided are just face towels. Rooms for group bookings aren't even private. There are also for single booking that is just in front of the main door (which doesn't have a lock) It's right in front of asakusa rox a very old and dirty building.

Since the kids are young, it is not really a good choice to stay here. Anyway, it's close to the metro.

                    Not worth it”

The address of the hotel is not accurate. The owner will send you an email instructing you to go to a different and confusing location. The room number will also change once you reached the dorm. There's a day that the toilet didn't work. There's only 2 bathrooms to be shared by 3 floors. The towel is a joke. The whole facility is soon dirty. The owner seldom comes to the facility. We stayed there for 3 nights. No room lock or keys.

I usually don't write rewires, but for this hostel I have to. This was one of the worst hostel Ive ever stayed in. Absolutely not worst money. I couldn't sleep all night because of the noise. Also I guess sheets and blankets was not cleaned for a month. Hostel is 10 min from reception. Good location though. But anyways next time I would prefer further from centre but in more valuable accommodation.
