Dunes Unawatuna Hotel was built in 2013 and is located a five-minute walk from the picturesque Unawatuna Beach and five kilometers from the vibrant Galle and Dutch Fort.
The entrance to the property is located on the main tourist street of Unawatuna with cafes and restaurants, but the hotel rooms are facing the garden and the pond, away from the busy street.
Many kinds of beautiful Sri Lankan birds can be found on the big Mara tree, and there are butterflies near the natural pond in the garden. Also, guests can see monkeys feeding from various plants. A family of mongooses and monitor lizards are also frequently seen in the garden.
Dunes Unawatuna Hotel was built using recycled timber and minimal concrete. The hotel has asbestos, free roofing sheets, and a Sri Lankan clay-tiled roof to keep the rooms cooler.
Guests here will experience high quality room facilities, including rain showers, king-sized beds with spring matrasses, powerful fans, and complimentary bottled water. The property also provides breakfast, ironing facilities, a seating area, and laundry services. Secure car park facilities and free driver accommodation are also provided. Friendly staff will make guests feel at home as well as help to organize any activities in the area.
