Couple with half year old baby”
We slept there for 3 nights. Did not clean the room once or changed the bed sheets until the last night when we asked for it. Staff were polite and helpful. There was a leek in the bath room and always had water on the floor. Breakfast was bad and not satisfied at all. No value for this money. The room was so small even in Venice standards
Duodo Palace was very nice. The staff was very courteous and friendly.
Great service and Good location”
Staff were very friendly and welcoming, lovely boutique hotel, gorgeously furnished. Had a nice stay
We found the hotel very nice and authentic. Near all the attractions and only about 5 minutes walk from St Mark's Square. The wall covering probably need replacing but extremely clean. We were disappointed that breakfast was not available at 7am on our last day. We had a 7.50am ferry to catch to the airport. When we checked in we were told breakfast was available from 7am but this was not the case. We would stay again.
Place is nice, however the front desk staff seemed to be a bit snooty and looked like they didn’t want to be bothered. Blow dryer in room looks like a vacuum cleaner and blows very slow. Other than that, nice place and only 0.3miles from San Marco square.
Good location and friendly staff”
There are no slipper in the room but when we asked the front desk for it we were told they only provide it for Junior suits. However, they have brought us the slippers and toothbrush. Just a bit strange to see that this beautiful four stars hotel has this non-specified rule. We were allocated in a room with very low ceiling even though they have accepted my request previously for higher floor and cancel view. Different expectation and experience.
Bad service bad facilities”
Hotel reception saw us struggling with our luggages when we first arrived, yet did not bother to help. Hotel staff wasn’t friendly upon our arrival too. Had trouble navigating to the hotel - up and down the bridges (with stairs) was a pain for a family of 5. Hotel was tucked in a quiet corner in a narrow lane, gets creepy at night. Toilet flush wasn’t working - staff insisted it was. Air conditioner wasn’t working, room was hot and stuffy the whole night - told the reception twice, still insisted it was. No kettle in room. Overall an unpleasant hotel stay in Venice, would not recommend.
A real gem”
This hotel is a real find. It's tucked away in a lovely quiet location ensuring a good night's sleep, but is actually only a 4-5 minute walk from St Mark's Square. The rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean, and nothing is too much trouble for the staff. The decor is typically Venetian and grand; not 'just another hotel room'! There is a great choice for breakfast which runs from 7am - 10.30am and you can eat as much as you like. Great value for money - we wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel and will definitely stay there again.
Small room in which we stayed. Sitting and dining areas too much furniture. ”
Like many hotels in Venice Good location
Wonderful Hotel in a great location”
The Hotel is situated just off of St.Marks Square and therefore is a great base for exploring Venice. The water taxi takes you right to the front door so no need to panic about finding the Hotel. Staff were very friendly and welcoming at all times. Hotel has a lovely wee bar serving drinks from around 5pm to 12am and the staff working there are very friendly. Overall a great Hotel to stay in and would thoroughly recommend if visiting Vennice
Great location. Staff very friendly ”
Venice is a maze so finding any hotel is hard no matter it's location. But this one is really close to a water taxi stop which made it easier. I really liked that they offered to store our luggage after check out since our flight got delayed and we didn't want to walk around Venice with luggage. Overall nice hotel.
Beautiful Hotel near to San Macro Stop”
The hotel is classically beautiful with canal in front of the hotel. The receptionist is very helpful and the breakfast spread is quite good. If reach by land, it's rather tricky as it is tucked in the back alley of two antique shops. Just email the hotel upfront and they will provide you with a helpful map.
My wife and I visited Venice in October and stayed here. It was by far the most expensive hotel on our trip. We expected commensurate accommodations. Our experience was by far the worst of our 18 day trip to Italy. When we got to the room, it was hot (79F), no AC. The staff told us to open our windows. It seemed like a good idea until the middle of the night when I woke up with mosquitoes dive bombing me. Upon waking, my count was 11 bites on my head and arms and few more on my feet. Needless to say the windows were closed the next night which was Duodo's idea of an in room sauna. I complained to the Sebastiano, the manager about the environmental conditions and he did offer som compensation. But he demanded checking account and bank routing numbers which my bank advised me strongly not to send. He claimed he could not issue a partial refund by check or to Visa. Don't stay here unless you're immune mosquitoes and sauna like conditions.
This place is centralized in Venice. With access from a canal and from a street.”
Great service. Arranged transportation to the airport for us.
The place is great for its location, room, and friendly staff. It is very near to the landmark area too. Though the hotel may not be so easy to find for the first time.
Just go! This is a lovely boutique hotel, gorgeously furnished with an attentive staff!
location is good and friendly staff”
Good location friendly staff, we had a nice stay. Thanks :)
Excellent staff, they were extremely helpful and polite. The hotel offers a free private boat ride to Murano. Breakfast was good selection
