Eastside Cannery stay”
Stayed at this hotel several times and is always a winner. You will need a car to get around as it is not near the Strip. It is about 20mins drive and very straightforward. This hotel is located on Boulder Highway and is opposite a big Walmart superstore, many eateries, walkable distance to Sam's town casino which is next door. There is a local bus service that stops outside of hotel property to get you around. There is no coffee maker in the room but there is a 24hr coffee shop/restaurant downstairs in the lobby offering good coffee and has take away cups and carriers. There is a good swimming pool and jacuzzi on site. Security is one of the best as hotel has security guards on the casino floor, and the entrance of lifts to rooms and one has to put hotel key card in lift slot to enable lift to get you to the floor you require. Try to check in with Mr Orlando at the front desk. He is amazing and super friendly. He is excellent at customer service and nothing is too much trouble.
Value of Money”
Hotel location is a bit far from City and Strip, but it is much cheaper. If bright personal car, it is worth of money. If have no car, it is hard to go to city or strip. A lot of parking space. Quiet and Safe. There is extra charge for resort charge about 25 USD per night.
We love this Hotel. Rooms nice and big, clean, beds comfortable, refrigerator in room. Staff very friendly. Restaurant very good and good value. The only missing link? a coffee pot. Will definitely stay there again and again.
This facility opened in 2008. It was super at this time and offered most everything similar off strip casinos provided. Recently it was sold to Boyd gaming and has gone down hill. Currently everything has been closed, sports bar, buffet and bingo room. Leaving only one eating facility, and slot machines as the total entertainment. The rooms are nice and reasonable as with the pool facilities. If one chooses to stay here a car is necessary to travel to nearby casinos if you are looking for something besides playing slots.
Large rooms and clean. Folgers coffee only in fitness center. No Starbucks facility. Quiet casino. Go across the street to Longhorns for a great meal. Breakfasts are huge and under $6 for ham steak, eggs etc. Staff are nice and friendly. Sams Town is walking distance. Parent company plans to upgrade Eastside next year and hopefully bring back restaurants and other upgrades. Resort fee pays for security which was apparent all around the hotel both inside and out. Room was spacious but bed bounced everytime I turned over or on my side which kept waking me up. Internet was excellent in my room. I would stay again. Did not visit the strip in the 3 nights we were there as it was more a family thanksgiving visit. Glad their resort fee was lower than strip hotels as that is such a pain to be required to pay it. Hopefully as hotel upgrade the resort fee stays the same. (approx $20 day inc tax).
Large, aesthetically pleasing, clean rooms, beautiful view, comfortable bed, wonderful large soaker tub, large bathroom, quality building construction = quiet rooms. Shampoo & shower gel provided via self serve refillable containers (so you can use as much as you need). Plenty of free parking close to the building. The gentleman who checked me in was friendly and helpful. The only thing lacking was HBO on channel line up and perhaps an upgrade on the kleenex. Walmart is right across the street. I enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay here again.
Good value! Decent location and clean!”
We stayed 10/21-10/24. In short.. a nice New York New York quality room for 1/2 the price. PRO's.... To start, front desk was friendly. Players desk was friendly. PLENTY of security inside and out of the hotel casino, and 1 guard assigned to the guest room elevators. Elevators have secure access only with your room key card. We stayed on 12th floor in 1208. Clean and smoke free for us. Room was large, NO STICKY CARPETS HERE! Big plus! Room very clean, bed very comfortable, Small 2 cu ft fridge (hint: the temps is usually turned down to save power so as soon as you get in the room turn it all the way up 1st thing) worked well. Sort of lacking on power outlets at bedside (Hint: always bring some short power extension cables or wall power spliters). Hot water right away, big bath tub, good water pressure. GREAT ROOM! Casino is small compared to the big strip casino's... that made Con's Room uses central heat A/C setup, airflow was lacking. Solved that with a cheap box fan from Walmart.
Easy parking, good view, good location
Good value hotel off he Strip”
Have stayed here several times. Good choice if you have a car. Low resort fee makes it a plus. The hotel is modern and well appointed. Big soaker tub is a nice touch. Top of my list when I go to Vegas.
New and nice”
Property was clean and neat. Location is not close to the setup, no shuttle, but you can use Sam's campground shuttle next door. Did not get nonsmokking room, even if you ask, it depends on what they have avail. Restaurants are limited, but lite meals are available.
quiet stay ”
Great price for nice hotel with large size room. Away from the strip for nice quiet stay. Buffet is OK more selection would be better. Hotel nice looking outside with high floors. Would stay here again. Close to shopping mall.
Big clean room, free wifi, good food”
The hotel is quite far from strip but it is fine for me as we have car to move around. The room is big and beds are comfy. Free wifi in all room with no limit on number of user. I have breakfast at the hotel which is awesome and reasonable price. Service at the restaurant is great. i have great time here with my group which consist of elder and baby.
Great Hotel and Accommodations”
I would like to say I had a great time at the hotel. The staff were courteous and friendly, the restaurant had what i wanted, breakfast morning, noon and night. Would love to come back in the near future. The only issue I had was it was way too far from the strip and no taxi would come near it. It took me 2-3 hours to wait for a taxi even though I had called reservations for it.
It is a great casino away from all the action of the strip. The buffet was pretty good. I recommend getting a car and staying here rather than a big casino on the strip so you can have access to all that Vegas has to offer.
Original room had many faults, second room fine, quite clean, and roomy.”
The price was very good and location suited our needs, but not really near anything of interest. well lit parking lot with bike patrols. Casino unbearably smoky and two of the restaurants were shuttered. Rooms were clean and roomy. Fitness room a joke and was where you had to go for coffee...nothing in rooms.
Beds were comfortable. Maintenance needed though.”
Arrived late at night and needed more blankets for the kids. Had to wait at least 45 minutes to get them. SUPER clogged drains in shower and sink which we requested be cleared. Maintenance man came pretty quick and was nice. Unlabeled soap dispensers in shower-so ended up washing hair with hand soap. Beds were comfortable.
Horrible Security very basic hotel”
Fitness room is to cardio rooms abs that’s it. Have to show keycard every time you try to access your room. Aggressive and rude security. Unprofessional security supervisors. On the bad part of town treat you like an inmate. Disgusted by the experience. Never coming back not worth it.
Great bang for your buck.”
The price for the rooms we had and the cleaniness/customer service is what took the cake. The bad thing about there hotel is that the fitness room is not what I expect, just three cardio machine's and no weights. Really need to upgrade the fitness center if you ask me.
Front desk staff wasnt very friendly and didnt explain anything or give details of the hotel and casino. Which working at a 5 star resort was dissapointing. Rooms were great, very clean and great amenities that some others nearby did not offer such as a large tub and small fridge. Overall great experience. Wish there was more food options within the hotel as we had our son and did not want to venture to the casino side. Also lack of room service was not a huge deal but for days you just want to remain in bed and relax on vacation would come in handy. Loved the view and overall enjoyed the stay.
