Nice location at Longji Rice Terrance”
We stay in Daizai Village, Dragon's Den Hostel is centerlly located in the middle of the Village which take up around 1 hours walk from entrance. We hire locals to guide us to Hostel otherwise you will easily get lost. Very friendly staff and have a lot of backpacker to share your experience with. It close to 3 view points that you can't miss. We have a great stay here in Dragan's Den Hostel even you are not backpacker.

Love here! Friendly and Cozy Stay. I don't think I could ask for more for the price I pay. ”
I just booked this at the moment when I was standing in front of their doors. The staff told me I could book it cheaper online, later they even told me which site was the cheapest to book from. I booked the wrong date when my phone was running out of battery. They helped me change the dates. Staff are very helpful and friendly. One of the staff even asked to hike with me! The visitors staying here were wonderful and nice too. Hostel provided drinking water, towels, slippers, umbrella in case of rain, and hot shower but no lockers. They have 2 dogs and a cat. If you are early enough the dogs will lead you the way to #1 spot! So sweet! :) Cons: They've upgraded the room I am staying however the toilet door couldn't be locked. If it is some other rooms it'd be ok but it's actually a mixed room. How can I use it with stranger guys in the same room? This hostel is located quite far walking distance from the gate of rice terrace. It takes hours of search&hike to get there.

Relaxed stay with best view”
Dragon's Den is the best hotel you can find in DaZhai (Tiantou) village. You have to do fair share of hiking to get there as well as to the other hotels, but you will be rewarded with stunning views and friendly environment. They have great rooms, extremely comfortable beds and downstairs common area is very friendly and well equipped. I would recommend to ask for room 305, One of the best views. The hotel also offers great selection of food and beverages (Beer from Lao is very tasty). Definitely would recommend staying there.

Really nice”
The staff was really nice, we didn't have enough cash to pay the room and catch the bus the next day so they offered us to just pay the room online and to give us a cashback, like this we would be fine :) And the food was really good and fresh, we recommend the Bamboo Rice and the Bamboo Chicken :) I definitely recommend this hostel to anyone who wants to go to the Dragon's Backbone Rice Terrace :)

Amazing spot looking out over the terraces.”
We stayed in the terrace view rooms which were great - neat and tidy with our own bathroom. The view was amazing!! The hostel itself is a traditional building which makes the experience all the more memorable. The common room on the ground floor is perfect for having a tea and looking out over the terraces. Note that there is no road access to the hostel so be prepared to hike for 40 minutes or there is an option to get a 4wd up the rough access road for 120 RMB which was perfect for us as it was pouring with rain when we arrived. An amazing spot, highly recommended!

Amazing view”
The hostel itself was converted from a traditional wooden house. It located quite high at a valley of the rice terrace, therefore the view from our room was amazing. The staffs were very helpful. The room is tidy enough with hot shower. The only problem was there wasn't enough indication along the road when we hiked up. It took us a long time to find the hostel.

Exceptional”
We spent a very good time in this hostel. The owner is very kind. Localisation is incredible, in the middle of the rice terraces. The first day, we arrived at 21:40 and the owner cooked something for us even if it was late! If we come back in Dazhai, we will spend time here again!

Beautiful and friendly place”
Nice hostel right in the middle of the rice terraces. Beautiful location, possibility to eat there (but not much choice. Much better to go to the golden dragon, just above), nice and friendly personal. The dorms are nice, ask to be put in the ones with the (amazing!) view, they don't cost more and it's beautiful to wake up with the terraces just in front of you! Cosy lounge area downstairs. It is a 45 minute walk from Dazhai, just follow the "Tian Tou village" signs. Be also warned that quite often the hostel doesn't have water or electricity until evening!

