Delightful hotel in a great location”
We arrived early in the morning and were allowed to check in our 2 rooms. The reception was very gracious and even upgraded one of our rooms. Having stayed in other hotels in the area, we found du Continent to be in a very strategic location. The hotel has a lift. The staff are pleasant and helpful. The rooms were nicely furnished, although a bit small. Internet works at moderate speed. Overall - we enjoyed our stay. It was my one of my son's first visit to Paris and he just loved the hotel and it's location. Would definitely stay again, and recommend to friends.

Very Good Hotel”
The Hotel ideally located near the famous Louvre, Place Vendome, prestigious shopping street of Saint-Honore and a short walk from the Champs Elysees. A great hotel find as I have traveled to Paris several times, but was surprised as to the friendliness of the staff, I found it rather more spacious compared to other hotels I have booked in the same price range and a great area to find places to eat and drink (for all budgets),I definitely recommend it !

Very good”
Excellent location (in the center of tour area and shopping area). On the same street has a Chinese restaurant. The Louvre is 20-minute walk from the hotel. There is a lift in the hotel. The room is comfortable. There is a minibar in the room. Basic breakfast. I will definitely stay in the same hotel again next time I visit Paris as long as the cost is not that expensive.

Fantastic location right in the heart of Paris”
i must admit when i first made my reservations at hotel du continent, i was a little apprehensive about the quality and standard of the room. the first impression upon setting foot at the lobby was "hmm.. not too bad after all". the receptionist was helpful in getting my room ready and i was asked to help myself with a nice cup of nespresso espresso. nice! the room is considered big by parisian standards, and by japanese standards, which i was happy with. its actually bigger than what was seen in the website. it even came along with a bath tub! overall, i must say this hotel is strongly recommended for travelers looking for a value for money, reasonable sized room, and great location. i will consider staying here again if i'm coming to paris again.

Best in Paris by the Louve!”
- Marina is the best front-service I've ever met in my life! She helped me every single thing I'd asked with kindness & Parisian's courtesy! Also, recommended me great so-local Parisian restaurant. - Location is very safe and just few steps to Louvre & Opera. Many restaurants to try around the hotel. - Room is very quiet with state-of-art decoration + everything you need. Quite small but reasonable for such excellent location. - Breakfast is fresh but limited. - Definitely will be back here again! - I don't understand the people who gave any negative toward this incomparable hotel!

Lovely Hotel and nice staff”
The lady at the receptionist was very friendly and helpful. I asked for a room with a view and she gave 2 keys to check and choose whichever i like to be stayed in. She's very helpful. All the staff there are very friendly, they even send the wifi password to my room since i was too lazy to pick it up. The room is okay size, the bathroom is good size not like typical paris hotel, very small. the wifi is poor, most of the time i cannot use the wifi because it kept disappearing i have to move closer to the wall which i dont think its very pleasant. the location is superb, walking distance to shopping area and also metro station. Restaurants is around the hotel, from french to chinese. overall if i go to paris again, i will definitely stay in this hotel.

great hotel in a great location”
we have stayed a few times in paris. this hotel was a top location, and we were able to walk everywhere we needed to go. good value for money as other surrounding hotels(admittedly perhaps more glamorous) were twice the price. this suited us perfectly. clean sheeets and towels every day. fridge in room - unusual in europe - but helpful for us. assistance and advice on tours and good shuttle arranged back to the airport. highly recommended.

Amazing !”
Whether you are on a business trip or a vacation, this hotel has the perfect location and staff. Very clean, beautifully decorated with all the amenities you need. Staff is very nice and accommodating. This hotel is the best value for its location. However, don’t expect very big rooms as you are in the center of Paris, but this is also what gives the unique charm of this hotel. Will definitely come back for my future trips to Paris.

Fantastic location”
This hotel is a relatively basic but clean and comfortable and good value for money. The location is fantastic, its 5 or 10 mins from the Louvre, near parks and the river and the area is simply stunning, I had forgotten how beautiful Paris is on a nice day in the summer. The staff on the front desk spoke great English and were charming and helpful. Overall I think it represented good value for money and would def head back to the same part of Paris on my next trip.

Relaxing and pleasant”
Its not often that I am going to give anywhere 5 out of 5, but this Hotel gets it. The staff are good, it is impeccably maintained, I love the fusion of modern and old. I'd be happy to recommend it to anyone who can afford it. What else is there to say? I suppose, the old saying goes - if it ain't broke, don't fix it. I had a very happy five days in Paris, and this Hotel went a long way to making it that way.

A boutique hotel in the heart of town”
The rooms were beautifully decorated (Christian Lacroix designed) but tiny (13 sq m2 -- this is to be expected in the heart of Paris where space is at a premium). For travellers with more than 2 luggages be warned as there is barely enough space for 2 luggages in the room. The staff were quite pleasant and courteous. Breakfast options is limited to bread and orange juice. The superb location of the hotel, in the heart of Rue Cambon and Rue St Honore, and walking distance to the Tulleries and Louvre makes this an ideal place for visitors looking to shop the countless boutiques in the area.

Small but charming”
Great hotel. Typical size for a European hotel, which is small by American standard. But you are not paying for the big lobby, restaurant, concierge, and hotel staff. It's centrally located to luxury shopping as ell as the smaller boutiques on the side streets, and great food. The excellent restaurant next door has a prix fix 3 course dinner for €38+. Staff speaks English and can help with everything. Continental breakfast was atypically too big (€12@)--4 big croissants, yogurt, juice and Americano coffee. Couldn't finish and had to take it for a panic later. Internet is free (ok for email and search but not for video streaming) but requires lengthy registration due to French laws-the UI is web based, which is hard to do on a small phone without a physical keyboard.

cosy hotel with great location”
We had a good time in Paris staying at this hotel. Breakfast at the hotel was reasonable at €10/person with a cup of coffee/tea, orange juice, yogurt and a croissant and 2 types of bread/pastry. The overall experience is good except that this hotel has a funny policy of keeping your room keycard when you leave the hotel. They said it was because customers tend to lose their keycards. I left my keycard with them and when I returned, I asked for the keycard of my room number and they just gave it to me without verifying my details. It was a little scary to know that the staff easily gave my room key away. We insisted that we keep our own room keycard but it was a hassle having to explain to all the different staff everytime we walked out of the hotel.

Well located”
Stayed in this hotel over new years 2013. Location was excellent, very central to many tourist attractions whilst still being in a relatively quiet area. As a first visit to Paris, the rooms were comfortable but small, as was expected. Hotel was pretty basic but no real criticisms other than walls were thin & noise from adjacent rooms was occasionally heard. Service was always friendly & helpful.

Middle of the 1st”
Pros: Fab location, Clean. Nice staff. Great lobby. Cons: Room is on the small side. Breakfast is overpriced. Walls are paper thin. Our bathroom had a 1/2-inch lip on the doorway, which meant tripping if you forgot about it. The tub had a pretty glass swing door, but the lip between the tub and door left a puddle on the floor. The siding below the door had to be replaced because of the leak. In other words, if you're just looking for a clean place to crash in the 1st, it works. If you're looking for an oppulence, you'll be disappointed.
