Stayed in the single room as a sole traveller. Very clean including the bathrooms! Plus free breakfast, nothing fanciful, your usual toast, waffles, porridge, soup. Rooms segregated by gender, male/female rooms. Worth it if you are on a budget.

Worth value money, clean, staff friendly and good location”
The room is worth value for money. Although the room is quite small, but with the price given, it consider not bad. The location is great which is walking distance to Taichung Station. Downstair have a lot of buses which can go to Taichung THSR, Feng Jia and also Yi Zhong. Very convenient for free and easy traveller. The only problem with hostel is there are a Thai club above the hostel. Although the noise is still ok, but safety might be an issue for solo female traveller. Overall, is very great hostel.

Great Location, Fancy Coffee Machine & Clean!”
Great location just a short walk from the train station, clean, fantastic candies on the front desk counter (e.g. where can I buy the honey ones?) + a fancy coffee/machine & free snacks that I got my $’s worth out of! Bunk beds are big (w/ curtains) & the locker has a container w/ needed stuff (cup, towels etc). Only complaints: On weekdays, some of the bread etc at breakfast was stale / not many breakfast choices & the men’s toilet/shower room is a LONG walk from the rooms. Note: I stayed on weeknights in a room w/ a window, so I did not hear/feel much noise from the karaoke place. Some rooms may be a lot nosier per review complaints. Definitely will stay again the next time I am in Taichung!

The best experience I've ever had”
first off, I stayed in many hostel in my journal. compared to hostel in Japan. I honestly said that this is the best experience I've ever had. the reception clerks are sooooo friendly and handful. I will definitely come to 台中 and choose this one for sure. the only wrecked is the room's insulation but they provide the free earplugs for customer which is very warm. Thank you

Super clean room. Shared facilities was spacious and comfortable to use. Walking distance from Taichung station, bus stop right in front of hostel, which get you around Taichung city conveniently and free! Highly recommended for solo traveler.

Shocked when enter the building due to too many foreign workers gathering there and going up to the disco area at 12th floor. Overall in house facilities is okay for a night.

It's less than 10 min from the train station and located in an old building. But once you reach the hostel, it feels different. Staff are friendly and helpful. Bathroom is spacious and they air it constantly with fans. The whole place feels like a home instead of hostel.

Pros and cons”
Pros: AC good and cold, dorm beds comfortable and sturdy (not affected when neighbours move), breakfast decent (has ham, eggs, toast, corn), feels pretty safe (required to hand over room card each time u leave the hostel), toilet is clean. Cons: KTV upstairs (hear singing until about 5am), hot water shower seems to have some tempo (like 20 sec hot water 10 sec cold water and repeat), make sure not to get a bed facing the side as the wall could get quite warm from evening sun, bottom beds quite low such that the gap from the curtain means that people could still look in.

It served its purpose. It was clean enough and relatively comfortable. But I booked a single room and from the booking site it wasn’t clear to me that it was a shared bathroom and shower. I’m not a fan of that. Especially since for the same price or just a little more, you can get a decent private room with a private bathroom elsewhere in town. I probably will not go back to stay there, but it’s fine if you just need a simple place to stay and don’t mind sharing facilities.

Rooms and facilities were clean, the reception was friendly and helplful. I'd recommend it, my only complaint would be the location. Central district is close to the train station. But it's also slighty run down area and felt pretty far away from most bars and resturants.
