No Carpet which is Great! Location is Great as well, don't have to go so far to find different options for food. I feel they should make the nightly rate cheaper for longer stays, other than that Book a room if you need it.

The price was cheap for the night. I guess we get what we paid for but the pictures showing the hotel are not similar to the rooms. We had a really really bad bed in our room and the covers had some hairs and stain. Horrible for an hotel. At least be clean

Low price, but it seems like Choice Hotels would have higher standards.”
Carpet smelled like bad foot odor or pet urine. They aren't all like this, because my brother was in another room with hardwood floors and no bad smell. IF YOU "MUST" STAY HERE, BE SURE TO ASK FOR A ROOM WITH A HARDWOOD FLOOR. The furniture in both rooms was outdated and very worn. Our chair fabric was worn and stained. The bathroom was tiny. Twice, we needed help with the TV. The first night we arrived, one of the owners came right up and found that the infrared receiver was behind the dresser. Days later, there was no signal. He tried to stall for about 45 minutes by telling me he had to call his "boss" (family owners), and then that the satellite repair man had to come fix it. After he realized I wasn't buying it, he came up and fixed it easily. Why not just do that, instead of the stall tactics? They charged all 7 nights to my card in advance. I'm not sure that I had agreed to that when booking on line. They'll explain it all, I'm sure....

1. BIG motel. Available seating in breakfast area has little seating. We went to McDonald's nearby. 2. When we couldn't comprehend tv channel line-up and called office, they said "Oh the list in our Info booklet in your room isn't right. YOU can come down to our lobby and we'll give you the correct list." Whaaat???

- Your standard fare budget hotel. Windows slide open, which is good for fresh air. - Des Moines is a big suburban sprawl and this place is close to the highway...location is fine. - Rooms are kind of old, carpet all over the place...again, your standard American budget hotel.
