Best hostel in 9 months of travelling!”
Best free breakfast of any hostel free roti & Dahl & drink, the Indian food here super reasonable and super great recommended to me by locals! Best showers of any hostel I've stayed in, all rooms aircon, superrr easy to meet people, great security, clean, amazing location I've lost track of how many times I've come back here now! Super friendly staff & volunteers & great communal areas definitely recommend :)
WORTH EVERY PENNY”
Who else can give you an accomodation included breakfast at very cheap price? The location is superb, friendly people especially the staffs, cute billy, clean bathroom with toilet attached and lots of food option surround. Sorry for keep extending my stay last minute and help arrange me to stay at the same room. I really appreciate it! Lots love
Well Run and Friendly”
You know a place is good when guests return or extend their stay. I did both and was pleasantly surprised to meet and greet fellow travelers from my previous visit. Free breakfast at the adjacent restaurant is a nice perk. Close to food markets, shopping and transportation. Alex and Zen run a tight ship and keep things running smoothly and a nice chill environment.
Acceptable for Such Rate”
This was my 4th time staying in Dorms KL. The significant change was that now we had to bring our shoes into our rooms, to avoid theft. I was ok with that. My room was surprisingly quiet, although the walls were really thin. I wish it has proper drinking water for the guests as well as door hangers. This was the first time I found the toilet not flushed properly.
Great Place to Stay”
Clean, secure, well-run place to stay. Fun, too. Free breakfast with coffee at the adjoining restaurant is a bonus. Although I read this was a party hostel after I arrived, I think it's just a friendly place that knows how to show guests a good time. A bargain, especially considering breakfast, free towel and beer at a good price. I'll be back.
Amazing location. 10 minutes walk to Bukit Bintang, 10 minutes walk to Imbi monoral station, 3 minutes walk to famous Jl.Alor, 20 minutes walk to Puduraya bus station. The place is clean, wifi is great, the staff are so friendly, I was in love with Leo the cat and Billy - the owner's daughter. Met lots of nice people there. Nasi Kandar restaurant in front of the hostel is 24 hours and also serve amazing food. The bed is so comfortable, I slept nicely through the whole 2 nights. The only cons was for my experience in particular maybe, because I was staying in 6 bed dorm where there was a couple who keep on doing PDA in front of me, and at night this couple switched off the AC, so I feel suffocated and can't sleep and decided to move to single room immediately (with extra paying,o f course) But the girls in receptionist really helpful in responding my request and once I had my single room, I was content and happy, no complaint at all Definitely will come back again if I visit KL
Overall good experience ”
This dorm is in a really good location next to the food street. Staff were very helpful. Sometimes it can get a bit noisy at night but I met some really nice people! The Indian (free) breakfast was greatttttt
A real dorm”
The building’s entrance is passed through and Indian restaurant, where there is the free breakfast. The owners are an English (I think) couple. Really helpful and available. The place is fool of rooms so you won’t have problems finding someone to spend time or travel with. I like the shoes-forbidden policy.
Great location, helpful and friendly staff (only con: squeaking doors of the rooms could easily be helped by using a bit of lubricant!!). Free breakfast and other food served at the attached Indian place was delicious but the staff there is more than unfriendly! Can't say hello, always gloomy and just not what you expect of the otherwise positive Malaysian people (except for the only woman working there).
The location was good, right next to lots of street food and many malls near by. Only a short walk from the bus station you can get to from the airport. The staff were nice but sometimes seemed more occupied watching TV than manning the desk so felt awkward asking them anything. The room itself was small and literally fit a double bed and a your bags but the bed was comfy and the Aircon worked so wasn't too bothered. It can get pretty noisy in the evenings but that was to be expected when there's a bar in the hostel. Breakfast in the connecting restaurant was good, especially enjoyed the roti. Overall was a affordable place to stay and covered all basic needs.
The breakfast- 2 pieces of roti canai and kopi o and they were good. (We got to choose either toast or roti canai) I stayed in a single room - no windows, only a small vent above. It is actually a bunk bed, but I got the entire room to myself. There is an aircond in the room. Toilets are clean. The staffs are friendly. Good location: Jalan Alor for food, Pavilion, Lot 10, Fahrenheit 88 for shopping. 5 minutes walk to Jalan Alor for all the touristy food. 5 - 10 minutes walk from/to Bukit Bintang MRT. 10 - 15 minutes walk to Pavilion. Would recommend using the MRT to get to Bukit Bintang rather than monorail. By cash, KL Sentral Monorail to Bukit Bintang monorail: RM2.50 By cash, Muzium Negara MRT (connected to KL Sentral, a little bit of walking distance, but fine for me) to Bukit Bintang MRT: RM1.80 Overall, this place is good value for money.
Amazing hostel, always nice people around!”
This was the first hostel I ever stayed in Asia, and it gave me the best start of my travels. The terrace gives the best opportunities to meet new people, and every other guest I met here was looking for nice talks. Also the lobby downstairs is nice to meet people or to just chill. The beds don’t have curtains, rooms do have AC. Bathrooms can be a bit dirty sometimes and showers are within the toilets so it is wet often, but it was not too bad to bother me that much. Outside the rooms and in the bathrooms it can be quite warm though. The staff is amazing and I felt home quickly, most of them know a lot about the city and things to do or not to do and are willing to help. The Indian resto in front is amazing, so definitely don’t skip that besides the breakfast you can enjoy there from the hostel. The barstreet is 5 mins walk. I came back here a few times and would definitely come back again!
Comfortable place at great location”
Pros: great location, attached restaurant, reasonably clean, comfortable, provides towels and toiletries, daily housekeeping, social place, awesome staff, good breakfast. Totally recommended. Cons: None really.
Bed and toilets are clean. Free breakfast provided. For breakfast I chose roti canai and kopi o. There were two pieces of roti canai and dhal - delicious. Staffs Gary and another lady from Germany were very helpful and friendly.
Exceeded my expectations”
Great location was in walking distance from the bus station and attached to an Indian restaurant. Such a social hostel met so many people here and the staff make an effort to get to know you personally. Exceeded my expectations
KEEP EXTENDING MY STAY”
Thank you guys for everything! I love the water pressure & temperature in the shower. It feels like they massage my head. Love it!
Stay here countless of time when I have conference, weekend meeting & cycling event. I don’t need expensive accomodation, because this property’s bed is so comfortable
It was really a good experience. I met new friends and the staff was really nice.
Easy access to MRT/LRT station. The rate is cheaper if you will book it to them directly.
Big Dissapointed. Owner couple of liars. If I extend the reservation, they will contact them all for”
Big Dissapointed. Owner couple of liars. If I extend the reservation, they will contact them all for no reason and cancel out on their own. They say they will not give me a refund. They always say they are busy but not busy, they say they are busy.strange staffs.unbelievable too much. Chinese customers of animal abuse were kicking cats with dirty bare feet and rubbing dirt on their feet. No one cares.
Madam, I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your stay. We attempted to explain to you that long term bookings are not allowed at our hostel. We are a short stay backpacker's hostel. That is why we had to cancel the two other bookings you made. You were not required to leave before your current booking ended, but you chose to anyway. Though it is against our policy, we refunded you for two nights anyway. I believe the comments about people kicking cats were aimed at people in the restaurant, and unfortunately, we have no control over that. Still, if it had been reported to us, we would have notified their staff. At no point did we lie to you. I'm sorry if you didn't understand our attempts to communicate with you and ignored our staff who tried to speak your language. We want everyone to feel welcome and I'm sorry you never understood our short stay policy..
