The water in the bathroom wa salty and shampoo and soap wont bubble so i feel like salt is still all over me. Food at breakfast was great a lot of variety at the buffet, meal facing the sea..the calmness of the waves was soothing. A few big flies flying around your food. Maybe a candle for every table should be provided. Dogs should not be allowed lurking around while you are eating.
We love the location because it's quite compare to Alona Resort. Staff are very helpful, honest and always smiling. The only downside are the toilet flush was not working. The water in the sink sometimes it works but most of the time it doesn't. The water in the shower was only a drip so it will take forever to rinse your full body. The water in the bathroom was salty. We use bottled water everytime we brush our teeth. If the owner will fix or maintain the rooms then it will be great. Breakfast by the way was awesome!
Beachfront is the best”
It's my second time here. Check in was the same like last 2016 - it took so long to get a room. Maybe because it was peak season, but I waited almost two hours to get a room, despite the advance booking. Check out was quick though. The staff is very accommodating and kind. Food was also good. Beachfront is the best - it's the same beachfront with Bohol Beach Club. Water was salty though.
World traveled couple”
The resort was as promised. Quieter and away from the crowded beaches of Alona. The resort is a quick 15 minute ride away from the new Panglao Int Airport (resort requested cab =P300 ($5.75 USD). The driver was there at the airport even though are flight was over 1hr delayed! Points to them or quality can svc. The included breakfast was good but only varied slightly from day to day. The rest of the menu was very good and service was timely. The fresh fruit shakes were a favorite. Yes the beach in the morning (at low tide) was not swimmable but in the afternoon and at dusk was adequate. This beach by far was the cleaniest we saw in Panglao. They had groups of people daily cleaning seaweed and other natural seagrass/debris that washed up onto the sand. The beachfront sand area was wide enough to enjoy. We visited 5 other beaches on Panglao and with the exception of Momo beach this one at Dumuluan was very good. It is a 10-12 min ride to Alona(P100-150 each way)trike ride that you call for at the front desk and walk approximately 150 meters uphill from the resort road to board. Rent a scooter(multi-day) you will thank me for this. The rentals started at only P400/day and you come and go as you please. If you are adventurous you’ll need a scooter to drive to CARMEN to visit the chocolate hills. Its a beautiful ride and approx 75-90min each way. THe resort had large, clean rooms and somewhat comfortable beds. Our room had a front covered porch with seating for two overlooking the pool and it was relatively quiet. The room ,however, did share a wall with one neighbor and if you are a ‘loud’ couple (wink) or your neighbor is you will hear most of whats going on! As an added surprise they did have room service and it too was timely and well thought out. We definitely enjoyed our stay here and will return. Thank you Dumuluan!!!
A pleasant stay ”
We had the Junior Presidential Room , which was right by the beach and next to restaurant .. No problems.. Very beautiful gardens with nice pools , which even had a permanent lifeguard . Definitely I recommend this place. Also you can get to Balicasag island, in less than 1 hr , there is only one resort there, very serene, lots of corals , snorkeling and diving .
Good location , beach was stunningly beautiful, Perfect white sand beach. ”
Value for the money, beautiful beach, staff was accommodating and helpful. Not to crowded. Compare to Alona beach. They can improve on their food,a bit pricey and breakfast has limited choices.
Nice and peaceful resort with a beautiful tropical setting, very relaxing. Staff was very helpful and respectful. Clean rooms, pool, and its surroundings. However, after taking a shower in our bathroom there was always a lot of water (it should definitely be fixed) - design change. Food served in the restaurant was very delicious. Breakfast was ok although we missed fruits so much. The negative thing was music played during breakfast - playing loud electronic music and rave is not appropriate.
worth your money, good service”
I highly recommend this resort. Mid range price and good customer service. The resort has super friendly staffs and good food choices. We will definite go back!
One of the best resort to spend vacation in Panglao”
Reading the bad reviews about this resort made me a little nervous and anxious but when I and my family got to the resort I thought that it was not that bad. I booked 2 rooms and both are okay, the rooms are spacious, it has drawer, a cabinet, they also provide towels and the bathroom is nice and also spacious. On the other hand, the location of the resort is a thumbs up. It is beach front so if you're tired to swim in the pool you can go straight away at the beach. Also, the breakfast buffet is great, there are a lot of selections. We stayed for 3 days and there are variations everyday on breakfast. The staff are friendly and very accommodating
Lovely Beach resort with very disappointing Rooms.”
I cannot believe that Hotels can be in such a beautiful and advantageous place, and they then treat foreigners like they are Blind, Gullible or both. If I owned this resort I would replace the broken glass in the bathrooms and make the rooms more presentable. The first room we were given had a double bed facing a refrigerator, and the glass wall separator in the bathroom was smashed and left with sharp edges everywhere. The Half-Horsepower AC had seen better days. It was cold but too noisy. Taking in mind we had paid full price for both rooms booked we complained. After 10 minutes we were moved to an 'Upgrade room'. It was a little better because the AC was quieter but we found we couldn't reach the controls (controller was missing). When we checked the bathroom it had a nicer rainfall shower but no bath plug. Water is also very SALTY. The bathroom was slippery and we had another glass separator which again was damaged. Shocking rooms but nice resort. I give score 6.2 out of 10
Older hotel, maintained. In our Deluxe room there was no hot water and the cold was partly salty, so after the shower, you were still stuck. Drinking water and a barrel were not packed in the room or in the hotel. When I asked at the front desk, I was told to buy in the hotel shop, the water there was three times more expensive than normal. There was an older type of electrical plug in the room that didn't go European. I asked the receptionist for an adapter, I was told they don't have to buy. The hotel is right on the beach, has a swimming pool, but not beach towels ??? There are four plastic chairs at the pool, no deck chairs, nothing. The biggest disappointment, however, is the beach, the pictures and the view beautiful, but nowhere is written that there is basically can not swim !!! At low tide, the water is at the ankles and at high tide at maximum waist. As a whole, the hotel came to me as a tourist money factory, like the whole Panglao, I will never return.
