Great place
A bit out of town, but cheap to get to places. Take one of the sintows (they might try to rip you off but it should cost less than 50 baht). Beautiful location. Lots of green space and little areas to just hang out. Pool was nice and clean. Bathrooms were kept clean (surprisingly, since so many people use it). Bed was comfy and sheets were clean. Good complementary breakfast. :) Not a big fan of the short haired lady at the front desk. Asked if she could order a taxi to the airport for me and she says it's a 10 min way. 20 min later, a taxi drops people off and since I'm tired of waiting, I get on, only for her to let the taxi driver something in Thai. Taxi driver won't let me get on.... 30 min later, fed up, I start walking away to catch my own and a taxi stops by the gate of the hotel. Great, I get in. Not so great. He wants to chat with the lady at the front desk... Pretty sure they're running a scam as I was overcharged...

Greenery Location
My 4th times staying at Eco Resort Chiangmai. (26-29/8/16) Services are good and now is low season less guests. The only problem is that the wall of the room is not sound proof. I can hear the next room voices when they are talking, taking a shower or flushing the toilet. On Sunday at 1.00am, some guests were talking loudly by the poolside and it disturb my sleep. I got up and asked them to lower their voices. ( I' ve been working in the hotel industries for more than 20 yrs from Shangri-la to Four Season) so I would give 7.5/10.00.

A very enjoyable experience. Looking forward to come back.
Pros: - Very friendly and helpful staff. From the front desk to the cleaner. - Good size shared room with single bed with lockers and shared bath room (outside). - Not too far from the Muang Mai fresh market (about 20 minutes walk). - Not much noise even though the property is next to a major road. - Nice sounds of nature during the day (birds) and night (frogs and grasshoppers) - Spacious shared community bath rooms with tiled showers. Outside the main dorm building but covered and build to a high standard. - Desk with a comfortable chair in the room. - Very good, speedy and stable WiFi. - Plenty of parking spaces for scooters, motorbikes and bicycles. - Very nice property with a lot of palm trees and green areas. Cons: - Relative far away from the old city. About 40 minutes walk one-way. I've stayed at the Eco Resort Chiang Mai for 2 nights from July 10th, 2016 to the 12th. The check-in went very well. A very nice lady at the front desk checked me in. She need to move a female guest from my room to another because the lady in the room didn't want to share with a male stranger :-). The process took about 10-15 minutes. The front desk lady showed her concern that I needed to wait so long but I assured her that I was happy to wait because I was not in a rush. I went to my room in the dorm building once she gave me the go-ahead. I found the room immediately and was pleasantly surprised. Nice single bed, desk with a comfortable chair, a large locker, large window. I've had two very good nights at the Eco Resort. At night the frogs and grasshoppers were creating nice ambient sounds which allowed me to sleep very good. The outside shared bathrooms are very nice, modern and build to a high standard. They get cleaned everyday and there is also daily room cleaning service. The cleaner was very friendly and polite and finished his job very quickly. I've thanked him enthusiastically. I've made use of the very nice desk with a comfortable chair, the locker and the very good

Quiet place
It's a really nice resort if you go with friends/family. As a solo traveller it was a little dull. Also the main reason I booked here was the pool...but it was closed for a wedding the whole first (of 2) days here. It is quite a long walk to city center and any kind of liveliness. The second day a large group of teens checked in for some sort of camp and it was very noisy. Because it is such a green and gardened place the mosquitoes were pretty bad..room a/c in the dorm wasn't great.. But best shower I've had in thailand. So hot and great water pressure. Cafe food out front was way better and cheaper than the restaurant. All in all, decent but not great for a solo traveller.

Noisey but good large pool for the price
The pool, the gardens, the staff (especially the friendly cleaner and very smiley woman in the restaurant)
Faded glory, but charming garden, great size pool and ok twin room. The main problem was that the corridors were very sparse and so echoed a lot. The doors needed dampening, more signs to keep the noise down. The very loud group of americans were completely unaware of the impact their conversations were having on other people trying to enjoy the venue.

Nice and clean with a great pool
Smokefree around the pool! Great! The pool is nice and clean and the loungers are good. Nice garden.
Very relaxing getting out from the city. Nice bed linen and a beautiful garden. I really appreciate that there are designated areas for smokers, so they are not everywhere. Very nice to be able to breathe while sunbathing by the pool. Breakfast buffet not refilled fast enough.
