Great service!”

My friends stayed here one night due to an event we were attending at The Queen, which was only a 5-minute walk from the hotel! Upon check-in, we were greeted with warm cookies, received a free room upgrade when I asked, and were given complimentary access to the executive lounge for the evening, where we were able to fill up on free food and wine before our event! We also grabbed some free chips and waters to take to our rooms. The room was comfortable and met expectations. We were given more cookies at check-out. A perfect stay!

Full of families”

Lots of kids running around during our stay. The pool was overrun so we avoided it. The rooms were nice but we did find that the comforter had a fresh looking coffee spot that it seems housekeeping just covered instead of washing it. The comforter was covered by a sheet on both sides. The parking garage is a little sketchy and had some construction going on inside. The staff was nice but they charged me twice and it was really difficult to get a hold of them after I had left to get it fixed.

Not what it used to be”

Just like the rest of downtown Wilmington, the hotel has become shabby and in desperate need of major updates. The carpeting is old, the furniture is scratched and worn. It’s a very drab atmosphere. Too bad because the staff is nice and it’s a great location if you’re going to the Grand Opera House!
