My New Favorite in BKK”
Dynasty Grand is my new favorite hotel in BKK. You can pay a lot more and get a lot less. The value for the money is great. The hotel is clean and comfortable and has great facilities. The location is ok, not the best but ok. I now live in Bangkok but when friends and business associates come to visit I will suggest the Dynasty. I have paid twice as much and gotten far less. The front desk staff and house keeping are great. My only complaint is the limo service working out of the hotel. They are outrageously over priced. The Taxis across the street are not much better. The will not take you where you want to go on the meter and want high flat rates. The Taxi service in BKK is among the worse in the world. They appear to be governed by no rules or code of conduct. You MUST give them a destination and establish a price before you get in the Cab. If they don't like where you want to go, that is to say if the fee won't be high enough they will refuse to take you. Also be will to accept the reality that in Thailand there are two prices. One is the Thai price and the other is the non-Thai price, obviously much higher. Well, back to Dynasty Grand....I great hotel for twice the price!!!
Lovely hotel amidst the madness!”
I accidentally booked this hotel having been advised that the Nana hotel was a good value hotel. When we arrived in Bangkok we were dropped at the Nana hotel on the main junction. We went inside feeling pretty dismayed as it was a bit of a dive but were relieved when the concierge advised us we had the wrong hotel and we took a short walk to the Dynasty grand. On arrival we were struck by the modern, clean, well designed appearance. The staff were very friendly and were quickly taken to our rooms after a welcome drink. The room was clean and spacious with a good TV and DVD player and had a nice bathroom and good pool view. The location was on Soi Nana which is a bit of a sleazy street but good fun for a few drinks and the hotel is just off the main strip so you are not confronted with the sleaze if you would rather avoid it. It is also very close to the main sukhumvit road and Sky train station which gives excellent access to the local markets and other attractions, i.e MBK shopping centre. We had breakfast at the hotel both mornings that we stayed and it was delicious. The pool was nice and the gym was well equipped. Overall a very nice hotel and excellent value.
I was a bit hesitant to book this hotel in Nana...but no problem --it is located on a nice clean, quiet soi full of other new hotels (see map). The small soi (parallel to Sukhumvit Street) is only a 10 minute walk to Nana Sky train (escalator pass the first entrance of steps). (The busy part of Nana, such as soi 11, is on the other side of Sukhumvit. Rooms at Dynasty Grand are spacious, bed comfort is superior, nice pool, decent fitness room, and (I thought) the prices for beer and room service menu were not too expensive compared to other hotels. (Seven-Eleven near by) Another plus is that this is a medium size hotel so there are no annoying bus tours staying at this hotel. One can easily get off at Nana Skytrain station and walk to this hotel (10 minute walk). Safe area to walk to at night from Skytrain. Good Wi-Fi connection (free); pool entrance on 3rd floor; polite staff. Complaint: TV channels not the best.
Awesome Hotel close to everything!”
I have traveled all over Europe for the past month and ended up in Bangkok as a last minute thing. I found the Dynasty Grande by luck on the Agoda.com website and booked based on the reviews. I was not let down at all. The place was more than I could have asked for. The staff were kind and welcoming and also very helpful. I had a deluxe room by the pool (the pool is awesome by the way) I felt right at home immediately. Unfortunately I was only there for 2 nights. But the next time I stay in Bangkok this will def be my first choice. The price, quality and location is unbeatable. It is in the Nana district and very close walking distance to all the nightlife etc. I'm not sure I would recommend to women traveling alone or conservative couples however as it is close to all the action. But once you get to the hotel grounds it's a completely different world. Very relaxing and quite...I never heard a sound and had the best sleep of my month long trip. This is a great hotel and I can't wait to stay there again!
4 star hotel”
I would agree with the opinion of the Dynasty Grande being a 4 star hotel. But only just. This is not to say this is not a first class hotel because it is. Everything works. It has a well appointed gym. Rooms are spacious and clean. Nice pool and pool area and great value for money. Staff are attentive but in a 4 start hotel I would maybe expect the level of English spoken by them to have been a little better. This is my only minor criticism though as I had another wonderful stay here and will be back the next time I am in Bangkok. If you are looking for a well appointed hotel in the heart of Bangkok then look no further. In my opinion you will not get better than the Dynasty Grande in this price range.
All The Right Things In All The Right Places”
I was looking for an alternative to the Dynasty Inn, which is older and located right next to Nana Plaza. ('Have stayed there at the original Dynasty Inn many times.) I thought maybe something a bit further from the action and a little nicer. The Dynasty Grande fit the bill as expected. It's nicer/newer and in better condition. My room had a tub and a shower and looked out over the pool, which itself was nice. The hotel is located on that bit of soi 6 that is perpendicular to and connects with soi 4. So you can either walk up soi 4 or soi 6 toward Sukhumvit depending on you final destination. If you want to be able to stumble back to your room from a hard night out at Nana Plaza in just a few steps, stay at the Dynasty Inn. If your preference is something a little nicer, quieter and less frenetic, try the Dynasty Grande.
