Decent accommodation for the price/location”
Had a one night stay with family to visit the Winter Wonderland at Hyde Park.A few teething problems - the hotel is not well signposted so our SatNav was misleading. We phoned the concierge who wasn’t particularly helpful but we eventually found it. Note that although the car park is onsite, there is an additional charge for guests (our search for a hotel with Car Park on Agoda implied this might be included in the booking). Room was not that sizeable but was adequate for us to fit our son’s travel cot and was pleasant enough. Location is directly opposite Hyde Park and close to Kensington Palace Gardens, also a short walk to Queensway tube so would be recommended for a tourist wanting to see sights of London.
A Two Days Stay”
The room is small and the bath & shower inside the bathroom are combined. I felt disgusting and I really do not like it. However, the breakfast is excellent. It has variety choices and very delicious. It only cost a 12pounds.
Noisy+rude housekeeping staff”
Night 1,we slept okay despite the pillows being too soft & construction work nearby started at 8 am. However, the second night was absolutely terrible. A group of Chinese men checked in & were noisy all night followed by construction work at 8 am and also noisy, loud talkative housekeeping staff which started work at the same time. One of the housekeeping staff knocked on our door and asked if we were checking out on that day to which my bestie had to wake up & talked to the staff BEFORE 9 AM. They cant assume everyone is awake & out of the room early.By 9 am, I decided to open the door and spoke to one of the housekeeping staff telling that I aware that they have job to do but if they could minimise the noise by not dragging the vacuum around the hallway and shut the door slowly to which the staff said ok with her smirk face. She was so rude. Sara the receptionist was sympathetic &refunded us 2 bfast fee which was kind enough but it's not the point. DT,please take action.
Hotel okay but staff steal and management don’t take action”
The hotel is ok - very average london hotel where king size rooms are smaller than any normal room anywhere else as you would expect in London. However, I had a valuable item stolen from my hotel room by the Housekeeping staff. The safe was so well hidden in the room that I could not find it - so I hid my valuables deep in a rucksack. A watch was stolen while we were out though.. The hotel management were useless throughout the process despite identifying though only two staff could have taken it and kept saying they were powerless. They also initially told me not to call the police until they do their own internal investigation (wrong) and didn’t hold the staff while they did so. In the end the Manager told me there is no proof anything was even stolen - it’s just my word against the staff - which basically means they are saying I may be lying because ‘celebrities stay here and don’t complain’. Disgusting attitude, incompetent management, thieving staff.
Great staff at fantastic location”
Our flight landed early and we were given a room at Ground floor Room 050. The next day we were moved to a higher floor at Level 4. The room was strangely positioned. From the door at the hallway the bed could be seen directly ahead rather than away from direct view so that occupants do not face the door while sleeping. Wifi was super annoying as well. Had great difficulty getting connected as some sort of security warning came popping up. Nevertheless the staff were very helpful in rectifying this issue. Breakfast spread was good although as expected it is the same daily. I would recommend some sort of a menu rotation for the breakfast buffet. Great accesss to public transport, a variety of restaurants and shops. I will stay here again.
While this hotel has a very good location convenient to the subway, its the staff that make it special. Helpful and obliging and always with a smile. I will come back.
Close to Hyde Park and chinese restaurants in Queensway”
Nice and clean hotel - comfortable and good location
A great hotel with wonderful location”
Bus is 1 minute at corner and Metro is just a few minutes away. Easily goto hot spots of downtown London in short whiles. One of my mum's most favorite spots of London is just 5 minutes away too. And a morning jogging in Hyde Park will light up all the day!
When i check in , the staff give me delicious cookies and offer drinks for me in the hotel cafe, because the hotel staff cannot give me the room key on time. I think it's good for guest to take rest and no need to walk outside.
Overall a pleasant experience”
Booked it for 3 nights at a decent rate. Rooms are no doubt clean and comfortable, although some might find it not that spacious. No comment on the dining experience as I did not take the breakfast option, although the welcome cookie was great. Location was good as well since its only 5 minutes walk away from the nearest underground train station (Queensway). Overall a pleasant experience.
good rooms for London but poor staff”
I stayed for just one night on a business stop-over. I stayed in a single room which was actually bigger than I expected it to be, well-furnished to a good standard. The reception is tiny, appears to be manned by 3 staff at all time of which only 1 can actually do anything, the others ask if you want help and then tell you to wait in the queue you are already in. So if you can get over that and are looking for a comfortable base in this area this isn't a bad option.
Great sized room for London”
Close to everything and a Hilton. They know how to run a hotel. There is nothing surprising about it, everything is just well handled and efficiently and warmly done. Decided to look here after searching for hours and turning up dog boxes to stay in. A few more dollars spent and you have a proper hotel room in Hyde Park.
Nice and cozy room right in front of Hyde park”
The hotel is in the best location. It is right in front of Hyde park, so I could enjoy jogging in the park every morning. Underground station is in walking distance, and you can take buses headding for Oxford circus, Notting hill, or Picadilly right in front of the hotel. Breakfast was also great. All the staff working at the reception and restaurant were friendly as well. Considering the quality service, convenient location, and also cleaness of the facility and even reasonable price, I can say Double Tree is the best choice for visitors in London.
Room cleaning service is below election.”
The room size is small for Kings room. The hotel services were upseting. In the check out day they call me at 11: 55 am ,asking me to leave the room! The room cleaning service was bad and staff talking in the corridor loudly! This is not a Hilton level at all !
An ok hotel but not deserving of the Hilton name.”
Clean room but over priced for what was in it. Poor design as there was but one space for a suitcase which conflicted with cabinetry opposite. Good breakfast which was extra to the room price. Very helpful staff with special mention to Mr. Mokchin (spelling) for his daily assistance at breakfast. Overall, a 3 star hotel with 4 star pricing. Better book Hilton next door.
New Year in London, Doubletree came through”
After a bad experience at a small local Hotel the Doubletree was like heaven on earth. Although a bit on the pricey side, the Hotel was wonderful, the staff great, and the location couldn't be beat. Highly recommended.
A great value for money hotel close to the tube and direct access to main sights and the city. Would definitely consider staying again.
Great location, HOHO stop right outside hotel Room is spacious, Nespresso in room is a great idea Cookie on arrival even better Nice environment, nice stay
No free car park, Luagage early Check in need charge