Stay away from this resort if you want a good vacation!”
Worst experience- Restaurant served us old & spoilt rice for dinner!!! it fell apart when they served which we put down as a cheap rice, we carry on earing until we ate a smelly, different texture; a very soft portion of the rice.. No sound or anything from the management. -misleading room category- executive room is expensive & is a basic savers or standard room elsewhere! -very poor selection on their free breakfast. cheap rice, ham & canned tuna(2days in a row) -check in was stressful. -No elevators on floors -No phones in rooms they have a good beach front. however, i find it a bit dirty, Rooms are so basic, towels are old, cheap pillows, service is poor, breakfast is appaling! Over all, they don't offer value for money, basically it is like a backpackers resort (with a pool), charging you a 3star hotel rate! you'll be hugely disappointed in staying here.
It was a good location if you want to do island hopping as the pick up is just at the beach front. However, the facilities and room really need upgrading. The review mentioned that the water is salty, it is really true as I experience the saltiness too. So we got to buy our own mineral water to brush teeth.
On the beach”
After reading so many bad reviews I took the chance and to all you whiners Get a life Food was good Staff were attentive Room was good The only minus is the salty water but I noticed pipeline work going out to dumaluan beach Great place for a holiday Forget Alona beach Overrated and overpriced
All in one”
I travelled with my wife and 4 children all under 7yo. Location is exceptional - 30mins from the airport, has good restaurant (so many walk-ins from other hotels!) , good food (Filipino food is the best with huge servings) breakfast is filling and very nice and accommodating staff. Even the OJTs are all up for it. My wife especially enjoy the foot and back massage near the chapel. Boholanos are one of the warmest people on earth. The only downside is the water from faucet is salty. However, accdg to the locals, the project that will improve the water condition is already in the works. The beach is low tide in the morning but looks better during lunch time and at night (low tide season) but in this beach especially, they are rehabilitating their side and is growing sea grass to encourage fishes to stay. Just walk a bit from the shore, bring your mask and snorkel, and you'll see that fishes swim with you! Thank you, Dumaluan! It's been a great vacation!
Love the place... the ocean is clear and the room is big enough for my family.”
Before I booked this resort I was hesitant to book because of the bad reviews but I booked It anyway..And I was surprised when we got there it's not really that bad..my family loved it and they said that they would love to go back there .The only problem is the bathroom it needs improvement the water is a little bit salty but overall we enjoyed our stay.
I have stayed here 3 times at least 3 years apart. The rooms we have stayed in and the pool got better in time. The room we got this time around was spacious and clean. The only and biggest problem of this resort is their food. On all 3 visits, food was forgettable. Edible but forgettable. The salpicao doesn't have garlic and is full of bellpepper. The sitaw/string beans in the sinigang had holes and brown markings which tells you that some friendly caterpillar had his share first. You can't go wrong with ice cream but surprisingly the softserve vanilla icing tasted like shaved ice with milk and it's a bit sour. The cone wasn't crunchy too. The owners should seriously think of hiring a chef consultant to improve their food. They have the best location in the island with a fantastic beach and facilities are ok however I couldn't say we totally enjoyed our vacation because of their food. They could get more customers if they improve their food.
Check in time is around 3pm but you can lounge around the resort while waiting. ”
Definitely, not understaffed and the staff are courteous and approachable. Great beach and pool. The only problem we had was the mosquitos and the smell emanating from the comfort room... But all in all had a great stay and will definitely book this again when we go back.
Awesome stay -Spacious, comfortable, good food and awesome beach”
We booked family room (located in the 3rd floor) - very spacious, comfortable. Bathroom is also big but not well maintained, faucets are not fixed, drainage were clogged up takes time for the water to drain, water power is not enough to get to the shower so we had to use the water basin, no rags in the room as well. Good food in the restaurant, the buffet breakfast was amazing - we enjoyed it. Dumaluan is near to the new airport - 5 minutes away the resort has service too you'll just have to pay 100 pesos each. Beach front is really beautiful but when we get there a part of it is closed for conservation. White sand is amazing. Over all I will recommend Dumaluan and will definitely go back.
A nice place to stay for relaxation”
Location is good about 10-15 minutes from the newly opened Panglao airport. The hotel is near the beach front and place is peaceful and quite compared to the resort hotels in the Alona area. This is a good place to relax and enjoy. The rooms in the resort are spacious, however, the water inside their bathroom is salty. Internet access is limited to the surrounding areas near the information desk so there is low or almost no wifi signal inside rooms. Just a tip, if you are staying in this hotel, you should buy outside of the resort your bottled drinking water (since they do not provide free water inside the rooms) and food snacks since it is very expensive to buy them inside the resort. A can of soda will cost you P70.00 while a 150 ml water costs P100.00. The restaurant serves good food but a little bit pricey. Transportation from the resort to airport costs P300.00.
