Good location but really not value for the price”
The staff are helpful and the location is really great. However, it’s old and not clean.

Worst hotel we've stayed in”
Staff was friendly but the room was dirty, tv cords hanging everywhere, hair on the floor in bathroom (wasn't ours), dirty rug, no water pressure so we couldn't shower. Spent $500 for 2 nights and it was not worth it. The response when we said we couldn't take showers was " yeah I don't know what's wrong with the water here." Definitely would not recommend anyone, especially traveling with children.

Not a wise decision!”
Just AC was working in the room. All other electrical outlets, TV, lamps, dryer were not working. When I mentioned that to the staff member, he told me that no other rooms are available and I have to contact manager if I want to discuss more on the topic. Obviously, manager was not there and he/she did not even respond to my email even to apologize for the inconvenience. I will never stay there even if I have to pay more for other places.

Great Staff and LOCATION! LOCATION!”
We spent a week n this modest but cimfortablel hotel. It is an older hotel but it is very clean. The rooms are not big but this is New York. The staff were friendly and obliging. Yaw in particular with his lovely smile went out his way to ensure we had a comfortable stay. All the staff whether is was the housekeeping or the general staff, NEVER failed to smile and greet us. The complimentary breakfast was more than adequate. Coffee, tea and iced water were available 24/7 with an ice vending there for your use. The location was great. The hotel is so central with the tourist buses close by. To be able to walk out of your hotel door and be in Times Square was perfect for us. Traffic noise was not a problrm. The hiotel is in a side street and there is traffic moise but not rnough to disturb your sleep. The hotel also supply you with ear plugs shoukd you need thrm. We did not. We would most certsinly return to this hotel when next in New York!! Great value for money!

Best value for Money ”
I absolutley loved my stay at the Econo Lodge. The Staff are so friendly..they are there 24/7 ready to help you at anytime. The location is perfect and cetrally located to everything you willever need in New York. Their security measures is great, and their free breakfast and internet made it such a great value for money. The rooms are a bit small, but the property makes up for it in the service, the security, the location and the free internet and breakfast.

Very good”
I have been the first time in New York for attending the Forun Working Group on UNFF where was held at UN Headquarters. Luckily, I selected the right accommodation at Econo Lodge Times Square New York with easy to access to shopping, relax and restaurants, ...especially near my meeting place, UN HQ.

Location near to Times Square”
this was my first stay in nyc and it has given me a good experience to stay with econo lodge times square. location is very closed to times square and subway station and others tourist spots. in addition, the staffs there is very friendly & helpful to guide me for the places that i want to go. apart from that, the condition of the room is clean and comfortable. however, there are things need to be improved as such: air-condition is quite loud when turn it on, the breakfast has not much variety, wifi connection is very slow. overall, i'm quite satisfied the stay with econo lodge times square!

Location great, clean facilties, freindly staff”
Its very simple- location is fantastic, the price is right, and the clean rooms and the friendly staff make this a super value. Yes, the rooms (standard queen) are small. But when we go to NYC we spend next to no time in our room. For us its about location, cleanliness, and good customer service, and Econo Lodge delivers on all fronts. Things to consider- its NYC so expect sirens at all times of the day. We bring a noise machine with us and that really helps. pack what you need, because space is constrained so medium size luggage would be best. There are many places to east and drink all around within 5 minutes walk, close to subway, close to times square.

Great budget hotel!”
We stayed at the Econo Lodge for 6 nights. Location couldn't have been better with Times Square in sight as well as Broadway theatres, great places to eat and drink and good shopping. Also very close to multiple hop on and off buses. The room itself was basic and very small but clean and all you need whilst in NYC. Our only complaint was an issue with heating. The room was often like a sauna with staff members being the only ones able to turn it down. We asked three nights in a row and one night slept with the window wide open and the air con on when it was snowing outside and we were still hot! After 3 days the issue was resolved. Basic breakfast with paper plates and cutlery but we didn't realise this was included so was a bonus for us! Not many tables to sit at either as breakfast is in the Lobby. If you aren't after glitz and glamour this hotel is a win. Great value for money as a hotel room isn't where you want to be in NYC!

Friendly service, but beware when ordering a cab!”
For around a night per person, this place offers superb value for money if you're in New York to see Broadway shows and to visit a lot touristy places. Our room was tiny though, but we didn't care cause we only went to our room to sleep, and it's very clean at least. They serve complimentary breakfast, but it's a very simple fare. However, they have a constant supply of coffee and tea in the lobby, and a wide range of tea at that, which is great as a quick warmer (especially in the winter!) There's also high-speed wireless internet, but it works sporadically, so don't rely on it for anything important. But it works well enough for email and social networking, so can't complain. The front desk staff is probably the friendliest I've seen almost anywhere in NYC, and was the most pleasant part of the trip. They were quick and efficient, and certainly exceeded my expectations. However, as per the heading, if you're asking the hotel to book you transit to the airport, you have to be quite sure and clear of what you want! We asked for a cab, which in NYC offers a guaranteed flat fare of $52 to JFK (plus tolls), but what the hotel ordered for us was a limo service (at no point was I told I'd be getting a limo until it arrived at 4.30 in the morning). This starts off at $65, and then the sky's the limit if you let the driver pile on the extra costs (there's no sign anywhere clearly stating the fees). He ended up trying to charge us $65 + $8 credit card fee + $10 for a stop (my partner and I were travelling on different airlines). He also tried to get us to pay him BEFORE he had made the trip. Absolutely dodgy and horrendous. In the end, we paid only the $65 + $8 because I stood my ground, but it was a terrible last impression of our relationship with the hotel. Overall, I'd still recommend this place for a stay, but you have to be on your toes for certain parts of it.

Great location!”
Location, location, location! This little gem is close to EVERYTHING we needed to go to while in NYC. We walked everywhere, watched 6 shows in 3.5 days. Rooms are tiny, but we expected that since it was New York. And in the middle of everything. Breakfast was simple but ample. Bagels, muffins, granola bars, pound cake, toast, coffee. Would stay here again for sure!

The best location for a reasonable price”
I was sooo lucky to choose thos hotel! the location is absolutely perfect - 2-3 minutes walk from Times Square, Broadway, Theartes, metro station (direct line to JFK airport) and nice restaurants. The hotel itself is rather small but very nice and clean. The breakfast insluded in the room fee is a nice addition to all the other advantages. The rooms are small indeed but it was absolutely fine for me, I could easily fit in with my suitcase. The bed was very comfortable. The only this I would suggest to upgrade is a window in the room - it has rather low sound protection from the street. From the other side even being in your room you do not forget that you are in the middle of NY city :) Anyway I really suggest this hotel for those who looks for good and simple service in a great location!
