Best during Summer, Worst during Rainy”
Plus - cheap accommodation (make sure to get the newly built rooms), courteous staff, good food, kids love the slide, nice shark attraction, there is a reef pool where you can swim if you dont like the open water. Minus - no ref, shallow pool, rocky beach, strong waves during rainy season Overall, this is best during summer for snorkeling / diving because water is clear as glass but worst during rainy season. What is the point of going to the beach if you cannot swim on it?

Exceptional”
We were here August 20-21 and again on August 27-28. For the second time, we visited Sepoc Island. I realized the P2,400+ cost of the boat ride from the resort to the island was way more than a 2go boat ticket to Caticlan port. The island had clean and deep waters. You will see some small fishes. The corals are mostly dead though.

Reef pool”
1. We wanted to swim in deep waters and see fish and other marine life. But the weather did not allow us to swim in the open waters. The reef pool provided us what we wanted.. depth, sharks and fish. 2. Our room was on the far end of the property so we had to walk a lot to and from the resto, pools and exit. But the great view of the sea made us forget our aching knees. The room was outdated but the view of the sea it gave us made up for this con. 3. The resort is far from the road. Actually it's hard to reach when you use public transportation. The traffic in Mabini is also another hurdle. 4. We didn't like the fact that a basic necessity was not provided by the resort though --- TOOTHBRUSH/PASTE. Also, I didn't notice if there was a lifeguard? 3.

Extraordinary experience”
A group of colleagues arrived there for a retreat. The staff is magnificent, the food and staff attention great; since we didn't eat pork and were vegetarians, they adapted to us in an amazing way, particularly Malu and her friends from the cafeteria met our diet needs. Thank you so much Eagle Point Resort

Sea View”
Many resorts advertise sea view. Our cottage sea view was right beside the sea. So you step out onto the terrace and see nothing but the sea. And we stayed during the low season when the waves come crashing onto the shore. With the sea sparkling from the sun, nature put on quite a show for us. The staff was very accommodating. Food was expensive. Probably because the resort is so remote. If you take public transportation, take the bus from Manila to Batangas Grand Terminal, then have the resort shuttle you into the resort. Snorkeling in front of resort was ok. Sepok Island has the sandy beach. The 2 outdoor pools along with the pool slide was fun for us. Plenty of room for everybody. We enjoyed our stay, but it was pricey.

Good for diving but not for relaxing”
We booked our hotel in Agoda a night before our check in. There was a portion where to put special request such as early check-in so we entered the arrival time which is earlier that the usual check in time coz we want to maximize our stay. We arrived early at around 7-8 am and to our surprise, we were asked to put our things at the reception area. By the time, we guessed there was no available room (they never bother to explain or try to check if we can do early check in by checking availability). They also did not even suggest any activities we can do while waiting, we decided by ourselves otherwise we could have just stayed at the reception for 6 hours! We went to their Sepoc Beach and paid for almost PHP 3000 plus the food around PHP 1300 for two while we wait. We checked in at 2pm (usual check in time) and slept until 6pm. Toiletries doesn't include any disposable toothbrush and toothpaste. You have to buy at their boutique which is no longer open around that time. I was so pissed coz travelers normally forget these things! Their shower needs to be renewed as it needed a long waiting time to get warm. They have no hair blower and telephone service. No food menu inside the room which made the room service useless. The networks (Globe and Smart) cant even get good connection and when we asked for Wifi password in the room, you will also get charged! Anyhow, their diving instructor, Sir Lito is a good one.

Cheap. But you get what you pay for”
My first time at Eagle Point. Stayed just 1 night, but it was 1 night too many. Cottage had no hot water the entire time we were there, despite our complaints. It also ran out of water while my daughter was still in the shower. There's no way to communicate with the front desk from inside the cottage except by mobile phone - would have been okay except that signal is so poor. The eating area has a nice view of the sea, but is FULL OF FLIES. Instead of lighting useless candles, the resort should install more electric fans and maybe install screens to keep the flies away. There are also spiders and webs under the eating tables and on the ceiling above the tables. Food is just okay. I've had better in other resorts in anilao. Staff are friendly and nice, but so are those in other Philippine resorts. Will not be coming back.

Staff are polite. The seaview from our rooms were ”
The rooms need some renovation. The doors has holes and feels unsecured. Ants are everywhere, crawling on walls of our room, on the bed . I killed a huge cockroach on our 1st day in the room. The aircon is broken. I booked 2 nights but decided to leave the place the next day. The water in the pool is dirty. It was a stressful stay. My husband ordered salmon for dinner, it was dissapointing. He took one Bite only and wouldn't try to taste for a 2nd bite. It was not a relaxing vacation.

Acceptable”
Dining area has decent amount of flies. Be ready to share your food with them. Staff said since they are on a beach flies can't be help. Food is not out of the ordinary. The place rate is high from what it can offer. Staff however are nice.
