Location is incredible. Short walk to the village (700meters) when you want to have a stroll or if you don’t want to wait for the free shuttle bus. Staff are very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Rooms are great, comfy bed, well fitted out, heater and heated towel racks are awesome. Recommend hiring snow gear from Duck Inn staff take their time to kit you out and help with questions. Restaurant and bar is a nice place to rest after skiing all day, has a lovely atmosphere and games to play. Just wish the bar was open past 8pm. Can’t wait to go back next year.

Exceptional”
I really enjoyed my stay at Duck Inn. Beautiful and very clean suite, lovely and helpful staff, very close bus stop (which take us to the village) and great amenities. My husband and I had dinner at the hotel restaurant and the food was absolutely delicious, just a bit expensive though. I would recommend and stay there again!

Very small over heated room. The reception doubles as ski hire and is not very welcoming. Not much atmosphere in the evening. Board games were missing pieces so we were not able to play. The shower is totally ridiculous - it is small enough without having a shelf placed in the wrong spot along with shampoo dispensers on the other side making it difficult not to hit the shelf several times. Very friendly staff - comfortable bed but no storage for gear.

Heating in the room is adjustable. We are very surprised that you did not fin the ski storage and drying room for the gear.

Mixed opinion”
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The ski and dry room was a great touch. Unfotunatly the bed and pillows were uncomfotable and the breakfast didn't have enough variety for myself being celiac. Being informed prior to breakfast about the options would have been better so i could have prepared my own breakfast. The room was clean and the heated towel rack was nice.

Staff were very nice but facilities let it down. Breakfast only started at 7.45am and was ridiculously basic. Weetbix and a seriously slow toaster- very crowded set up. No hot food and stale bread. Dinner was extremely over priced and not of an acceptable quality. Rooms ok but no body wash in the container. No shampoo or conditioner. At end of season but very poor for the price.

Really not much positive to say about our experience. Heating not working, holes in wall, lacklustre housekeeping, no bathroom soap and rude staff (except lively Argentinian in hire shop). This location is a long way from the skiing and a real hassle to carry skis uphill. In brief there are much better options.

We are 400 meters from the nearest lift and there is a free village shuttle 20 meters from our front door. We are surprised that you have difficulty taking skis 20meters up the road.

This place is not what u see on Internet. Very poor service from staff and one of the staff member told my wife off and my little daughter while they were lining up to breakfast. I won’t recommend this place for no one honestly, it’s not worth the money we paid. Sorry 😢

Great find in mount buller- a short walk to the slopes, unbelievably helpful and friendly staff, ski hire ready to rent on the day, pretty much everything you need in one stop! Mount Buller overall is expensive so if you're staying the night, the Duck inn is a great option. I even lost my phone on the slopes and the duck inn went out their way to retrieve it, and then made sure it got back to me. Thank you!

Enjoyable weekend away”
My boyfriend and I stayed here from 20th August until the 23rd and it we found it to be a pleasant stay. The staff were lovely and our room was clean and had what we needed. I was hesitant after a couple of grouchy reviews from others but once we arrived we had a lovely time. It met all of our expectations and we don't need to find microscopic things wrong. Well done to the team at Duck Inn.

Cool nice boutique hotel”
Nice warm hotel with friendly staffs. Just outside the hotel is the free shuttle service to the square where are the activities are. The heaters in the room makes the temperature inside so comforting especially when u are back from outside which is definitely below 2 degree c at all time

Winter wonderland”
Breakfast is great. Rooms are comfortable and staff are friendly. My room has a balcony and I enjoyed watching the sunrise and gaze at the stars at night from the balcony. Amazing winter wonderland experience!!