Great location, basic hotel”
Really enjoyed our stay here. The rooms are basic, and the hot water can be temperamental, but that's the same at any hotel in the rice terraces. The views from the room were great, and it was a great location for exploring the rest of the terraces. The food was also good, with a good variety of options and good portion sizes. I'd definitely stay here again.

best place in longsheng”
definitely recommended, there’s no other place like this one in all longsheng. mind-blowing view, amazing staff, great food, super cute dogs (also a cat and a bunch of hens). be ready to climb up for around 40 min to get there and make sure to ask for the directions to get to the hotel in advance, otherwise just ask the locals (what I did).

Highly recommended!!! ”
This hostel is a perfect choice for backpackers, conveniently located at the very heart of the terraces surrounded by incredible landscapes that are perfect for a relaxing rest after a day of trekking. The staff is extremely kind and super helpful, and speaks very good English. The dorms are spacious and clean, with nice showers and toilets. The food is delicious and served till late at night. Delightful atmosphere and great value for money!

hostel with good view”
The room is a bit cramped but the view of the rice terraces when windows are opened is really awesome. The bathroom is small and dark and there is no hot water from the faucet (but there hot water from the shower). The hostel is located high up in the terraces at Tiantou Village. Breakfast ordered took a long time to be served.

Unique living among rice terraces”
There are pros and cons about the hostel's location. It is located in Dazhai village, which is a fair distance from the entrance to the rice terraces. The 45-min uphill walk will be difficult for those with lots of luggage - but there are porters for hire. The dorm room (4-bed) overlooks a section of the terraces, which means it's a great view if you get the bed by the window. The room has its own little bathroom (with sitting toilet). The building is made of wood, so any noise made by others can easily be heard (even in the next room). From the hostel, it's easy to walk to the various viewpoints. You can also eat at the hostel's dining room or visit another place in the village - however, the dishes offered are similar and pricey. There's a water dispenser in the dining room to fill your water bottle so one can save on buying water. Staff can prob'ly help you book transport to Guilin or Yangshuo.

Great”
Great place to stay in, just next to the rice terraces. It was not the cleanest place I've been to but for that price it was more than satisfying. The room was really nice, and the food was good. The only thing is that the walls seem to be pretty thin and we had noisy neighbours (maybe not that noisy but we could hear everything, from the music on their computer to their chit chat). The place is a bit hard to find (I mean not that hard but you have to know they're here to get there, all the way down).

Very nice”
We had a very nice stay at dragons den. Shirley is super nice and accommodating. The view is amazing and the food served downstairs is very good. The only problem is that it can get noisy at evening and morning time, if you’re a light sleeper - be prepared to bring earplugs.

Great but was low season”
Nice hostel, located in the terraces. Contact the place before arriving or it will be really hard to find. Shirley will help you find it. During your stay, she'll help you with everything you need. Only one of the staff that speaks english. It was low season so not everything in the menu was available

Very good”
great place to sleep in the middle of the rice terrace field. very close to view point number 1 and 2 (showing on the tickets/maps). the next hotel is a bit noisy (high volume music), ask a room in the quiet area.

Ask for help”
I had a nightmare of a time getting to the hotel because it was after 5pm. Make sure to ask the hostel the easiest way to get there from whenever you are coming in. I recommend asking before you book train tickets as I went to the worst possible station. Other than getting there, it was 100% worth it. Views were amazing, the ladies were all nice, food was yummy, and very helpful with hiking. I would definitely go back now that I know how to get there!

Basic hostel in a great location. ”
The location is great. We had an amazing view on the rice terraces. The staff is really friendly. The hostel is built from wood. So it is quite noisy. Take some earplugs. The room smelled stale. The bed linen pillow and mattress had mold stains. It was okay for two nights but we wouldn't stay there for longer...

wood building, big smiling, good scenery”
The original wood building is amazing, and it's just what we want! The staff here is welcoming and helpful. Their big smiles made us feel like home. Once we lost in the half-way, we called for help and he succeeded showing the right way to the hostel. The scenery here is very brilliant, deserving the 40-minute walking upward.
