Exceptional”
I really enjoyed the duta guesthouse. nice clean large room...lots of old style teak furniture. Water in the bathroom was not great tho but the bathroom also very large. I loved the pool and the freshly cooked omellette and juice in the morning...brought to the room balcony... excellent. There's a little piece of woodland behind... beautiful nature...and because the guesthouse is down a laneway there are no traffic noises. And it was great value with agoda. The hotel across from my balcony was costing ten times more

It was our first ever stay in duta hotel and it was awesome. You acn step in to the hotel without any preverification and enjoy your stay. The facility they provide is surely the value for money you spend. The reception people are capable of solving your problem at once.

Good value for money”
Lots to comment on bout this place. Mostly positive- you definitely get a lot for the price you pay- the place is in a good location close to restaurants and bars etc and just a 15 minute cycle to the centre. The room was very well laced and the general surroundings of the hotel were nice- lovely pool area with water feature. Lots of sofa/ lounging areas. There were lots of unexpected touches which made it a nicer stay/ even better value for money like tea and cakes at 6 pm every evening, bottles of mineral water in the room everyday. So well priced and breakfast included too! Normally for this price in other places, the breakfast is just toast and jam but this was a good breakfast with toast, tea coffee, fruit, rice, omelette and pancakes etc. The staff were very warm and friendly too. Only negatives would be our room was quite damp as it was tucked away with little fresh air/ sun able to reach it, the room could have been cleaner- was dusty and also the wifi was hit and miss but overall was pleasantly surprised with the place.

A decent place in Jogja”
This place is very decent, if a little old-fashioned. The decor in the rooms is slightly dated. However, it is clean, with a decent breakfast option and tea served to the room at 5:00 pm every day. The pool is quite large, though often occupied by noisy children. We were there during the World Cup, and the guest house turned on the games for everyone to watch in the common sitting area, which was a nice touch.

We had a very nice stay at Duta Guesthouse (fan room for three nights). Staff was very friendly and most of them good speak English very well. They helped us booking tours to temples and Bromo. We got a breakfast package when we left at 4 am. Other mornings the breakfast was good. The pool was nice. No noise from the street.

Nice hotel for a short break. ”
The economy rooms are basic and the fan is not powerful enough to provide much cooling in the hot nights but it's bearable. The hotel has a nice traditional style with lots of carved wood, paintings and nice little touches like wooden lampshades for the lights in the common areas. The breakfast buffet is very good for the price and recommended. The pool is the hotels best feature with a an artificial waterfall and crystal clear water. The staff were friendly and smiled at the guests. It can be hard to find friendly hotel staff in Indonesia so this is a definite plus . The pleasant interior and the greenery makes the hotel a good place to rest and recharge the batteries for a few days . There is even a small gym, though it is situated right off the main lobby, next to the kitchen, for some reason. A nice hotel for a short stay.

Hotel Duta Yogyakarta”
for the first time i arrived in Duta Hotel...i was a little bit surprised because its not like the other hotel that i have ever visited before. Duta Hotel more like home with the homey atmosphere and antiques ornaments that can easily find in every corner. The room is quite clean, the view is quite beautiful completed by a swimming pool. But, unfortunately, the employee are not so friendly...rare to smile and in the night sometimes there are guests who swim until very..very late and its disturbed me because i can't sleep but the employee of Duta Hotel did not do anything to warned them whereas there are a very clear rule that swimming pool can only use from 08.00 a.m until 08.00 p.m. and they swim at 00.a.m until 2.00 a.m....can you imagine that??? other facilities is quite well compare by its price but the menus for breakfast is almost the same for everyday...a little bit bored..:(

Great place to stay and good location”
We had a nice stay for 2 days at Duta Hotel. Very convenient location with many good restaurants and warungs nearby. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Pool was great to cool off in after a long day of sightseeing and the best thing was it was right out our door. Afternoon tea served up everyday on the house.

Best guest house ever”
We really enjoyed our stay here! Our room was great, we even had a small veranda. Free breakfast which was good and filling, free snacks too which were served in our room. When we left early for the sunrise tour they packed food for us. You can also book tours in the hotel for an affordable price. Near lots of restaurants and pubs too. Best of all the staff were kind and friendly. Would definitely book this place again when I return to Jogja. More than your money's worth!

frequent traveler in Indonesia”
I've stayed in all sorts of hotels over Indonesia. This was a very pleasant stay. I should say I had a deluxe room, but I found the facilities to be excellent. I've been staying in solo for two weeks before this and this was an indulgent, pleasant change. The room was beautifully appointed, I was treated to an afternoon snack delivered to my room, the Wifi was fast and reliable, there is hot water (most of the time), and the breakfast was lavish compared to the plain toast I get in solo. The location, in my opinion, is ideal. I prefer it to busyness of sosrowijoyo. Although prawirotaman is also busy with tourists, the hotel felt like an oasis with the beautiful gardens.

Great value well run hotel”
This was a nice stay in a budget hotel. It has big rooms ,a lot of character, great planting and a pool. The staff were really helpful and the breakfast was very good for this price point. There are lots of good places to eat, drink and relax nearby.

Everything was superb! - the only improvement that they may consider is to provide iron to the guests (doesn't necessarily to provide it at each room, maybe upon request or have it at a common area)

Location, calm & good breakfast”
The room was spacey with free wifi, cool, had bathtub with warm water and we had the one facing to the pool. The staff were very friendly, even when we asked an extra bed at 3AM. Thank you so much for your kind & great service! Also every evening they offered us tea & traditional snacks. The breakfast was varied and the price was better among the rest in Prawirotaman area. I would definitely stay here again & would suggest everyone to go here!

The Duta hotel offer good value amidst a nicely landscaped environment. The staff are friendly and the rooms are spacious, however the rooms are showing signs of ageing and maintenance could be improved.

Friendly Staff + Good Value ”
The ladies at the main reception desk were funny, helpful and friendly 😊 We would have liked to stay longer just to see them more 😊 They were able to explain and book the different tours easily for us. The hotel is in a great location with lots of great restaurants close by and it is easy to access the main city also from here. We stayed in the standard double room and it was great value for money, especially with the pool. Breakfast was the same as most other places eggs and bread, not much more but still...

Nice hotel, loud mosque”
I had a room on the second floor - AC, hot water, large and clean room, comfortable bed, nicely outfitted and clean bathroom. The typical threadbare towels that you get in most Indonesian budget hotels, but that means they dry quickly. The pool is small but very pleasant. Good breakfast - eggs any style, pancakes, fruit, toast, juice (including guava juice that most people seemed to ignore, maybe because of its pink color, but which is actually delicious), tea/coffee, and a rotating menu of Indonesian food - one day just fried rice and fried noodles, another day soto ayam, and another day very tasty gudeg. The only downside was the loud morning call to prayer at 4:30 and again at 5:30, but it's hard to find a hotel in a Moslem area that won't have that problem. The wi-fi was slow (sometimes too slow for accessing my internet banking), and didn't always reach my room, so sometimes I had to go downstairs to connect, but at least there was, much of the time, access to email and the web.

Good hotel, nice location”
We visited Duta again after 20 years and nothing really has changed. The rooms can absolutely use some new paint, but the garden setting, and spacious verandahs in the garden rooms are still a good thing about Duta. Breakfast is not the best, but still ok.

Great hotel ”
We have stayed here many times in the garden rooms and love everything about it. It is a traditional Javanese hotel with gorgeous gardens, amazing pool, great breakfast and awesome location. The staff are so helpful and friendly.
