      Quiet oasis”

This hotel is in a quiet neighbourhood off busy streets surrounded by fruit trees, ponds, pools and waterfalls. Rooms are large with the choice of AC or fans. Fresh cooked breakfast options. Great location for exploring the palace area.

      Clean, cosy and comfy”

Just a few minutes walk, and you get to a few street pubs. And having a pool in Yogya heat is a treat at the end of the day. Staffs are always nice and willing to help. Rooms are very clean and spacious, no hair dryer, iron or mini fridge in the room that i stayed in though, but easily sorted with a call to the front desk.

Everything is almost perfect. You are a princess when you live there. I had an early flight and staffs kindly prepare me a box of breakfast when I leave. WiFi should be improved. It was not working at all. I use my 4G all the time there.

A Hidden Garden in the Middle of the City”

If you want a more "homey" atmosphere in where you spend your night, then this is the place. Some people may like staying close to where the action is but being in a hotel which is relatively small compared to its neighbours and far from the main thoroughfare means limited occupancy that translates to peace and tranquility. You're guaranteed to wake up fully charged and ready to roam the streets of Yogyakarta once again.

Loved the Duta Garden Hotel in Timuran. Walking distance to cafes in Prawirotaman. The room is spacious with additional balcony to spend your afternoon overlooking beautiful garden and pool. Breakfast was very good too. Professional and friendly staff. Well recommended!

It really is an oasis in the middle of the city!”

      Garden,swimming pool,breakfast.

We had a wonderful time there. The room we stayed in was comfrtable, ample and cristal clear. The garden and the swimming pool are very nice also. A wide choice for breakfast and good quality things. Very quite so easy to relax. Not so close to the center but in one of the main accomodation areas of the city. We highly recommend the place.

      Pleasant stay”

the grounds, the room, the pool

Our stay was fine but the biggest drawback of this hotel is the fact that they do not seem to have a restaurant on site. Breakfast was good, but otherwise, the menu was limited and guests were requested to order food 60 minutes ahead of time. Overall the place was good but the restaurant could use an upgrade.

      Tranquil Oasis”

      Pool, fabulous waterfall garden, staff.
      None

the hotel is off the main road down a suburban lane which means it is wonderfully quiet. the only exception is during muslim prayer time but even them the sound is evocative rather than distracting. jalan prawirotaman, the more well known tourist strip is the next street along, less than 100m further on, so very handy with its atms, hotel & restaurants. duta is also handy to all the city sights such as the water palace , sultan's palace, maliboro street with shopping, ramayana ballet etc.

nice hotel a little out of town”

Friendly staff, nice clean rooms, pool is nice
Could have some sort of cable TV only local TV available, right next door to a mosque, not loud but at 4.00am there is the call to morning prays

Generally enjoyed my stay as I stated a bit out of town but there is a good local bus service straight into town. Did not enjoy owner or manager trying to put the hard word on me, to go on extra tours etc etc. Otherwise not bad.

      Lovely stay in Yorga”

The hotel is very quiet and clean. And the setting is really charming, I really love the garden and pool. It sets the holiday mood. Even the staff is not totally fluent in english, but the female receptionists are quite friendly and helpful. They do their best to help and even help with my day tour to Borobudur and so on. To my surprise, they even have afternoon tea time! Just when i felt so tired from the sun and heat, they brought me tea and sweet so I can sit in my balcony and enjoy the quietness! This is really lovely~ definitely come back and stay.
The hotel is hidden in the winding alleys, very easy to get lost and the small lanes are a bit dark in the evening. However it is away from the crowd and streets, so you can really sleep well! Bathroom is a bit old...but however very clean. with the price like that...I have no complaint.

Over all the hotel is really enjoyable. But when you take taxi from the airport, make sure the driver drop you off at the right spot since the owner has 3 sister hotels and it could be a bit confusing in their names. I was dropped off at the Duta Guesthouse on the main street but found out it is not the right one I booked. Luckily the hotel kindly arranged a motorbike to take me there. Very sweet and considerate.

Great stay at Duta Garden Hotel”

We had a great time at the Duta Garden Hotel in July 2017. The breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed the pool at the end of each day of exploring Yogya. The location was great - set on either side of a lane and away from loud traffic. The rooms were clean, and while we didn't have hot water in the shower, we didn't particularly mind.

Beautiful Garden and Pool - Bad tour option”

We spend 3 nights there - staff is very nice and hotel is very well located in quite area next to great coffee and restaurant place. Room are nice, wooden - garden and 2 pools are great. Bad things : We booked with the hotel a taxi ride to Borobudur of 4h. We stayed in the temple 2h as mentioned by staff and on our way back we get stuck for 2h30 in the traffic ! And they charge us 2.30 extra ! I believe traffic jam on Saturday is not unusual and having a 4h trip knowing perfectly its impossible just to charge extra its really scamming. Recommend to find a better deal with all included tours around. Also - when we left the credit card machine was not working and we have to rush to ATM to withdraw to pay the bills....not great when you have all planed.

I selected this hotel for it's garden with pools and it's size (don't like big hotels) and wasn't deceived. It's a relaxing and marvellous oasis. Very clean and with very friendly staff. Excellent value for decent price. Only thing I would change - bathroom.

It is a quiet paradise in the heart of Yogya”

we spent a full week in the hotel, because we loved it so much. They have 2 areas, both with very nice garden and a pool surrounded by the bungalows. we stayed in the one with the cheaper rooms. It was phantastic, very comfortable bed, very clean, the stuff was super great and even bought some young coconuts for us somewhere in the city when we were sick in bed for 2 days. The bathroom though are quite old and need a renovation. however, there was enough hot water and they are even part open air what we liked. we could visit the more expensive bungalow rooms in the other part of the hotel and they are really worth the higher price. beautiful bathroom and very nice room. we also liked the pool there better, so we went to their pool, not to the one in our part, but that was ok :) next time we come to yogya, we book one of these rooms, but they are all recommended. Breakfast was good standard for the price. the location is not near the shopping street of maliboro, but we chose so, because we like it quiet. however, the Kraton and the water castle are nearby and also a "tourist area" where you find a lot of travel agencies and restaurants and a great ice cream store. some batik fabrics are also close. nice area to walk around :)

      Tropical respite ”

Beautifully manicured grounds away from the traffic grind. Waterfalls and fish pools abound with stepping stones to some of the rooms. More privacy on the top floors as the paths go in front of some of the doors. Lovely buffet breakfast though you may have to cross the small road to reach it if you are in the opposite complex. It is like two hotels across from each other, both with pools. Large rooms, cleaned daily with the all having outside sitting areas. Comfy clean bed with bathrooms containing all necessary toiletries. Bathrooms could use update, but great shower pressure and endless hot water! It is located in a great part of town within walking distance of Malioboro Road (20 min) and the Water Palace. Lots of great places to eat too.

We really liked the Hotel. It was in a good centralized location, but in a very quiet place with lovely details. We had our own little lake with fish and waterfall, we enjoyed the terrace and the daily little cakes after returning from our trip. :) The staff was very kind and helpful. The rooms are spaceous and clean and the pool nice and refreshing. Totally recommend this hotel. Good value for a nice price.
