Great place”
Really nice place at top of the hill, set in jungle. Staff come and pick you up when you get off the boat. Little bars around, and 5 min walk to the beach. Pool is amazing. Nice clean rooms.

Dream”
We come here again and again, there's not going on a lot which is nice. Hippie vibes in this place. There is no electricity during the day and it can get hot. But it's just an amazing vibe in tonsai.

Comfort and luxury in a beautiful location”
Ton Sai is one of the world's few remaining uncrowded, heart-breakingly beautiful, laid-back places with a rock climber/adventurer/yogi/hippie vibe. If you enjoy that vibe but also like some comfort, this is the place for you. Two large swimming pools, delicious buffet breakfast so classy and extensive you almost certainly won't need lunch, large, well-designed rooms, beautiful landscaping, good wi-fi... And for us at least, it wasn't that more expensive than other accommodation at Ton Sai that was very basic indeed. Only downside: as everywhere at Ton Sai except the ridiculously snooty gated resort, there is no electricity between 10 am and 5 pm (though wi-fi still works fine, and you can recharge your phone at reception at all times.)

One of the more comfortable places to stay on Tonsai”
Tonsai can be a little rough. Dream valley has a variety of different room types. I stayed in two different bungalows and one apartment. The pool is really nice to have as tonsai is HOT. Although dream valley may not live up to certain western/European standards overall it was a comfortable stay for me. The staff, especially the two receptionists were so helpful and very funny which made up for any shortcomings I dealt with in my time here. If I end up on Tonsai I would stay here again.

Hotel in declining state, in not greatest location”
We stayed at the Dream Valley for two nights. We were told that Tonsai was a "quiet area," but for us, it felt more like a "dead area." It seemed that another resort had a monopoly on the entire coast, and Dream Valley was located in a less desirable area on the other side of a wall. The hotel and its surroundings gave us the impression of neglect. The hotel restaurant was closed, and the service provided was minimal, with no smiles or special courtesies. We were not given a welcome drink and there was no cleaning or replacement of towels during our stay. There were no pool towels and our room was not fully cleaned. The coffee and tea containers next to the kettle were empty and the TV bracket was hanging on the wall. The hotel had several advantages such as beautiful cliffs visible from the hotel area, a swimming pool, and the presence of langurs (monkeys). Also I appreciate that we were offered transport to the pier and help with our suitcases.

Pool makes up for other shortcomings”
In Tonsai there have always been many budget options in very simple accomodation. So Dream Valley with the only pool in this bay and decent, solid rooms and bungalows offers a lot more luxury (aircon, wifi in the room, cleaning). Despite the comparatively high prices you only have electricity between 5pm and 10am. Breakfast comes at an extra THB200. Staff is friendly but mostly, their English is quite limited. Rooms are cleaned every 2 days and you’ll have 2 bottles of water, toiletries and toilet paper renewed. The wifi is working fine. The bathroom is very basic and I had the occasional cockroach running around - but then you are staying in the jungle where this quite normal.

Good location for climbing holiday”
A basic resort. Nice pool. But it would be good if electricity was available the whole day, not excluding 10am-5pm. Email response from the resort was very slow, but they eventually got back to me. But a nice clean place.

Great for rock climbers”
Location was excellent for rock climbers but the room facilities were limited and power only available between 5:00pm and 8:00am. Good pool and helpful staff. Bring your mosquito repellent!!

Good place ”
It’s a beautiful property however you have to do a plenty of work to reach there. If you are wondering in Thailand for the first time, then please think twice. Hotel’s available contact number is not available and you will be lost to figure out how to reach

No electric ”
From Railay beach the only way to reach the resort is a 30/40 mins walk, the resort is behind the main resort at the front of the beach, and there is no electric from 8am to 5pm, the bathrooms are ouch black as you have no light, not with the money when you can’t even have your own electricity

Joke of a place ”
We checked in and after giving passport they said there’s no Electic everyday from 9am until 6pm also no internet. I went to my room and the Aircon was already broken so moved to another room. The room was completely bare and exposed electricity wires hanging from the wall.

Would not stay again!”
Terrible value for money. This was the most expensive place we stayed on our 3 week trip in Thailand and the worst. Our room was advertised to look like a nice bungalow but was a complete dump. Room wasn’t ready when we checked in at the check in time. It was an hour wait, which I understand accidents happen, but the room was awful. Ants everywhere, horrible bed, there was construction happening. Couldn’t use the pool because of the jackhammering. Wish we would have stayed somewhere else on tonsai.

Perfect for backpackers with demands”
First of all: Tonsai Beach is the Mekka for climbers. If you are just looking for a fashionable resort to relax, this is not your place. Tonsai has only bars with a strong alternative vibe, reaggae music and rural atmosphere. The beach is full of dead corals and rocks and the tide ist very strong, so half of the day there is no water. Because of land speculation (2014?) the've torn down all the bars by the beach and built a wall all around town. I was quite shocked when I arrived. But the climbers didnt give up. The wall is full of cool graffiti now and it's still the most relaxing place. The Dream Valley is the only resort with a pool and some kind of luxury at Tonsai. We had a deluxe bungalow with garden view, which we loved very much. The new bungalows by the pool are more popular, but they are just made of wood, what means, during the day they get hot very fast (there's no electricity and no ac between 11am and 4pm) and at night you can hear the reaggae music of the bars behind. The staff of the resort was very friendly and made us feel welcome. Breakfast is very good.

Great - if you can get an Agoda deal!”
My friends and I split this three ways for $28USD/night... which was a great deal. It's incredibly clean, staff are friendly, has decent Wifi in the pool and lobby. THere's no electricity anywhere on the island outside of 6PM-6AM so don't worry about that! You get picked up at the pier in a little golf cart... true luxury in comparison to the majority of the bare bones bungalows on the island. You can get pretty good deals for very rudimentary lodging (300-400baht/night), but returning to Dream Valley and its lovely pool after climbing was a real treat.

Exceptional”
Everything was great. Only thing was that the aircon only work from 5pm to 10am (which is not necessarily bad, but could’ve been mentioned beforehand). Other than that I really enjoyed my stay at dream valley resort!
