Two-Bedroom Villa with Private Pool
Stayed 8 nights in July 2016
Great if you don't intend to share with another couple. ”
I feel that the other reviews on this property may have come from people who have not stayed anywhere else in Bali before as, though this property is beautiful, it is really lacking in some basic stuff. This is my third trip to Bali and normally would stay in three or so locations each trip (private pool villas) so I'm pretty familiar with the standard of accommodation in a similar price range.
The villa itself really has been set up like the second bedroom was an afterthought, the bathroom is very pokey in one bedroom but the other has an outdoor bath which is in full view of the entryway making it effectively unusable during the stay unless you are on very intimate terms with your other travelling companions. The better bathroom of the two only has a hose shower head which can't be affixed to the wall so get used to showering one handed.
Only one set of keys is supplied meaning if you intend on doing anything as separate couples you must coordinate return times and hope the party with the keys isn't delayed. There isn't adequate seating outside, first in best dressed for the two sun lounges and the other couple sits on the concrete. The sofas in the lounge could accommodate four people but only if you sit rigidly as if waiting for a bus.
Service wise this were also subpar, there are no toiletries apart from a bar of soap supplied (most places we've stayed went so far as to include toothbrushes and toothpaste in addition to your standard shampoo and shower gel!), almost empty toilet rolls were not replaced (after continually having to ask for them to be replaced we gave up and just bought our own toilet paper for the remainder of the trip) and after using towels several times then leaving them on the floor (so they would be replaced as instructed in the room guide) they were just hung up again.
Though the caretakers try their best (we had two different young gentlemen during our 8 nights who are there between 7-4 each day to provide breakfast and clean) they re
