Exceptional Customer Service ”
Kudos to Ate Rowena and Ate Melen :) You guys are the best! And if you need a Van Hire please ask for Kuya Ronny for Island Tour look for Kuya Toto. This is my 2nd time in Bohol but 1st time in Panglao and my experience in Dubay Panglao Beachfront Resort made me wanna come back to Bohol the soonest time possible. Its true that you need to pass by Dumaluan Beach with an entrance fee of 25/adult and 10/kid but they will definitely make a refund of it. It's because of an on going Right of Way issue of the Resort but they will pick you up at the entrance to help you with your baggages. And then you will now walk the White Sand Beach like 5-10minutes which is ok SINCE that is what you came for right? Just enjoy the fine white sands :)
My 4 friends and I were stayed here for 1 night. It was Saturday and and our place is not to crowded. These our honest reviews. Pros: 1. Quite place, relaxing. 2. Free WiFi 3. Friendly staff 4. Welcome bottled waters 5. Spacious room (we're 6 in our room) 6. Beach front but** Cons: 1. They don't have own entrance gate so we've paid 25Php each for passing-through to a private resort. Make sure to keep that receipt and ask for refund at Dubay's office. Because the private resort will charge you again for your egress. Our experience, Dubay's staff didn't give our refund. So make sure t get your refund. 2. ANNOYING! Water supply is not 24/7 all over their resort! They'd turned off the water supply during midnight until early morning We also experienced water shortage during noontime. We don't know why they did this. 3. WiFi is not 24/7 also! 4. No hot shower Overall, if you're looking for a budget-friendly and cozy type of resort, this will fit for you. However, just be ready for those inconveniences.
I highly recommend Dubay Panglao because of the staff. It is true that you have to walk thru the shore in less than 3 minutes in order to reach the resort. But they are willing to assist you in your baggage and they settled the 25 pesos/head entrance fee at Dimaluan beach. The rooms are big enough depending on the number of pax you are checking-in. They provide fans and extra pillows at no extra cost. The breakfast is plated. You may request them to market you and cook you food for lunch and dinner but make sure you advise them in advance. They have cold beers and drinks available at reasonable price. The beach when we arrived was low tide but there are some spots where you can feel the finest white sand and the clear water to dip. If you have an older with you, it is not advisable, unless you talk to them and ask if they could pick them using a habal habal (please give tip to the motor driver). Hopefully, the pending case on the right of way will be resolved. Coz Dubay Panglao is ok.
Good Value for Money”
We booked a room for 6 pax. The room was very spacious and the environment is very relaxing. Its a step away from the beach. The beach was clean when we went there and it was not crowded at all. The free breakfast was okay, choices of silog meals served with 3-in-1 coffee. The only problem was you are going to walk from Dimaluan Beach Resort Entrance to the Dubay Panglao Beachfront Resort. Its a 5 minute walk along the beach shore. Its a little hard when you have a lot of baggage with you. The struggle is because you have to walk on the sand. But nevertheless, the resort has errand boys who will help you carry your bags. Overall its a 4/5 experience.
The resort was quite nice and peaceful. The room we stayed in was clean and has aircon. The room shower has a heater, but the water coming out of the sink faucet tastes salty. They provide breakfast (it was included in our room package) but they dont have a restaurant where you can eat during the day. Take note that to get to the Dubay Resort, you have to pass by Dimaluan Beach Resort entrance first. It's around 5 min walk. Also, you have to pay P25 each day you enter Dimaluan. But keep the receipts! At the end of your stay in Dubay, you can request for a refund from them for all the entrance fees you paid. Overall, our stay in Dubay was comfortable. Not much people stays in the area.
A great place away from the noise”
This is a great location if you want to be away from the hustle and bustle of Alone beach. Staff was very helpful. I was glad that they sell some blocking lotion since me and my sister didn't bring one.
1. Very "ROAD" staff! Very Inconvenient PLACE 2. No road for vehicle going to DUBAY, you have to pass from private resort with ENTRANCE FEE and walk in seaside bay!! 3. No prior info with regards to the road property status (road has been close since MAY - that's 6mos) 4. Nobody welcomed us from other bay (meters away) we have to carry our luggages (please note that we are carrying a baby with us, and a full packed luggages as we are travelling to cebu after Bohol trip. We carried our luggages from 5-6resorts walking in beachside with other guests looking at us (very humiliating) 5. We had so much fun in BOHOL minus this resort, if only they just told us, we would cancel it earlier 6. No FOOD! (Except for complimentary breakfast) but aside from that? Naaah, never expect anything you have to find other resorts just to ear lunch or dinner 7. I have nothing to say but total disappointment from this place
Tranquil place by the beach ❤”
We had a great time with our stay here. It's beachfront and the water was perfect. Though we have booked a hotel transfer, they didnt show up in the airport saying that they didnt receive my number -- good thing there are airport transfer offerings outside the airport, but a hundred pesos higher. Good staffs whom had attended to our requests and needs all throughout our 5 days stay. Their accommodation was a cottage/villa type. Simple but it was comfortable. Tables and dining was in front of the villa allowing us to eat while looking at the sea. They dont serve meals tho apart from the complentary "silog" breakfast so we need to ho to the near resto/grill which is just a few minutes walk by tje shore. The access road to the resort was closed down since the right of the way was not given(?? accrd to the driver) so the guest will use the entrance of the other beach resort and walk by the beach to reach DuBay. Our stay was good and this beach resort added a beautiful remembrance in our Bohol trip. 😊 Note: This is 30-45 minutes away from Tagbilaran airport.