10/10 Hotel! One of the best Hotels I've stayed in!”
I spent 2 nights at the Dynasty Grande Hotel and would definitely recommend this hotel. I wish I had of stayed here longer. It is reasonably close to Nana BTS (maybe only a 5-7 minute walk) down Soi 6, in a quiet location. I was happy to walk here from Nana BTS, but others may want to get a taxi depending on the amount of luggage you have. The hotel itself is very clean (A+), the room was spacious, with a very comfortable bed and a nice bathroom and separate shower and bath. One of the most important things for me when traveling is having a nice shower after a long day in Bangkok and this hotel certainly provided this. The pool and gym were great and definitely one of the better gyms in a hotel I have seen. The staff were fantastic, with great English. Next to the hotel is a 7 Eleven and massage places and laundry, so very convenient. And if you want to party, Soi 4 is very close although I didn't spend much time there. 10/10 hotel!
Great hotel, but don't count on the wi-fi”
i stayed at the dynasty inn sister hotel, the dawin for a three day stay. last minute i realized that i needed to change my plans to stay in bangkok for another night. unfortunately, the dawin didn't have another night available so i booked at dynasty grande for the last night. upon checking in i was advised by front desk that the wi-fi didn't work well and did i want to borrow an internet cable to connect online. i borrowed the cable, but the plug outlet was loose so there was no way to connect so i gave up on an internet connection in this hotel. i remembered that the only reason i stopped staying at the grande was my previous problems with the wi-fi service. aside from this one issue, my stay was great. i simply had to walk several blocks away whenever i needed to log online.
Riga at nana”
I stay in bangkok on a regular basis and have a few favorite hotels I like to stay at. Dynasty grande is my favorite, it's new, it's clean, the staff are more than willing to help, it's in a part of Sukhumvit I like to visit for the bars, the food and fun, not to mention the shopping. the rooms are very clean with no outside noise or noise from other rooms. The hotel restaurant has very good food and reasonably priced. Just a short walk to the many bars and restaurants in Nana Soi 4 and just far enough to be out of the hustle and bustle of nana. Look forward to my next visit.
Dynasty Grande Nana Hotel”
The Dynasty Grande Hotel (Nana) is a pleasant 3 star hotel. The hotel staff is extremely courteous and check in uncomplicated. The rooms are modern and clean. The televisions in the rooms are slightly older than modern flat screens, but are outfitted with a DVD player. The beds are comfortable, the linen is simple, but spotless. The bathrooms are in excellent condition and clean. Bathrooms also include a separate bathtub and a shower. Internet speed in the rooms is good and is provided free of charge. The minibar is well stocked, but lacks hard alcohol. However, there are plenty of markets in the near vicinity that can accommodate you. The fitness room is outfitted with modern equipment and provides a nice balance between weight machines and cardio machines. The pool is large enough to do laps, and is rarely overcrowded. The downside is that the pool is largely shaded by adjacent buildings, so direct sunlight is limited to midday hours and there is no Jacuzzi. The hotel does not serve a breakfast buffet and the food at the hotel is mediocre at best. The Dynasty Grand is conveniently located to both Bumrungrad Hospital (15 min. walk) and the heart of Nana district of Bangkok (5 min. walk). The hotel is close enough to the hustle and bustle, but far enough away to not be troubled by the sounds of a busy city. Please note that this hotel is not ideal for children. My overall opinion of the hotel is favorable and would recommend this hotel.
Wonderfully open room, bright, modern, fun.”
after a very poor first night experience at a different hotel, we booked the dynasty at 10:30 am and they had us checked in by noon! the front desk asked how our stay was, and after telling them about our miserable night elsewhere, they even upgraded us one higher category, all with a smile! the rooms have spacious bathrooms, with big bright glass brick windows. the room had hardwood floors, and even a small reading cubby built into the window, with pillows. extremely comfortable mattress, and space, space space, to walk around! the only complaint i had was the lack of a long mirror so she could check her outfits, but after climbing on a small tv stand, and a few funny candid photos later, we were out the door to explore bangkok from the great location. set back on a quiet soi near soi nana and sukhomvit, the dynasty is hard to find for the first time, but once you get your bearings, its a simple block away from motorbike taxis and the hustle of lower suk. i will book this hotel again, with pleasure.
Another Awesome Experience! This place is the best”
My second time staying here at the Dynasty Grande. Had to book another stay in Bangkok for my layover flying back to the States. It's not too far from the airport, maybe 15 minutes or so. Easy cab ride or you can use their hotel limo. The rooms are super clean and everything is brand new. Big screen Hi def TV'S with English speaking channels, free wi fi, great swimming pool and an awesome restaurant. Not to mention the price! You just can't beat it. This will always be my first choice when staying in Bangkok.
best choice in town”
I stay in this hotel every time i go Bangkok and i never be disappointed. Big clean rooms, excellent bathroom with shower and tub and a lot of amenities. Very good swimming pool and gym. Hotel Restaurant is affordable and serves delicious international food. Staff is friendly and helpful, receptionists have very good english Language skills, which is not so common in Thailand. The hotel is located in a quite alley but near to the Nana plaza red light district and the more known malls like MBK and Siam Paragorn. Its a guest fiendly hotel, they check for your safety the id card of your overnight cuest. Would stay at Dynasty grande again.
