Nice hotel for Obihiro downtown”
I found nothing to criticize about the Dormy Inn Obihiro hotel. I thought the room was very nice and clean, and when I requested it I got a sheet for sleeping in the warm room without using the provided comforter, which I found to be too warm. The front staff were very polite and efficient. I enjoyed the free coffee in the lobby a few times, and also the lacto drink, Bikkle I think, by the hot spring in the morning. The hot spring baths were very nice, and with ample time to enjoy them, never very crowded as people go at different times. The location is right next to the main eatery and bar section of town and not a long walk from the station. 700 yen a day for parking wasn't too bad, so coming by car isn't a drawback. I recommend Dormy Inn for a stay in Obihiro.

We are a family of four. Normally in Japan, hotels charge the fee for each children even we share a same bed. Or if they are nice, they allow one child(normally below 6 yrs old) are free tof charge o stay in the same room with no charge. My children are relatively small even they are over

This hotel is located near the shopping belt and a large department store in Fujimara Building. The room is clean and has a modern look. Around 930pm, they serve out free ramen! Mu only quip is that you may have to park at a nearby carpark which costs about 600 Yen overnight.

Everything was good except for staff”
We have lived at multiple Dormy Inns but the one in Obihiro left a bad impression due to the staff. It's a very clean hotel, they provide evening meal for you, and there's an onsen. However, we have noticed they are reluctant to help Chinese tourists. Most obivious was when we stayed at the JR Inn Obihiro, the JR Inn front desk was willing to help us make restaurant reservation. But at the Dormy Inn, front desk would give you an attitude / note they cannot help. Just something to keep in mind.

Wonderful onsen with natural setting”
It was a good start to our trip in Hokkaido, as Obihiro was our first place we visited. The Tokachi area had several interesting places to visit. At Dormy Inn Obihiro, the friendly staff provided us with information about where to find good food, and directions to the shopping area. The Inn had free ramen for supper which was a nice end to the day. The rooms were clean and comfortable.

Great hospitality and best location”
This is our third visit to Hokkaido and our second time staying in Obihiro. Dormy Inn is a great choice and we are glad that we stayed for 4 nights there and used it as a base to explore Eastern Hokkaido. It is right in the middle of all the restaurants and shopping streets, with convenient stores all within 2 mins walk. Parking was included in the rate. For the first night, we parked at a lot across the street at the back of the hotel because we arrived after midnight but for the rest of the nights, they reserved a space for us and we parked right in the hotel lot. The four of us stayed in a twin room. It was not particularly roomy but very clean and had everything we needed. The air conditioner was a saver as it was over 32C outside. The shower area was a bit small but adequate. The fridge was also super efficient as we could even store our ice cream there. Although I never got a chance to use the bath, the area was nicely equipped and the baths looked attractive. We did not try breakfast and the evening free noodles as we were out all day. However, the staff were all very friendly, helpful and efficient. Though most of them do not speak English, they do understand simple English and we had no problem communicating. I would certainly use Dormy Inn again.

Above my expectations”
When we booked this hotel, it was one of the cheapest, so we didn't have any expectation. However, this hotel is one of the most satisfied hotel during my stay in Japan. Very luckily, the hotel provided free Ramen for 2 hours from 9-11. The hot spring is clean and tidy. Room size is adequate. Really well over my expectation on the price. Highly recommended.

The hotel room was relatively small but at a great location, and the best thing of this hotel is the attention to details. The hot spring there was great, and the food was great too. Both the breakfast and free ramen were yummy.

Excellent”
Room was comfortable and larger than some I have stayed at. (generally they are very small in Japan) The onsen was nice, two indoor pools, one with decorated windows so it was almost like being outside. The breakfast was not cheap, but well worth the price. A larger variety of food, mostly Asian, some western (eggs, sausage, croissants) salads and fruits. Central part of town with numerous shopping and eating places nearby.

It's a nice hotel. Located centrally, clean and do enjoyed the onsen and free ramen. As expected, double room's bed can be a bit cramped for 2 big adults :-) . Not sure whether it's our phones or too many occupants, the WIFI signals was not stable during our stay.
