Lovely island getaway”
My husband and I escaped from Bangkok to Samui for a long weekend, and our time at the Eden Beach Resort was exactly what we needed to relax and unwind. The grounds are beautiful and our deluxe villa was so well done...very traditional Thai. The French owners took very good care of us, and the staff was extremely well trained and attentive. We loved the food - huge portions, so be careful how much you order! - and the wine list was great. The Eden is a short walk to Bophut Fisherman's Village, and a 20-minute cab ride to the airport, so the location could not be better. Overall, very highly recommended!
Lovely little gem along Bophut Beach ”
This is a lovely resort tucked away but directly on Bophut beach and just a short stroll into Fisherman’s Village. We stayed in a deluxe bungalow and we so pleased with it. The breakfast in the morning you have to pay for separately but it was absolutely delicious and worth every penny. We loved our stay here and would definitely recommend it to anyone staying in Bophut and we will definitely stay again. Our only negative comment is that the bar closes so early in the evening. It would be lovely to enjoy a drink on resort overlooking the beach and to Koh Phangan in the distance after coming back from Fisherman’s Village in the evening.
Lovely location at the far end of the beach beyond where the road ends... this makes it peaceful, but you have to walk about 20 mins up the road to get to the Fisherman's village. It's not a particularly easy walk up the steep beach with very grainy sand. The room was nice, a.c. worked well, although there were a lot of tiny ants. Main disappointment was the catering... breakfast was ridiculously expensive with very little choice, and dinner didn't have much choice either. I ate most of the time in the new resort next door (run by Karma Sutra) which was still having the accommodation built during April 2019, but the restaurant and pool there are beautiful and the menu is much more extensive.
nice little boutique hotel ”
The Eden Beach resort was smaller than I had expected, it is quite a narrow property, but I think it is really pretty. It is filled with lush garden so you feel that you are in a tropical location. Pool and eating area were lovely. Good wifi. Rooms were really pretty and spacious. Position is little too far from fisherman's village to walk, so you need a scooter to get around. Wasn't overly impressed with the restaurant, limited menu and quite pricey. Although the Caesar salad was quite nice so can recommend that meal. The main issue I had was that the counter in the bathroom was always covered in very small ants (even straight after the room had been cleaned - so I felt I was the only one killing the ants on a daily basis and they weren't been treated properly by housekeeping). Sometimes we had to prompt the room to be cleaned (when we were out all day and came back in the afternoon to find it untouched) yet they were waiting at our door on the day we were checking out.
Eden on Earth”
We stayed in a deluxe bungalow. Bed was really comfortable. Room was cleaned every day and fresh towels were provided even when you didn't put them on the ground. Hot shower. We could check-in at 11.30 AM and immediatley go to the bungalow. Pool area is very beautiful and clean with a perfect view over the ocean and Koh phangan on the other side. Toilets were also clean. Breakfast a bit expensive for Thai standards but the quality was excellent and therefore well worth the price. Staff was very friendly and accommodating, especially Joy from the reception. Motorbike rental is optional at the reception for good price. Location to Bophut village is excellent. Only a couple of minutes by motorbike or 15 minutes walk. Recommend.
very beautiful and lovingly furnished bungalows. Very clean. Very uncomplicated to rent a motorbike in a very good condition. Very friendly staff.
Excellent little resort”
Great location, excellent hosts and staff, fantastic food. Will be back.
This was a very cute and intimate hotel. The bungalow was clean and well decorated. We did not have hot water the first day we arrived, but this was fixed by the evening. The gardens surrounding the rooms are beautiful, and it feels like you are in the jungle. The pool and beach have nice lounge chairs and umbrellas and the pool itself was great. The restaurant had good food, but it was pretty expensive. We were also disappointed that breakfast was not included in the price - this seems like a simple upgrade for the hotel. Overall, we would return to this hotel.
thank you so much for your nice review, and thank you for staying with us.
Accommodation and facilities were fantastic. Restaurant served great food and wine. Staff was very helpful arranging transfers to airport and ferry. Couldn’t be happier - great value and excellent location!
thanks for your nice review, so pleased that you enjoy your stay
The resort is not on the main road, have to take the sub-road then you will see the paradise. Nice beach plus swimming pool and jacuzzi which open till late. You can relax after the kids gone to bed. All Bungalows are unique by style and around with plants for your privacy. Unfortunately our bungalow got something wrong with the shower drain. Was not drain propery. Only small thing to fix then it will be PERFECT!
A Chic Boutique resort”
Eden is situated within walking distance of Fishermans village. Its a very slick French style resort and cuisine with not too many bungalows set in beautiful gardens so to be not too busy. The restaurant is situated right on the beach next to the glass sided pool so great for the kids to play whilst the adults socialise and take their time with meals,,,,. Great Location...:)
Sweet and Stylish”
Eden is a small and stylish family run resort within walking distance of Fishermans village. The Food is French/Asian Fusion with a twist and a very stylish restaurant. It has a glass walled pool facing the Ocean. A very charming resort...will definitely be back
Stylish, boutique resort stay.”
I really enjoyed my stay here. The pool was great, there was a nice crowd/energy there, plenty of sun loungers and great food and drinks. They play music around the pool - it's a nice vibe. Fantastic food and the room was spacious and well-appointed. We had the room closest to the pool and reception and had no problem with noise. It's only a small property, so it's quite an intimate feeling. The gardens were beautiful and no complaints about the service at all.
I really loved my stay there and will most definitely recommend this place. It is not often that I find a small boutique hotel with exceptional value for this price class, but this place scored high for me. Nice beach, great food, unique design. My only complaint is the long walk to the front desk upon arrival. Even though you can call for assistance, I don't like to wait.
Very Nice Intimate Place”
This is a small 20 bungalow place. Small French, kinda like a B+B at the beach (breakfast NOT included, but 200-250BT and delicious) It is very french both in style and the guests, but french know good food, good style and locations. Felt like a small private Club Med. The staff was great and very helpful, thank you. I look forward to going back.
Our stay was very nice. The staff was very friendly but it's a pitty that we cannot say the same about the management. We had the impression that the French guys were not interested in talking to us. Also was the breakfast, which is not included in roomprice, rather expensive for what you got.
A truly superb venue ”
It was a very memorable and a nice place to stay, the bungalows were superb, the staff French and Thai were all very attentive and nothing was too much trouble for them. The food served at eden beach is absolutely gorgeous and would recommend it. Set in a fantastic location right on the beach, a nice swimming pool if you do not fancy the sea.
Nice small hotel complex on the beach, good value ”
We enjoyed our stay at the Eden Beach Bungalows, on the beach and a small quiet complex. The only downside was the amount of flies that get into the bathroom area. Good value for money. The entrance road needs some attention.
Always good. Beach club restaurant one of The best!
Terribly run ”
This hotel is terribly run. When we got to our room we noticed big open gaps, and the door didn't fit properly. There were tons of bugs, we showed the owner of the hotel and her response was "this has never been an issue in 5 years". We asked to be moved and she did, but with attitude. The next room had a sliding glass door which was much better. Another night we get back from dinner and the hotel is basically closed. No lights on, and a sign at front desk saying if you have an issue to call. That is completely unacceptable. There needs to be someone there at all time even if it's a security guard. We felt unsafe as anybody could have walked up from the beach and robbed or hurt the hotel guests. The pool had a glass panel that was shattered, and it needs to be fixed badly. That will break any day and could injure guests. The hotel food was astronomical, it's a 3 star hotel with 5 star prices at the restaurant. I would not recommend this place.
