Nice Location, Near Food Street”
I love that the hostel is near Dōtonbori and to subway stations.
Not for tall people ”
Capsule is small, very small, no space provided for personal things, no hook to hang anything. You need to sleep with your things around you. Also TV is cabins are without headphones, so it can be a bit loud if someone is watching. Location on the other hand could't be better!! Is clean and friendly, but as a tall person I didn't have good night sleep.
A must have experience”
sleeping in a cube is a great experience but it it not for everyone.. if you want a budget and simple bed with great shower facilities.. this is the place for you... you must experience it at least once if you are in Japan
Great location. Very clean. If you’re staying for the night only, this is perfect!”
Very clean and modern facilities. You have to leave in the morning and can only return at 5pm, so I wouldn’t stay here if I was in Osaka for more than 1 night. But it was perfect for me because I had to leave in the morning to Kyoto. The staff had minimal English, but that’s expected.
capsule bed will be small if your height is over 175cm and there will always be a guy that will snore a lot. so if you can overcome all of this and somehow manage to sleep then i would recommend this hotel to you. its also cheap and they always clean the beds. and you have to check in check out everyday but its really simple
The staff is great, very helpful and friendly. The hotel is okish, but the massive turn off is even if you stay more than a night, you have to check out at 10am and check in after 3pm only. You change capsule bed every day, cannot take showers or use facilities during this time frame, and cannot even get inside at all between 2 and 3pm. I would not go there again.
Good for a night's stay. The place is very clean. Each capsule is allocated a small locker in the room and equipped with all the basic toiletries, towel and bathrobe. I personally think that the capsule is a bit warm but still ok. Not sound proof, can hear other guests zipping and unzipping their bags. There is no luggage storage in the room, the lockers allocated in the room is small. So we have to keep our luggage in the open space at the common area beside the reception desk.
Location bit far from stations but close to tourist attraction and eating Not much amenities . Biggest negative was having to check out every day by 10am and not able to reenter till 3pm So if you forget or need something, you are out of luck Also room on agoda showed $18 per night but ended up about $23 per which was asked for every check in although credit card was taken when I made reservation.
my first capsule hotel experience”
a 10-minute walk from the Shinsaibashi station..short walking distance to Dotonbori and Shinsaibashi-suji..they provide towels, shampoo and body soap, bathrobe..your capsule room has a mini-tv,radio,and alarm clock..i had a comfortable stay, would come back again for my next Osaka trip.
Good bang for the buck; the all-foreign staff could be nicer”
One of the cleaner capsule hotels I've experienced in Japan. There was no place to store your suitcases so they lay all around the isle! Tho I'd mostly blame the other guests for making it even more of a mess. The staff I came across during check-in (which was messy) were non-Japanese so no Japanese hospitality for me. Do book early to enjoy discounts.
This is a capsule hotel which caters mainly for tourists, evident from the lack of Japanese salarymen that you can see frequent these types of joints. Location wise really nice as it is located just steps away from Dotombori (Glico Man) and also the massive Shinsaibashi shopping area. Bathroom are of private type, not onsen type like other capsule joints. So in terms of authenticity of your experience with a capsule, it is a notch down. But If you are not keen on Japanese public baths, this is a good choice to try their capsule hotels. Had a good stay.
Just a quick stopover ”
Didnt feel the need to stay anywhere fancy during my 2.5 days in Osaka so stayed here. I am 193cm or 6'4" so kind of difficult to say it was comfortable, but it was enough. Shinsaibashi right down the road 5 minutes which was awesome. Train station fairly close by also. I would stay again depending on my purpose of trip.
Good for a night in Namba.”
I only stayed for one night - it was comfortable and clean. Stayed on the second floor for girls only. The only thing I didn't like about it was that check-in is strictly at 5pm and check-out at 10am. Between 10am and 5pm you cannot go up to your capsule. So if you plan to stay there for a few nights, don't expect to get to comfortable. However, I'm not sure if all capsule hotels in Japan are like this. Either way this place was great and definitely a more budget friendly option for a trip to Osaka. Would recommend.
interesting experience at a capsule inn”
a very interesting experience as it was my first time in a capsule hotel. generally like any backpacker's hostel just that each bed is within a small enclosed capsule. very good location, right in namba area, easy access to all the good food. value for money, cheap, clean and comfy. only issue was with luggage storage post check out, as check out time is at 10am, and luggage has to be stored in the lockers provided at 200yen each (still cheaper than storing at train station lockers though)
value for money, good location”
interesting experience of a capsule hotel. only limitation was that check in started at 5pm and for storing luggage post check out at 10am, you have to store in a locker which costs around 200yen per locker. otherwise generally a very good stay
Very comfortable bed and air-con need to pay.”
The room is very small, but the bed is very comfortable. Stuff are very friendly. And location is fantastic. However, air-con need to pay for, and not lift, as it's a budget hotel, its just like what you expect. I will consider to stay again besides summer time.
It's comfortable enough to use hotel facilities alone. But sometimes too humid to asleep.”
If you are solo traveler in Osaka, and if you want low charge to take a rest, this eco-cube Shinsaibashi is fit in your plan. I do recommend this cute hotel.
Value for money, good location. The staff there might not be fluent in English, but trying very hard to understand the customer's needs. Need to check in & out every day if you stay for a long period
Its a capsule hotel, not much to expect. The public space was small and was super close to the locker area and the check in area so it smelled of feet. They were using a CRT TV that did not have working speakers and there was no earpiece jack to listen to. There were no USB ports so had to use charging ports and stuff which made they already small space messy.
Cheapest accommodation in the heart of Osaka”
So many shopping / food outlets / night clubs nearby and easy subway access to other parts of Osaka. Strict cleanliness policies and friendly staff. Minimal in terms of facilities but suitable for basic needs.