Thumbs up for the Dynasty Grande”
A fine place to stay and I would not hesitate to stay there again. The hotel is located a short walk from the Nana BTS station, but being off from the main thoroughfares it is relatively quiet. The staff were excellent, from the receptionists to housekeeping. The pool is very nice, and I was impressed by the quality of the equipment available in the fitness center. The room I had was comfortable and quiet in the back building and on the third (pool level) floor. As the pool closes at 6pm, noise was not an issue at all. This was my first stay at the Dynasty Grande, as my "usual" hotel in Bangkok was booked up, and I would gladly stay at the DG again.
Great Hotel and Location”
I stayed for 2 nights at this hotel in January. This was my first time here and I must say this is an excellent hotel. I normally stay at The Dawin and have stayed at Majestic Grande and Suites and the JW Marriott before. I like staying in the Sukhumvit area because it is close to the skytrain and other attractions. The good things about the hotel is the size of the rooms. I had the lowest price room. It uses a key card which is nice. It came with a nice king size bed, a 2 person sofa, desk 32 inch flat screen. Many channels and very clean room. The wifi was free also, but you had to use the login and password everytime you turned on your computer. There was no good way to have your laptop remember it. I should also note there was a safe more my 15 inch laptop and valuable. The room also had a minibar with a bottle of complimentary water. The bathroom was big with a walk in shower and a bathtub next to it. The hotel is on Soi 6, I had a room in the back tower and there was no noise at night. I could see the pool from my room. The closet was clean and a good size. The nighstand had a electronic control for the room. It lets you control the lights and air conditioning right from your bed. The few bad things and these are no big deals. They ask for a 500 baht deposit when you check in. There was no problem in getting it back at the end of the stay. The wifi access was a bit annoying as I mentioned above. If you love shopping malls, then you will need to take the sky train or use a taxi. Hotels like Holiday Inn are within walking distance of shopping malls, this one is not that close, but I have no issues with using the sky train. I dislike using taxis in BKK. I was quoted 500 Baht to take me to the Southern Bus Station. When I found a taxi that used the meter, it was 200 Baht including tip. I only ate at the restaurant once, but it was good. It is a 5 minute walk to the Nana sky train. If you like bars and such, it is a 5 minute walk in the opposite direction.
Value For Money with Cozy Room”
We stay in Deluxe Room with Balcony (NON-Smoking) for 4 nights and below are my comment: 1. Value for money : 8.5/10 2. Location: 6-7min walking distance to BTS NANA : 9.0/10 3. Room: Cozy, Spacious, Clean & Large Toilet, Good Bed, Powerful Aircond 9.5/10 4. Facilities: Never use 5. Food: Never try 6. Only Cons: There are no travel agent/counter in this hotel which you can't buy the travel package. However, you can ask the receptionist and they will teach you to go the hotel with travel agent/counter which is within walking distance from Dynasty Grande Hotel. 5. Overall: Relax and Recommended 9.0/10
great stay at Dynasty Grand”
Spent 3 nights in Dynasty Grand, great location beside Na Na BTS station. Hotel was very modern & spacious & always spotless. Our delux room was persented very well, it was spacious, had all mod-cons a guest would need. Staff were plenty and always frendly & willing to help you with any enquiries you had regardless if ut was about the hotel or the area. i would recommend this hotel to anyone who wanted to spend some time in the center of bangkok without staying in a hotel where most of the guests seem to be 'one nighters'
Great Gym, clean room professional staff”
I always enjoy staying at the Dynasty Grande as it's perfectly located close to Nana and walking distance to the Bangkok Skytrain making it easy to get around Bangkok. The rooms themselves are very clean with nice bathrooms, in room safe and a very functional area to setup your computer and do work on their very high speed internet with is about 10 to 20 mbps and is very consistent. Not to be forgotten is the gym which is fully equipped with a lot of machines and the room service is good with prices that are not too bad.
quality hotel near nana plaza”
i've stayed at dynasty grande hotel a few times and never disappointed. the staff is courteous and considering the location the hotel is very guest friendly. it's a 7 minute walk to nana plaza for entertainment and equal distance to the nana bts (skytrain) station giving easy access to all of bangkok. a good hotel for business visitors due to the ease of access to skytrain and nightlife.
Dynasty Grande Inn -- Love It”
I've stayed at Dynasty Grande on four trips, and have been very happy with my stays. The front desk and bell staffs are always pleasant and helpful. Rooms, particularly the large ones in the front section, are more spacious than an average hotel room in Asia, allowing an area for sitting/eating as well as a work desk. DVD players in the room are very handy, for times when there's nothing good on cable (at least in English). Although the rooms are clean and modern, they could use some updating, in the way of new carpet and flatscreens. Still, I think this is a great hotel, especially so for the price on Agoda.
