READ CAREFULLY BEFORE BOOKING!!! Electric is off between 10am-5pm. You can only leave by boat!”
While the front desk staff was wonderful and attempted to be accommodating... This property should not be listed as a resort or receive more than 2 1/2 to 3 stars as a hotel. It’s a lovely setting. However, they only clean your room every 2nd day, their towels and linen and not fresh and are soiled. There is no ice available afer approximately 6-7pm. Also, the generator which powers the property surges and makes terrible noises all night. Your description of this property is VERY misleading to say the least. This was my 1st (and probably last) time using Agoda. I will stick with my other outlets. We travel basically on a monthly basis for business or pleasure and this was unacceptable to encounter. I suggest you preview the properties you choose to represent.... Because with THIS one you obviously did not!

      value for money!”
Over all, it was not bad. The rooms filled with terrible smell when the a/c was turned on, so we had the doors open when the a/c was on in the evenings. The pool was awesome but too much acid in the pool (to keep them clean I guess) so all 3 kids got pretty bad skin irritations. The staff was friendly and helpful, breakfast was good, so we recommend Dream Valley to family travelers.

      Tonsai”
Hotel room was lovely in the superior double. Unfortunately the staff failed to mention that we had breakfast included in the price so we spent the first week and half paying for breakfast elsewhere as they wanted an additional 190 baht each if we paid for breakfast at reception. I paid for a standard bungalow for extra stay for an additional 5 nights. they failed to mention again that breakfast was included. I checked my booking again and found that for the whole time we were there, breakfast was included so I was not happy that I had spent an extra 300-400baht each elsewhere every morning. I did ask the reception about this as I was not pleased. They admitted they had made a mistake and moved us from the standard bungalow into a superior again. I think this was a blessing in disguise, as the breakfast was awful in the hotel. Fortunately the accommodation was very good so that made up for it. We continued to pay for breakfast elsewhere. I would definitely recommend staying in Tonsai.

Only flashpacker and higher travellers budget on Tonsay”
Really nice with awesome pool. Easily accessible on close to everything in the tiny village on Tonsay. 5 min walk to the beach. Be careful of insects if you have the cheap bungalows on the ground. Also pretty noisy at night and some special events may occur: monkeys jumping on the bungalow at 6am, coconut falling on the roof during the night, ... Be aware also of electricity shortage between 10am and 5pm. We have not tried the breakfast as it costs 220 baht/pax (6EUR) which is a lot for the area. Recommanded place anyway!

Traveling in low season this place had some really great deals and was perfect for me coming from 2 months of hostel stays and a lot of activities. Really nice pool area and a friendly receptionist. Comfy bed! I extended my stay for a couple of nights. Anything that gives it a minus is the loud AC.

Inaccurate description in poor location ”
Was led to believe this hotel is for Railay Beach, but it’s in a much quieter, further cove. No electricity, lots of stagnant water and piles of rubbish lying around. My partner and I were ravaged by mosquitoes and got suspected food poisoning from a nearby restaurant. Unless you are looking for a very quiet, off the beaten track, fairly cheap place I would not suggest staying here. If the tide is out and the boat can’t come the route through the rocks is also pretty treturous, and almost impossible with luggage!

The best resort of our entire vacation, and one of the cheapst”
The location is rad, not super close to the beach but right in the middle of an awesome rock climbing community. Theres monkeys just off the resort, and not the scary mean monkeys (though they are around.) These monkeys are a dark gray with with features on their face. They stay our of your way and dont steal your stuff. They even had little red babies on their chest. We also went down and rented kayaks for under $10 for 4 hours. That was AWESOME. Head out to some of the local islands and find some amazing beaches. Overall extremely happy with our stay, and only bummed that we didnt book it for longer.

Basic hotel accommodation, lovely bungalow. Well kept gardens. Clean pool. Nice staff. Collected / drop off from long tail boat. Breakfast very average — not many healthy options - no porridge , only fried options with eggs, beans cold each morning Ton Sai is a low key chilled out place. No safes in room — poss sense not needed! . However there are safe boxes in reception — can use their lock or own. But at own risk. No signing in or out of using safe box. Reception closes late eve so not advised to use overnight.

I had been to this Hotel to visit , I was supposed to stay a a couple days ended up staying a couple weeks. The staff is absolutely amazing , as is the location. If you are looking for a real getaway this is the place for you. It was a little tricky to find as you have to take a boat to get there , though once you are there you dont ever want to leave. Most definitely I will be back to visit .

The rooms were great , great pool and lovely location.
It was our first time in Tonsai , and it was definitley the nicest place to stay there. As the beach is quite a walk from most of the accomodation it was great to have the lovely pool. The rooms were good and the staff were very helpful. Would stay there again.

Avoid this hotel and resort! ”
We are never normally people to complain and are used to staying in low budget hotels however I would highly recommend not staying here and spending the extra money to stay elsewhere. Our room was dirty and damp despite being given a free upgrade - I dread to think what the other room was like. I’d like to add that we were only given this upgrade due to being the only people staying in the hotel. In the photos the pool and rooms looked lovely, but the pool was full of debris and many bugs so we decided to give it a miss. We were aware that there was no power between 9am-5.30pm but on arrival we were told that it was now no power between 7am-5.30pm. But, the power came on late and went of very early (6.30am, we were up at this time as we were so keen to leave). We told the receptionists that we would be leaving early and gave her the time, yet when we came to check out there was no one there. There are very few bars and restaurants in the area so make sure you have dinner before arriving. The staff were rude and unhelpful and when asking for help the receptionists remained playing on her phone. We read reviews of both resort and Tonsai Beach before coming and were really looking forward to this area however we were completely shocked by what we found there - it very much feels like a ghost town. This is a derelict Resort with run down and closed restaurants, no other tourists around and locals that want to rip you off.

      Very nice resort”
We really enjoyed the resort! Theres a beautiful pool, cool bungalows, nice rooms, but the bathroom isn't the nicest. Average bathroom for a Thai budget place, but compared to the rest of the resort, it could be better. Ton sai beach is a cool chilled hippie beach, a hike from Railay, and there's a wall that separates the village from the beach which is a little disappointing.

We stayed here a couple of nights in April 2018. The pool is great -- cool water for a refreshing change. It overlooks the beach. Short walk down beach to restaurants. Hotel food was not the best as even the Thai food was not authentic. However, it is close to town and easy access to dive shops, ferries, etc.

      Best place in Tonsai”
The only reason I gave it 5 stars coz there is no 6 stars! The place is highly worth it for the little amount of money you paid for. We got the room right by the pool and it was so cheap. Down point could be electricity that doesn't run all day but off during daytime from 10-17 which is ok coz you're out and about anyway. I believe other properties do the same. Others than that, I totally love the place. Staff were very nice and helpful. We will definitely come back next time.
