While the location is a bit obscure, it was easy enough to get to Batu Ferringhi using grab, and very affordable. The little stretch of beach across the hotel was serene enough but wasn't for us. Easy walk through the bridge though. Service - this is where the Double Tree got it very right!! Our arrival was met by Ms Shalene at front desk, she alone held up the whole hotel, IMO!! She was friendly, efficient and sincere which really made our day, and stay. She presented us the warm cookies which, quite literally, saved me as my glucose level was dipping dangerously low quickly. I am super grateful! She upgraded us to a big room with seaview, gorgeous. All other staff wellness encountered were very friendly and warm. Room service and housekeeping, faultless. The room was large and comfy. The small table served well as a desk for work. In-room dining was also comfortable. The only negative for us were the food, in general. While breakfast was a big spread, most of the items were mediocre. The Indian counter and local kuay-kuay were nice enough, though. Overall, the food was a disappointment, except the Hilton Sandwich from room service. Overall, we had a great time at the hotel. It was nice to be in a quiet corner, away from the hustle and bustle of Batu Ferringhi. If I am looking for a quiet spot and great service for my next visit, I will definitely consider DoubleTree.

Good hotel with great facillities and top notch cleanliness. My friends and I really enjoyed the cozy room, swimming pool was clean and spacious, breakfast was good with wide range of selection. Overall it was a great stay. The only downside was the parking system that the hotel use which is olden style. After we pay the parking fee, we were given a parking ticket that's valid for a day. They do not have an automated barrier gate at the parking entrance, the guard have to manually press the button and the barrier will be lifted up. Then after check in, we went out for dinner. When we reach the hotel back, there was nobody at the guard house and we had to wait there for like a few minutes then only a guard came and press the button. It's quite inefficient for a 4 star hotel to have this kind of parking system. Pls fix. Otherwise everything else is great, thank you.
