Quiet, resonable priced ”
Free pick-up from bus station and send off to airport
The hotel is located away from the Xieng Khouang main street and getting a ride back to the hotel after 8pm is almost impossible. Very difficult to catch a tuk-tuk to and fro from the hotel. We had to walk back to the hotel and it was about 5 kms. The rooms are comfortable. Only an Engish speaking receptionist was available. Other staff don't speak English at all. They could improve by providing shuttle service to the town which is 5mins away by car.

I am happy with size of the room compared with price. But hotel is quite far from main market and business area.

It is far away from town center.”
It is a quiet place, but it's far away from town centre so difficult for transportation. The rental motorbike s old and expensive. But the receptionists are friendly and helpful.

ok, but worse than expected”
3 person room, spacious, clean
The room would have been just fine and as expected for the price, but the bathroom was in a state of disrepair. Something was wrong with every item in the bathroom, and we could not get hot water. That's pretty important but the room was big, the beds comfortable, and the staff was nice. For one night it was manageable.

Far from Center, no one speaks English, good room”
They will pick you from the airport but...
The airport pickup was good but I understood later that the person picking me up had nothing to do with the hotel. He was just an agent who wanted to sell the tours. In a way, it was good because I really wanted to buy a tour to the Plain of Jars. He was not pushy but he made his sale. The hotel's internet only works on the ground floor, on the right hand side. Anywhere else there is no access at all. No one speaks a word of English and ordering breakfast is an adventure. They'll give you what they think you want, not what you really want... not even "coffee" was understood. But they were nice and friendly, although the hotel is a bit far from the center and there is nothing at all in the neighborhood. Also, because it's far, you get stuck with the agent that picks you from the airport with no possibility to check other prices for the tours.

bad trip in lousy hotel”
1.hotel is about 4 km away from towncentre: transport after dark is rather complicated 2.Rooms: first room offered had no water at all after reclamation a second room was offered: there was no water at night there; the window was broken and had a hole in it; the lighting was cold and insufficient; when walking on the wooden floor water was heard splashing below your feet and it came seeping upwards; the toilet leaked; 3.restaurant was a most cheerless affair and was being rebuilt We had booked for 2 nights, but one was amply sufficient: rapid withdrawal was the only option

Poor Location”
Hot water for shower
I would not recommend this hotel as it is far from the city centre, not a convenient location. Wifi is only available at lobby.

Much worse than expected”
We read the reviews of this hotel prior to booking and didn't expect 4 or 5 star lodging. But nothing we read prepared us for how bad it was really going to be. We actually left a night early, even though we couldn't get a refund, so we didn't have to stay a third night. We generally don't mind being on the edge of the hustle and bustle and/or a little stroll to get to the good stuff. This hotel was nowhere near anything and I would say that for most people the distance is not enjoyably walk-able. Unlike the rest of the country (or continent) there are hardly ANY Tuktuks available, even from the "city". Unless you have your own transportation or have it prearranged, you are kind of stranded. The rooms are pretty bad, dingy and dated. We had stains on the bedding and dead bugs on the bed. The TVs are about the size of a laptop screen. Of course this was the only hotel (out of 5) that we had a power outage at during our stay. There were tiny ants crawling out of and around the bathroom sink. The plumbing is all exposed green plastic. The breakfast was literally barely edible, the coffee was like brown paint. The staff doesn't seem to speak any or much English, when we could actually find them. I'm not sure where it was coming from, but we could hear party screaming from our room. We were relieved to check out and were kicking ourselves for not picking a different hotel.

ok hotel ,fair way out of town”
Its probally your average hotel in the town,
When we got into the bus station ,we got a tour guide to take us to the hotel ,he infromed us our 2.40 pm flight for the next day actually left at 11.00am,which Lao Airlines had failed to tell us ,so we had a rushed afternoon and early morning next day tour of plain of jars and market etc .he was very good and got us to the airport for our flight the next morning. The hotelis a strange old place ,but the room was comfortable ,but dogs barked and the first rooster crowed at 2am,but the staff did get up early to get us some breakfast at 6am ,so we could start our tour at 6.30 .It was certinally an experience .

A nice place to stay”
Great location to stay if visiting the plain of jars
this is a basic guest house. the room was large, comfortable and clean. the staff were very helpful, even though no one there spoke fluent english we managed to communicate with each other just fine. the location is very close to the plain of jars sites 1,2 and 3 making it a great place to stay if you are planning a visit there. it is a little further out of town though, so if you need any supplies i suggest you grab them on the way there from the bus station/airport.
