Very nice and stylish hotel in Downtown L.A., perfect location for exploring the city by car. Room was small but very clean and stylish. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was tasty but a little more variety would do no harm ;) we had to pay a 15$ Service Fee per day per room which included all kinds of services such as WiFi and Breakfast. All in all highly recommendable! P.S. they don't have a parking lot, but there is a huge one next to the hotel. They charge 50$ for a two day pass though but it includes a security team. There are more options (some probably cheaper) along the way to the hotel

Beautifully furnished boutique hotel, enjoyed my trip in Los Angeles staying here. For drivers it's quite convenient, we rented a car and parked at the carpark overnight just next to the hotel (you can choose to park yourself or use the hotel's valet service at a premium). Two things that could be improved: 1) The daily breakfast spread was mostly cold and does not have a good variety for the price (cold hard boiled eggs, some pastries, fruits, yoghurt and granola) - not used to it. 2) When we checked the availability of the house car (Tesla) and was told it would be a 10 min wait, we waited at the lobby. No one came to update us, and only after 30mins, I checked in with the same guy and he said oh it's still another 10 mins away without any apology. This was the only experience that marred an otherwise good experience with the hotel.

My friends and I wanted a hotel downtown as we didn't know how to drive. Being first-timers to LA, we were told it was very inconvenient if we didn't drive. So we were prepared for the inconveniences that came with travelling by public transport. However, the location of the Hilton Checkers couldn't have been better suited to our purpose! Two red line Metro stations were both less than 7 mins stroll away from the hotel (Pershing Square, 7th St/Metro Ctr). (The red line Metro serves Universal City where Universal Studios is. The red line also takes you to Hollywood Boulevard where you can see the Walk of Fame, the Kodak Theatre and all.) Just a mere 4 min stroll from the hotel doorstep is a public bus that takes you straight to the Citadel Outlets where we spent the entire day. Richard from Reception and Ruben the Doorman were 2 God-sent angels in the City of Angels. They answered our incessant queries with smiles and warmth, every single time. What they didn't know, they were more than willing to check online until they yielded the results needed. They definitely made our stay worthwhile. My 2 friends stayed in one room, and I, in another. We all agreed the room size were just right for 2 people. Not too small like some hotels that I've stayed at. Beds were comfortable, rooms were clean, bathroom with a bath-tub was the right size. Housekeeping staff were all very warm and helpful. Getting to and from LAX - It might be a good idea to get the hotel to arrange a car to send you to the airport. At LAX we took the Super Shuttle (a shuttle bus that plies the airports and hotels in the city) to the Hilton Checkers. It took about an hour for us to get to the hotel & costs USD$16 per person one way. Waiting time for the shuttle was about 15-20mins. The hotel car worked out to be more or less the same for a party of 3 and we could leave when we wanted and head directly to the airport. The travel time by the hotel car took roughly 25mins.

really amazing like this hotel spacious with a kitchen fully furnished and a sala with laundry area clean, and the ref has water dispenser you dont need to buy bottled water very convenient, its like your home at different place everything is provided, with 5mins walk to whole foods market, and ralphs, high recommend this hotel then 8 mins walk to subway and macy mall. what a convenient. its located in downtown LA and safer to walk 12mins walk to staple center

We had a very pleasant stay at the Sheraton Downtown Los Angeles. Best treat was the deal we got from Agoda for rooms located at the Lounge floor. We got access to the Club Lounge where we had breakfast everyday and snacks, too, when we get to the hotel early fromt he conference. And yes, the club lounge experience came with free wifi, so we nejoyed fast, reliable internet connection the whole time. We'll definitely recommend this hotel to peers during business conferences.

The hotel is off-putting at first glance. The location is right on the edge where "conference center downtown" turns into "slightly run-down...downtown". The rooms are comically old-fashioned (i.e. the door locks are completely manual -- you have to remember to relock the door after you pass through it). That said, for attending a conference at the Convention Center, it was perfect. The price was amazing, and the quality actually exceeded locations recommended by the Expo organizers. The staff I met were VERY friendly and helpful. The location was ideal -- I was able to walk to both the Expo and events, without difficulty. If you want to save money, and don't mind staying somewhere that, frankly, could use a bit of renovation, then I'd definitely recommend this location. I will try to stay there again, next time I'm in town for an event.

The suite was so great with large bedroom separated from the living room. The bed was huge and comfortable, the room was clean, but the highlight was the health club. The Los Angeles Athletic Club (LAAC) Hotel is attached to the athletic club thus you'll get everything here from gym, lap pool, sauna, steam room, plunge pool, relaxation area, etc. The hotel location is in downtown LA so it's suitable for business people, but it worked for us as couple travelers for vacation.

