The hotel staff receives a lot of praise, described as friendly, welcoming and exceptional. Many guests also appreciate the convenience of the location, being a minute's walk from Tower Hill underground station. I was very disappointed with my stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Tower of London. The customer service did not meet the standards I was expecting. When I went down to the lobby to ask for bedroom slippers, I was told they were complimentary and given two pairs. I then politely asked for another two pairs for my aunt and uncle who were staying in another room. They are senior citizens, very tired, and resting, so I thought it would be considerate to bring the slippers up for them. To my surprise, the concierge refused, saying he could not give me more because they were for “other guests.” I reminded him that my aunt and uncle were also guests, but he continued to refuse and even added that slippers were only complimentary if we had booked an executive room. This felt degrading and unnecessarily dismissive—I was only trying to make things easier for elderly family members who shouldn’t have to come down themselves. On top of that, there were false fire alarms in the middle of the night. This caused unnecessary panic among guests and severely disrupted our rest, especially after a long day of sightseeing. Overall, the experience left me feeling frustrated and unwelcome. For a Hilton property, I expected much better hospitality and service. I would not recommend this hotel to others looking for a comfortable and stress-free stay in London.
Easy access from metro tower station. Room is big and comfortable. But I think majority room got no view from balcony which I personally dislike. Water heater like unstable. Sometimes cold, sometimes hot. Not much eatery nearby as well. The rest I would say perfect.
The spacious room, consistent hot water, courteous and helpful staff, fantastic location and closeness to an underground station made our visit and sightseeing memorable. Overall I would highly recommend the hotel for anyone visiting the city.
I was pleased with my stay at double tree..staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was comfortable and a good size. Good points: helpful staff, good breakfast, lovely rooftop bar, nice foyer lounge. Lounge voucher in exchange for no housekeeping Areas to improve: need tea and kettle in the room, there is not the usual omelette and egg station at breakfast ..though I was able to get one by special request.. the breakfast host was very helpful with this ..

“Perfect location for family with baby”
The hotel is just 3 minutes from Tower Hill station and bus station that goes to city center. Tower Hill station has elevator and slopes, so it was easy for us to travel with stroller. Although I recommend using bus for more convenient. Hotel is clean, and staffs also very useful and friendly. Just that you need to ask for amenities like dental kit, etc. I guess it is the same on all hotels in UK.
