Great place for nice vacation.”
This hotel is in a great location, has a beautiful lobby, clean rooms, and friendly staff. Highly recommended.
Great deal in Central Chiang Mai”
My favorite hotel in Chiang Mai. Rooms are relatively spacious, breakfast buffet is excellent, and the location is fantastic, just a short walk to the Night Market and a 10 minute walk to the old city. The price is also great, especially during the low season.
The hotel overall is a good value for your dollar Food was very good Room was clean The only negative was the mattress, it wasn’t the most comfortable I’ve had Other than that I would give it a thumbs up 👍
Lost my new phone charger”
I enjoyed my stay and love their breakfast and the location & convenience of the hotel. It's older but hanging in there! Can't beat the value for the money if you're travelling off season. Just book last minute if in off season and get an even better price. I checked out early and left my new phone charger in the wall outlet. My mistake, never rush when getting all your stuff together, then I actually saw the room cleaning staff outside my door, I got a good look at them, both young, the male seemed to be training a new female employee. I said "I'm checking out." and they went into my room as I left. I called the next day and talked to the reception staff, he said no one had used my room since I checked out, and my new charger, which turns out to be a little expensive, was not logged as a item found. Kind of disappointed about that. Again my goof for leaving it, so be careful and don't leave anything behind.
This is our 3rd stay here we are loving it more. Breakfast selection was good and staff were excellent in service and smiles. We felt it was better than Bangkok anytime in terms of people courtesy. Duangtawan is conveniently located near night market and massage shops. Plus good eating options too. We will be back for sure.
Good room (upgraded) at very reasonable rate. Adjacent to night bazaar and Loi Kroh nightlife. Only down side is elevators are slow and always crowded if you are on a higher floor. Lower floors should walk....saves a long wait. Check-out is usually slow, but not this time.
Friendly staff upon checkin Basic old fashioned gym wide variety of breakfast options great view from the 21st floor I would recommend business rooms for solo travellers who need to work in their rooms nice bath I would recommend welcome drink be brought to your room as service was quite slow on the ground floor
Nice but dated”
I've stayed here a few times now, it is a nice hotel, the staff are great and the location couldn't be better however, it is a little dated now and in need of an overhaul. The internet is flaky, it works and is fast however in some areas like around the pool it just seems to disappear at times and you have to re-login every hour. Maintenance start work with hammer drills etc at 8am every morning so be prepared for that. Breakfast is good, not great. Views from the higher floors are good however even though there are 5 lifts, 4 next to each other and another hidden at the far end of the corridors, they seem to take an eon to arrive. The pool staff will always help out with drinks and snacks however getting their attention can be tricky, especially if you're on the far side of the pool, they seem permanently glued to their phones. But for a guest friendly hotel right inbetween the night market and entertainment plaza, you can't go wrong.
All round good hotel”
Before booking this hotel I read a lot of reviews and there were a lot of negative points, yes the hotel is showing its age as are most of the hotels in and around the night market area, But the rooms are spacious and clesn, the beds are comfortable, the aircon works. The breakfast is terrific, there is a western section, vegetarian and Thai section plus a Halal and egg station. The staff were verfy obliging and I could not fault it. As I had an early flight the made u p a breakfast box for me, so full marks. I would recommend this Hotel most highly, dont take any notice of the nay sayers.
The hotel is clean and the staff are very helpful. It is near to the night bazaar and the Warorot market is within walking distance. There is a 7-11 shop right across the hotel which is convenient for snacks. We had an enjoyable stay.
Great value hotel”
Pros were location, couldn’t be better located, stroll to Old city, bars, restaurants, everything is at your doorstep. Great size pool. Value for money, it was very inexpensive. Cons were wifi, have to keep logging in with username and password every time your screen goes off, could do with a few more lifts as the hotel is so big, and almost due for a facelift, bathrooms looking very dated. But didn’t take anything away from my experience. Check in and out was smooth and seamless.
Better than I could believe”
Better than any hotel experience I have experienced for the money in the states or in Europe. You can find things to complain about here and there but to be honest if you are complaining about them you are probably already looking for things to complain about. The continental breakfast and steam room alone are good enough for a 4 star review in my opinion.
Not perfect, but competitively priced”
Good size, well-equipped rooms with all the basics. Location not the classiest part of Chiang Mai, but safe and very practical for visiting night bazaar. Long queues for lifts at times, not helped by large parties of tourists from a non-queueing country to the north. Room safe too small for laptop. Breakfast grossly overpriced if purchased as a last-minute extra, so worth booking on breakfast-included basis.
Nothing to say, nice staff, very helpful, nice room, we were upgraded to business room following my mistake twin bed instead of king bed . Just one thing, add some umbrellas to the pool, or cover some part, as this is almost impossible in the morning to find shadow. Buffet Marco Polo super good and reasonable in price.
Excellent hotel for the price and location”
Aside from the taxi dropping us off from the back end, don’t get disheartened. The hotel is well worth the price and location. It’s not high end but great for its price. AC isn’t the best so don’t expect 5 star ac but otherwise doable. Staffs were super friendly and easy to work with. Great English speaking. Location is prefect for the night market. Less than a block away but enough to get away from the crowd and noise. Overall a valued hotel.
A fine value”
This is a good hotel at a great price. It's located within walking distance of several markets, night life and some fine agencies that can offer interesting and fun activities. I've stayed at this hotel twice and I plan on staying there again on my next visit.
Hotel is good but getting a bit tired. Really good location . Close to Night Bazzar. Size of rooms are good. The pool looked amazing in pictures but were deceiving lot smaller than pics.it was a selling point for us but a bit dissapointed. Allways get prices for tuk tuk b4 you go any where
This hotel is amazing, the location is by the night bazzar, the room was very clean, the breakfast was rich buffet, there's an amazing pool and gym. I really liked my stay here and I'll be back there very soon
good location, very nice place”
This hotel was the nicest one I've stayed at in Thailand. It was right on the night market street so you don't have to walk far. Around the corner is the bar street. There is laundry across the street and a 7-11. There is a large pool (but it's not deep) and 2 massage spas in the hotel. The Chinese dim sum buffet was different because you don't order off a menu, they just bring everything out to you, even if it was something you don't eat (like chicken feet). But it was all good. The staff is friendly. The room was big. But the beds were very hard. I would stay again.
Good hotel and nice staff”
