Nice but Could use Some Repairs”
I stayed here twice so it's pretty good actually. The location. Is excellent, and most of the staff are helpful. However the AC runs so cold, and did not change by my adjusting it, that I had to just turn it off. Then it would get too warm after about 2 hours so... Plus, in my second stay my safety deposit box did not work and it took some time to repair it- an inconvenience. Also their credit card machine did not work one time. Room furnishings are lacking in some rooms (14th floor). The restaurants in the hotel are ridiculously expensive. Just a few blocks walk are dozens of excellent restaurants in the 'Greenbelt' area- I don't know why the hotel restaurants are so expensive and the food is not that great. The prices were 3 times those of restaurants nearby. The buffet breakfast is almost $30 US and there is nothing special about it other than there are many many choices.

Business trip”
A little run down hotel. Every morning in the cafe when I ordered cupocinno, it will takes me to order twice before it will Arrive cause the first order always gone with the wind. Apart from this, room towels is always not fully replaced even on day one when I check in. Service wise, far below what a 5 stars hotel suppose to be, properly I call it a 3 stars services in a 5 stars hotel.

Room needs refurbishing, slow to attend to guest's request”
The room assigned to my mother and me was big than normal but the furnishings (wood panel, toilet fixtures, cabinetry) were dated and needed refurbishing. At around 8pm in the evening, I called up for 2 extra drinking water bottles but it was not delivered until after an hour and only because I had to remind them. Their breakfast buffet has a good selection and spread. Upon checking out (no extension or late check out was granted) there was a long line of guests checking out that it took us more than twenty minutes, standing in line just to check out. This guest officer handling the line arranged and broke the line into two, after asking me to transfer to the other line, a guest who just came in stood before me and was allowed to cut the line.

Above average”
The Good: 1. The staff were friendly and helpful 2. Food was good 3. Good location. SM Makati is just across the hotel. The Bad: 1) The room was dark. I called housekeeping to ask for assistance since I could not find the switch for the fluorescent/white lights but they told me the room had dim/yellow/incandescent lights only. I had to ask for an extra lamp because we were having a hard time eating our dinner 2) The carpet was super dusty 3) There were roaches in the comfort room near the pool 4) The notepad provided had scribbles already and the pen is even broken😅

Good”
Very old rooms and front desk allowed us to check-in while works are on going inside the room. Quite disappointing after paying that much

Still the best location in (metro) Manila”
The Dusit Thani is a landmark of Makati Manila. Located near EDSA beside the Ayala Center station, it offers the best location to go anywhere in metro Manila. While the lobby and corridors are in good shape, the hotels' age is showing inside the rooms, however, they remain nicely furnished and comfortable. The big disappointment for me was that they had replaced the bath tub in my room with a shower -- I thought a tub was mandatroy for a 5 star hotel? All in all, a very pleasant stay.

Nice stay for Mother's Day”
Celebrated Mother's Day here for an overnight stay. Though, the greeting card came late. For the room, I requested for a baby cot which also came late. The shower gauge was broken, called for room service to fix. Anyway, it's still a nice stay. Reminder: Don't check out exactly 12nn, the reception gets crowded. Long queue line.