Nicest staff so far!”
Shoutout to Dubay staff for being great and friendly! They are the nicest resort hotel crew I've met so far. Although there are some issues in our room (family room) like toilet flush, they immediately fix it as soon as we informed them. The beachfront is also superb. White sand and crystal clear water. If you want to avoid the noisy place of Alona, take this place. Thanks Dubay! We'll surely recommend this place. :)
Friendly staff, good beachfront location & affordable price”
Was fetched here by my friendly Tagbilaran Tricycle Driver from my previous day's hotel in Tagbilaran & really glad that their beachfront had the same fine sand as Dumaluan Beach Resort(fully booked). I am a real sucker for clean white sand beach with clear waters.. i tend to like swim more than snorkel.. I came early to just confirm my booking & left my luggage with the friendly owner & his staff. I was leaving for my trip to Balicasag Island. When i was back to my hotel in the evening i had quite a long chat with the owner & he was really interested in giving me opinions about things to do in Bohol.. Back in my Junior Family room at 2650php per night, i found everything was to my satisfaction.. I had a nice porch with a rest area with lamp for just relaxing with my novel, San Miguel & smokes. Good & powerful air conditioner, nice cosy bed with thick blankets, TV with Cable channels showing movies & sports programs, nice bathroom with strong hot shower.. Simply everything i expected is available.. Checked out early the following morning for my fastcraft trip to Siquijor, feeling glad that i choosed this comfortable & cosy beachfront mini resort.. Good choice for pple who enjoy relatively quiet beachfront stays..
The place is far from all the noise. The property is right in front of the beach. ”
The staff were amazing and tended to all our needs. Only downside was the road not being open directly from the resort and you have to go through a private resort and pay 25 pesos every freakin time! The government has to do something about the road. That Dimaluan beach resort is so cunning for doing that it pissed us off everytime we had to pay to and from it
nice beach, not crowded however you have to walk really far to reach this place, not recommended if you have big bags with you . there's an alternative road but you have to pay, still you have to walk but at least shorter. accommodating staff. simple but good enough.
Room: Good. Big enough for 3 pax. You can ask additional mattress. Toilet is clean. Location: beachfront. peace and quiet. Love the place. Food: Free breakfast with fruits! They're fixing the kitchen so they don't serve lunch n dinner options.
Access rd cannot be used because of ongoing legal problem so had to walk along the beach with heavy luggage Our room didn't have any water so couldn't shower Changed room but not as nice coz at the back Toilet didn't flush Air con was not near the bed Breakfast in the morning was cold and inedible Such a pity this place has not been maintained
You get what you pay for.”
PROS: a. Hotel is indeed beach front, located right at Dumaluan beach that has fine, white sand. b. The room we got was good for 5-6 people so it's spacious for just us 2 and price was cheap compared to other hotels in the area. Plus they serve decent breakfast. c. Staff was very nice & accommodating. CONS: a. The room can use a little bit of renovation, looks worn out and the flush was not working. There's not enough water pressure in the shower. b. There is only 1 beach bed that obviously gets occupied very quickly by other guests. c. Access to hotel is still not fixed, you have to pass by Dumaluan Resort at P25/person/per way. d. They don't serve lunch or dinner so you have to go to Villa Umi or Dumaluan to buy food/refreshments. e. This resort is open to daytrippers so it gets crowded on weekends. f. Worst part is the resort right next to it (Bolod Resort) accommodates large groups of daytrippers who would sing videoke very loudly the entire day!!! It ruins everything!
Nice place, a great value for money. Wala nga lang garahe but you can pay for a garage maybe 300 meters away, Php50 overnight.
i will never book again to this place”
*no water in all faucet even in their shower room *the lighting in the vicinity is too dark *staff not cooperative *aircon not functioning
Great value for money in an excellent location right in front of Dumaluan beach!
The service was good”
Great location and facilities. Served with free breakfast. However, going to the resort was a bit hassle since the road directing to the resort was closed. You need to enter either in Dumaluan Beach, wherein you need to pay 25 pesos per head or to Uniwide Beach Resort (but no entrance or exit fee). But nevertheless, the stay was good. Great and accomodating staff.
Great staff, price, and location”
We wanted a place right by a quiet beach and Dubay really delivered. Their rooms were actually like simple 'villas' that are literally steps away from the shore. The staff were very accommodating. Thanks for a great time!
