Budget accommodation ”

We booked 3 private rooms with 4 beds each room for our family trip in the first week of June, 2018 and stayed for 6 nights. It is really worth it if you are travelling in group. Direct airport coach A8 if not mistaken reached Mongkok where it’s station is within 5 minutes walk to Dragon Hostel if you know the way. Mongkok mrt station is also within the same distance and you can go Disneyland and Ocean Park by using it. Room is clean. Free boil water is provided but not towel. Small size of room and toilet does not matter to us as it is still manageable. Eateries are plenty nearby as the hostel is right smack in the centre of Mongkok. No issue with the lift also as it have two sets (main and back entrance). Overall very satisfied stay.

Second time to stay at Dragon Hostel”

Stayed at Dragon Hostel before with my husband. It was a pleasant stay so we stayed here again with our 4-year-old daughter. The room is clean. They provide the basic necessities. You get can discounted tickets to Disneyland, Ocean Park, etc. It's near 7-11, McDonald's, Langham Place, and the Mong Kok MTR Station. The owner speaks English and is very helpful. We will stay there again the next time we go to Hong Kong.

Superb stay & value for money”

Great location, clean, friendly hostel staff

This is my second time i stay at this hostel. The hostel staffs are very friendly and helpful, i can say above the Hong Kong people friendliness standard. Besides that, the hostel is clean and comfortable. Other than that, its location is strategic, very near to Mongkok MTR station and there are many restaurants, cafes and shops nearby. I can say that it's in the shopping and eating haven. The only bad thing about it is the water heater. After two person had taken the shower, you need to wait quite long for the water to be heated up. Other than that, it's a great place to stay.

Excellent location. Great value for money.”

It was our first time to travel in Hong Kong. and was really impressed with this hostel. The place itself was basic with 2 single beds, an AC, hot/cold shower, free soap/shampoo. The staff is friendly and accommodating. They have free potable hot water at the lobby. Just 1 block away from the Mongkok MTR (Take Exit D2). Near 7Eleven, street food stalls, Money exchange shops, ladies market, sneakers street. Actually the area where the Sincere House is located is really bustling with people, shops, food stalls! I will definitely stay here again!

The location is very accessible and safe. Aircon is very good, water supply is good as well. Be careful with the heater, adjust it accordingly because it’s really hot. The staffs were nice and can speak English, very accommodating. They always clean the room. Hot water for noodles and coffee is also available. In getting there, it’s easier to take the train. Stop at Mongkok Station, look for D2 Exit and straight ahead, 2 streets you’ll see Sincere House (Silver signage, beside a store selling street food and across 711). Take the elevator, 7th floor. On the 7th floor, straight ahead turn right you’ll see Dragon Hostel. It’s like an office then they will escort you to your rooms.

affordable and comfortable”

fast internet; very accessible to public transport; and accommodating staff

First, we booked the hostel as they have a good review here on agoda and other forums. Good thing that they didn't disappoint us. It wasn't hard to locate the hostel. We took bus A21 from the airport and alighted at the 6th stop. You can also take the train and alight at mongkok mtr station and use exit d2. There will be a signage "sincere house." take the elevator on the right and go directly to 7/f. Expected check-in time was 2pm, but we arrived early. Stanley told us that we can leave our things in the hostel and walk around the city, or we can wait until the room is fully cleaned. In less that 10 minutes, our room was already prepared. So we rested for a few hours and headed to the city. The hostel has fast-internet speed. However, your room should be near the common room. The graveyard-shift guy was very helpful. He never forgets to put a smile every time we come back. You can also ask him on how you can tour the city. He gives free brochures/maps etc. You can buy sodas in the common room. And its cheaper compared to vending machines, even on 7/11. You can buy your theme park tickets, nong ping cable car, macau ferry tickets, at a discounted price. CONS: As expected, the room is small due to space scarce in HK. We booked a 5-bed room and it was really small for us but bareable. Try to book a 3-bedroom for 2 persons for it to be comfortable. The private toilet is very small too. Tip: You can use the common bathroom as it's bigger. And you don't really have to queue that long. You have to bring your own towels. Or, you can buy it from them at $20. Some shops in HK don't accept coins lower than .50c value. We tried to have our coins changed to notes in the hostel but they don't allow so. However, you can use those coins to buy something from 7/11. You have to request everyday to have your room cleaned. Sometimes, the room smells bad. I think its because of food aroma. But you can also have it sprayed if you find the smell annoying.

A family of five n Mongkok ”

We stumble onto Dragon Hostel by accident but was very very please with the location. You honestly cannot be in a more happening and lively place in Hong Kong. Mongkok is a great place for tourists when it comes to food, shopping and access to public transportation. It took us awhile to find the place at first because we got lost but we did find it... eventually. However, the room was also very clean and the bed sheets were changed after 2 nights. The Dragon Hostel was also one of the rare places that offered a room for 5 people for a reasonable price. Definitely recommended!

