Highly recommended”
There were 4 of us and they gave us 4 individual beds! We were so happy we all got good night rest. The buffet breakfast was very good and we enjoyed the many choices. The staff was very helpful and courteous. Location-wise, it's a bit far from the beaches but luckily we got to rent a car. It is walking distance to the Shuri castle but it's a steep climb. The pool area was very nice; with very clean showers. The only negative thing we can write about is the dryer in the laundry room. It could not dry at all. I hope they fix that small issue.

Good hotel with bad location ”
With the brand of Double Tree, the room and hotel facilities are within our expectation. Hotel staff are really nice to help us book for tour and help translating for us. However, the location is not convenient at all. Though they arrange shuttle bus to downtown, they work at evening only. If you are thinking to leave hotel early, you better grab taxi from hotel.

Good”
This hotel is a great location IF your goal is to focus on Shuri Castle and all the very historical sights, which are awesomely close…however it is not convenient if you are needing a convenient store. If you wanna get away from the hustle and bustle this may be for you… it’s a older location… and the room we were in showed it… The bed was decent… The bathroom was not… sink had a crack in it and the lever for the toilet had a layer of green crust on it…the tv had very limited options… what bothered me the most was the AC… initially we kept cranking up the AC to cool ourselves down because of the summer heat… it turns out regardless of how much we played with it, it seemed to have no effect on the air coming out…. Ultimately we had no control over the temperature control in our room…. If you have a high body temperature this may not be the hotel for you… we tried to make the best of the room, but the saving grace of this hotel is the outdoor pool!! It’s old… however the amenities of a warm shower and the number of options to rinse off was great… since it’s the summer it was mostly families with children… and it’s open until 8 PM…. I wish I knew about the poolside barbecue available afterwards… you need to make reservations I think before 4pm to be able to participate… if you do the pool I highly recommend you try to do the barbecue, esp. at night… it’s very peaceful and beautiful… I was a little bit disappointed that the front desk didn’t bring these things to our attention beforehand… of course the warm cookie was great… there was one other family in front of us but it took us over 20 minutes to get our tickets even though they had about 4-5 staff members behind the long counter… it looks like you were being ignored however it’s a little tricky… they all wear the same uniform but each person plays a different role… so even though there’s a number of people technically there was only one person doing check-ins… it’s an old building with a lot of potential…

Nice vacation”
We stayed for 3 nights to get scuba diving license in Okinawa. The hotel was really close by Shuri Castle. It is so easy to access the center of Naha. It was so reasonable and the room was so confortable. It has a convenience store within the hotel, so you can get anything that you want anytime. It was the great vacation ever.

Pool was closed :(”
My family and I visited here at the end of March. The hotel was very nice, as expected for this hotel chain. Our room was big and clean, but there was evidence of a past flood or leaks, however I didn't smell any mold. The room had an air purifier, so that was nice. The hotel is located very close to a World Heritage site, Shurijo castle and about 20 minutes drive from the airport. It was a satisfactory experience. My biggest disappointment was that the pool was closed :( I should have expected this because in Japan, there is a definite swimming season, and Okinawa's seems to be April - October. The family mart located in the lobby of the hotel was great and did not mark up prices, a nice bonus :) We only ate at Serena, but the food was delicious and they served many local specialities. The hotel offers a shuttle in the evening to Kokusaidoori, which is a 1.5 km strip of souvenir shops and restaurants. We took the shuttle (100 yen each way) and it was very convenient. The staff were very nice, polite and they helped with baggage when entering and leaving the hotel. Their service made it feel like a more luxury experience. We rented a car and it was easy to park at the hotel. However, be warned that there is a 900 yen/day charge for parking.