The people at the Knights Inn hotel are really great people. They treated me like family everyday I stayed there. Even the folks at the Park's Finest BBQ, restaurant, which is next door, treated me like a long time customer. The rooms are very spacious, clean, quiet, and have satellite TV with many channels. The hotel is about 10 - 15 minutes away from downtown LA. So, it's very close to many of the main attractions. The hotel is located in a working class neighborhood, where I found the people friendly and helpful. My flight was supposed to leave on 8AM on Sunday, but was delayed until 8PM Sunday night. The management allowed me to checkout at 5PM on Sunday without any additional charge. I would not hesitate to stay at this hotel again in the future.

This was my first visit to Los Angeles and The US as a whole. Therefore I didn't know what to expect at all when coming to this country. Many people had told me not to go to LA, they told me it was boring and scary. I had a great time in LA, my boyfriend and I got around the city very easily and never felt threatened once. You may hear that the Mayfair is in a dodgy area and to an extent it is but we never got bothered in any way. I wouldn't advise anyone to walk the streets of downtown alone though. For those that don't want to stray too far from the hotel, Bar Monty and The Sandwich Joint are both great little spots for food and drink. The rooms are quite small but they were pretty close to perfect for us. Our room was very clean, we had no problems with the dated aspect of the hotel. We had a great view of LA and on our last day, once all the smog cleared, we realised we could even see the Hollywood sign from our room! Our only problem was that the bath/shower was quite odd. I've never seen anything like it, it had two levels?? It was a little uncomfortable to bathe in but nothing extreme. There was also no refrigerator, this was a bit of a pain but the ice machines on every second level made up for that. Mayfair is cheap and in a pretty good location, if you don't mind the 5 minute walk into the financial district then I'd recommend it to anyone. Obviously if your looking for a Hilton type hotel, don't stay here, but if your easy going and just want to save money and be comfortable, I'd say go for it and enjoy your stay!

We were very impressed by our recent stay at Hotel Indigo in DTLA! We were looking for a modern hotel conveniently located to downtown LA & Hotel Indigo certainly fit the bill. I was impressed with the stylish foyer, prompt desk service, car valet service and finally our wonderful room. The decor of the hotel is unique and a super cool mix of modern style and old time Hollywood. I especially liked the old film/sketch reels by the elevators and the racks of hats in the lobby. Our room was fantastic on the 15th floor with view of Staples Centre and the lights of the city beyond. The beds were very comfortable which is not my style but then I am very fussy when it comes to beds. I like them firm rather than soft and comfortable. There is a great supermarket nearby and other stores within a short walking distance. For us, with a car, it was located so easy to get off and on those freeways. Truly great hotel in a great location. Would highly recommend it.

When I arrived to check in, I was pleasantly greeted. Check in was quick and easy. When I arrived to my room, the first thing I checked was the bed for bugs, etc. (not saying that the Pod Inn would have them, but now days you need to check before hand) I found no bugs of any kind anywhere. :) I found the room to be clean and ready for me to rest my head. For the few days/nights I was there, I returned from my daily outings to find my bed made, room cleaned up (not that I left it messy), etc. The room I stayed in was closer to the main street and at times it could get a bit noisy but generally only when the emergency vehicles drive by. There is a hospital across the street. But that occasional noise nothing against the motel itself. The general grounds were kept clean, nothing special as I would not expect it have been though. They do have a sand pit\play area for kids which is nice to have if you are traveling with children. The room itself is a pretty good size. The bed was soft but also springy. The pillows are a bit small, but I still slept on the bed very well. Quick and easy access to the 101 Freeway and does not take long to get downtown. The only suggestions I would have to offer is that management looks into the WiFi signal. It's a bit week in some area's and I also suggest that you change the WiFi security from WPA to WPA2 (if not done so already) WPA2 offers better security for everyone. All in all, I will definitely stay at the Pod Inn again the next time I travel to the L.A. Area.

Quiet area in neighbors of downtown LA which only 8-10min walking distance. It is an apartel which new and nice building with 5 stars facilities: gym, swimming pool,mini theater room,rooftop garden,jacuzzi,secure! The studio apartment itself is very clean,nice,spacious,complete utensile. Grocery store nearby will be opened soon. Downside: 1. Weak phone signal in the entire of building. 2. No intercom so must pick up guest at lobby door.