Excellent Value, Staff Great, Fantastic Location

Fantastic stay, really easy to find from Airport as they supply a good detailed map (so often guest house don't !). Although the hostel is very busy the staff are fantastic, nothing is ever too much to ask! (Although could do with a printer)! Room small but very clean and nice soft bed and tv and air con! The only fault was the lift is always occupied, but that hardly the fault of the hostel! Really great value place to stay in Hong kong! Many thanks to Stephen and the owner! Definitely stay here again!

great location, value for money and friendly staff

What I really love about Dragon Hostel is its location. It will only take 1-2mins walk to restaurants, shopping centers and train station. We got the room that is good for 5, the room is small but clean and considering the amount we paid for it and it's a good value for money. The staff are friendly and can speak good English too except for the girl on day shift. If I'll visit Hong Kong, I will definitely stay here again.

Clean hostel, great location and helpful staffs

My third stay in this hotel. Love the convenience of the location, it's only 3 mins walk to the Mongkok MTR. Room is small but 4 of us can sleep comfortably (each of us has a single bed to sleep). There's wifi in the room but the connection is pretty weak, but who cares, we got ourselves a local SIM card. :) Not to mention that the staffs are very helpful, all of them. It's really value for money! Very satisfied with my stay here. Good job Dragon Hostel!

Value for Money”

The single bedroom is very small but it's really fine with me since I was a solo traveler. The room has a small TV with Chinese local channels playing. It also has a small cabinet, aircon, a mirror, a comfortable bed with one pillow and blanket. The bathroom, on the other hand, is provided with a heater, soap, and shampoo. The hostel also allows guests to use their ref. They also provide drinking water for guests' convenience. All in all, Dragon Hostel is a convenient place to stay in Mong Kok as it is very near the MTR, Ladies' Market, and shopping malls. Thanks for the wonderful stay! Will book again.

The location was great, the manager/owner was very nice and helpful and the rooms were very clean

After staying at 3 other budget hotels in the same area, I was definitely expecting the small rooms with tiny bathroom and no luxury at all. What I wasn't expecting was the cleanliness and comfort. Also, the internet in Dragon Hostel was the best of any of the 4. Will definitely go back next time we're in Hong Kong.

Great value in the heart of the city”

Price, central location, convenience

This hostel was located in Mongkok, a busy shopping area with many restaurants and electronics shops. Starbucks, McDonalds, 7-11, and Cafe de Coral are all within 1-2 walking distance. This is great value for money in Hong Kong, if you don't mind a small room. The small common area had a refrigerator and microwave.

Good enough for budget accomodation in HK”

Location and staff service.

Second stay at Dragon Hostel and although the room is very small, this is a common problem for all hotels in Hong Kong. Still chose the place because I love the location. It is within walking distance to the shopping areas - ladies market and Argyle Centre. Found 2 small cockroaches in our room on 2 different days but I think that's quite a common thing there; encountered once during my previous stay. But the price is reasonable for an accommodation in Mongkok area, though you can actually find better hotel at around the same price in Yau Matei.

The place is a typical hostel in Hong Kong but the location is really nice and easy to find. At night you can just walk around Ladies Market and Sneaker Street because the hostel is just a block away. The place wasn't really crowded since we did not even line up in the elevator. This is a good place! The staff are accommodating and they clean the room.

Cheap for Hong Kong, very clean, everything works

For budget hostel, the Dragon Hostel does an excellent job. The room was slightly bigger than the bed, which is very common in Hong Kong, but everything worked. There was a small television, good hot water, good air-conditioning, and very friendly staff.

Just give the address to the taxi driver and he will bring you to the doorstep. The hostel is clean with basic amenities, it is not an issue for tourists like us who use it just to crash for the night after a whole day of touring around Hong Kong. There is good air conditioner , TV and bathroom in each room. The bathroom is tight but this is Hong Kong ,so no big deal. The host was very gracious. Good wifi connection. Very close to the metro. Plenty of restuarants and money changer down stairs.

Location, Wifi, Air Conditioning

Dragon Hostel was my first hostel experience ever. I was there for 4 nights and overall it was pretty good. I had my private room, a very small one (maybe 6sqm). However, I appreciated the wifi connection which worked perfectly and the fact that you can control your AC level. The location is also great- just a few meters away from MongKok Station which is perfectly connected to any important part of the city, The hostel was also easy to reach from the Airport. I took bus A21 for 40 minutes and it only costed like 4€. The staff was also super nice, friendly and perfectly spoke English. The only weakness of the place is the bathroom. There is not really a shower space, but it's just a toilet and a shower tube above it. However, despite the fact we were ca 10 people sharing the bathroom, I never had to wait to use it. SO if you are looking for a cheap and well located accommodation in HK, this is a perfect option.