Aged hotel not locating in downtown”
First of all, we made a wrong reservation with this Double Tree, which is located closed to Shuri Castle. There are two Double Tree hotels locate in Naha, one of them is locating in Asahibashi and this one is locating in Shuri Castle. This hotel is too far from anywhere unless you want to visit Shuri Castle. The hotel facility itself is aged especially the toilet. It's unacceptable when we first seen the toilet with lots of scratch and the front desk staffs told us its a 45 years old hotel. Beside of the toilet, the room renovated well and modern but interestingly the floor mat wasn't covered the entire floor in the room. This hotel provides a paid shuttle bus starting from 5pm to Makishi but my question would be why its paid? Don't you think your hotel is far away enough and not convenience? Also, the bus schedule is not flexible at all! Its started at 5pm so that means we would have to take the cab by our own before 5pm?!

Good choice of hotel”
I spent 4 nights there. I must say that the hotel is pretty great! I stayed in a family room, so I had a really gigantic space for my Luggages and four beds. The wifi strength is pretty decent, except it may suddenly disappear (seldom Case). The hotel is located on a hill, and so the best mode of transport isn't the public transport, but taxis or cars or tour buses. The hotel is close to Shuri-Jo so walking there was good. However, it's not too close to uptown shopping districts and stuff, so I recommend taking s taxi if you want to get there. The service there is really really great. Staffs are approachable, friendly, goes the extra mile for you, and are all in all, helpful. The place is clean, I like the hotel amenities, and I overall, rate this hotel a 4/5, minus one for some of the location and the odd smell along the hallway( like something old).

Great view from the top”
Best way from the airport to get there was by taxi. There is a bus stop nearby but only if one want to take some not underestimatable downhill road. The hotel offered some nice tours with pickup at the hotel by bus for a good price. The breakfast was very versatile and cheap with the agoda rate. Their local rate was a bit high. The location was nice to visit the castle but quite far from downtown (it took roughly 40 minutes walking downhill to the Kokusai-dori). From the nearby bus stop one can easily reach the Kokusai-dori for Yen.

Fabulous views of the ocean”
the room was very small yet adequate. there was an internet hook-up, free but slow. the hotel had an electric pot to boil water for tea or coffee. the bed was comfortable. i think it must be a good hotel for families. there is a good swimming pool and the location is advantageous to visit the castle.

Had a compact room”
Another area in Naha, a little bit outside the town area on top of the hill. And you need a car to travel around the area. Very good night view from the top of the hill. Especially the sky bar! Car park for a fee and WI-FI a fee too.

Bad location but nice hotel”
The hotel belong to JAL group is situated close to Shuri castle, which make it quite off the way, ,you have to walk up a pretty steep slope to the main road and walk for another 15-20 mins to the nearest monorail station or bus station.so we take taxi to everywhere.the hotel is typical Nikko hotel the room size are larger than most other japan hotel, and they serve a great morning breakfast ,I pay only US$80 for my room including b/fast

Feels like 4 stars ”
The decor inside the room were newly furnished however at the lobby it looks old. We checked out at 530am for departure and called the front desk for luggage assistance but was told to wheeled down ourself they don’t have enough ground staffs around. Service was good. Family room was huge and bathtub was big too. Feels like 4 stars. Distance of hotel to kokusai dori street is about 30 mins ride away. Bus shuttle provided by hotel for 100 yen.

old japanese styly hotel”
This hotel seemingly built more than 25 years before and therefore it follows quite old fashioned Japanese hotel. Room size is unexpectedly small and sound proof is not so bad however, not good. Breakfast dishes are appreciated even for Vege and Moslim, quite accepted to many people. Restaurant is clean and room is narrow however well maintained. Close to Old capital area of Okinawa and good hill walk we can enjoy in the morning.

Great Hotel”
we chose this hotel because it had swimming pool. but when we went there, they said the pools are not available for use. other than that, everything else was ok. the breakfast buffet was great. the room and amenities were good also. the staff was courteous and helpful. we were using rental car, and found out there is a parking fee for the car, yen a day.

Great value”
the buffet was well worth the cost. the chef accommodated my vegan diet. because the hotel is a little distance from downtown, the game room, different restaurants, convenience store and view from our 19th floor room allowed us to stay in the hotel the night before our departure to the usa complete.
