Good for the money”
The Chinese doorman is nice and could have been nicer.
Hit and miss ”
Housekeeping was excellent, front desk less so. The rooms felt like they needed a refresh, eg carpets, walls. Elevators very slow with long waits.
Helpful and courteous”
Price wise is a little expensive
Just opposite to coach station, very convenient for travellers
Small rooms but otherwise ok”
We had a double room for 4 people. So far, in our travels between 5 cities, this was the smallest hotel room we stayed at when compared to our previous bookings with similar accomodation type and comparable price range. I don't know if it was just our room but it was also pretty difficult to get a good water temperature from the faucet (inconsistent temperature despite same setting on faucet) and the showerhead had very strong water pressure that basically feels like it's battering your skin in the shower. Staff were very friendly especially at the breakfast area which is open until 11:30am! They have bagels, bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, oatmeal, cereal.. no drinks bar though. And no peanut butter available. Location-wise, there are plenty (asian) restaurants around the hotel and is a short 2 block walk towards the shopping area "dundas square". CN tower is visible within the vicinity so it is quite convenient. Subway not too far to walk to.
Very convenient place for sightseeing as well as business. Can reach smoothly on foot (City Hall, ”
Eaton shopping mall, OMA, China Town, etc.,), by street car (High Park, Queen's Park, Toronto Univ., Donvalley., etc.,) by subway (Airport via Kipling, Union station to GO train/bus to Niagara, VIA to East district, etc.,) so smoothly. In addition, long-distance bus terminal is within 2-3 minutes walk. Many kinds of restaurants and bars, fast food shops, supermarket are also located around the site. Since the hotel is not located along the main street, traffic noises during the nights were less than I imagined. Lastly, hotel rooms was very clean.
Good Stay, Caution Cleaning Staff”
Pros: Love the welcome cookie! Front staff were friendly and accommodating! Rooms were clean. Cons: Room services food was a bit over priced for the food you received. Cleaning staff go through your stuff. I took everything valuable with me so I had no problems but I'm very observant so I know what wasn't how I left it and they tried to get into my safe (and failed). I didn't report it because they got nothing but just a word of caution. Parking is also ridiculously priced but there is cheaper parking within walking distance. Overall: I enjoyed my stay and I would return!
Value for money”
Great location, a stone's throw from the Eaton Centre and lots of restaurants. Rooms are modern and comfortable with typical amenities. In-room air conditioning units are older and quite loud (we had to turn it off to sleep), however the hotel itself is located off the main road and fairly quiet. Staff were extremely helpful, especially with regards to parking. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for an easy, comfortable short stay in Downtown Toronto.
Nice and clean hotel ”
We didn't get assistance in getting a taxi to Spadina at 6 am and 8'C with our luggages. After being rejected by 2 drivers, good thing there was an angel driver who offered to bring us.
One of the best stay I had. There is also a welcome cookie!!
