Staff was great, super accommodating and helpful. Everyone was nice and happy. Room was spotless and very nice, recently updated. Awesome value for five minutes from beach.

S'ok, but suspect there are better at same price point”
This is an older motel, and it's fraying around the edges. The staff was helpful and polite, and the continental breakfast was on par with other budget hotels. But maid service skipped a day, and we were constantly stopping by the desk to ask for something or other either missing or empty. In-room refrigerator, but single ice machine on the other side of the hotel. I suspect there are newer, better-operated properties available in the off-season at comparable price-points.

Even renovated rooms terrible; Asst. Manager rude and arrogant”
I spent 30 minutes being sent to wrong room by a newly hired desk person. The Asst. Manager sat in her office refusing to assist until I demanded it and then got nasty with me. I asked for her name so I could report to Choice Hotels, but refused. Yet she demanded my photo ID. When I finally got into my room it was shabby and had an old tube TV from the dinosaur age. Throughout the stay the staff were moving furniture from rooms next to me and below with loud noises. The put all the chairs, tables, dressers in the parking lot (I took photo). I notice when I checked out they had lowered their price to $49.00 (less than I paid) and I guess they are desperate for guests. But, if they want guests they need to treat people with respect. The desk person named Shannon was polite, apologetic. When she is trained she should be the Asst. Manager. I wonder, if this is a franchise family business, it was not run up to Choice Hotel standards.

cruddy carpet with dozens of cigarette burns... nasty odor, snappy front desk... spring poking me in bed... dilapidated at best! not worth the money... breakfast was just waffles and stale donuts no fruit no eggs... property was littered, was there a few days, no attempt to clean stairs, walks, lot. Would not stay there again at 1/2 the price, rather sleep in the truck!

The information ion online was very misleading- I had thought this was newly renovated- not the case in our first room! I had to ask more than once for a different room , since there was no water in our room, and it had several flies in it.. If that didn’t creep me out, the next issue was just nasty -the ‘fluffed up’ pillows and sheets were clearly not changed, as there was hair and make up on them! When I asked to change rooms I was told I could come back later on that day and see if there was anything available. After I asked again and said the room was completely unacceptable, they were able to find “ the last room left”. It had clean sheets, but it was still not in good condition- walls were crumbly and the outlets were loose in the wall! And the shower was moldy. And my room was non- refundable. I will probably never go to an Econolodge again. .... I had to give 1 star to submit!

Needs an Overhaul”
The concept of a budget hotel nearby to a beach and tourist attractions is appealing to many. However, this hotel is in dire need of upgrades and pest control. The exterior walkways need to be enclosed and renovated for hygienic purposes and to prevent bugs from flying in the rooms. The interior rooms' bathrooms need to be painted and renovated as they are outdated and somewhat dirty. The rooms are infested with roaches and require an extensive pest control and the sealing of the crevices and holes that are the gateways for these pests. Also, the internet service needs to be improved upon with workability, strength and bandwith. The hotel has potential but corporate needs to invest money on rehabilitation of the rooms and common areas, consistent pest control, sealing crevices in ceilings and walls, and improve the internet wi fi service. Front desk staff were helpful and made every attempt to assist.

Rusted bathrooms, smelly air conditioning, beat up wall. I thought it might have been spit on our wall.! The staff was very nice and astute. The business really needd to remodel. The mattress caved to the center. Walls have chipped paint. The TV's were a joke. I hated to sit on the furniture. The staff was nice in spite. Sorry.

Econo Lodge - Rehoboth Beach”
Accommodations were excellent! Having a pool to cool off in after hours at the very sunny beach (Yazzzzz) was fantastic! Nice room with 2 double beds, a refrigerator, a microwave, small wall mounted TV, and air-conditioning was all we could ask for for a short getaway. Staff could have been a little better versed in where good food locations were and the continental breakfast wasn't continental at all - breads, cereals, and coffee/maybe tea. We found the Greenman Juice Bar & Bistro and had a fantastic breakfast!!! 👏 Would definitely come back!

Moldy bathroom; cracked grout; holes in curtains; saggy mattresses. Not impressed. Wished we had paid little more and gone for the 1st place we looked at. It was late and we were tired so didn't argue the point.
