Perfect location, great staff”
The Eden Amsterdam is right around the corner from Rembrandtplein and a comfortable walk to most tourist locations in Amsterdam. Room was well designed, if small (pretty normal for Amsterdam). Staff was extremely kind and helpful, especially as we had a medical challenge while visiting and it was the height of the tourist season. Strongly recommend this place.
Location, Location, Location....”
i only have one major complaint about this hotel. the internet was down in our room (and all the rooms in the hotel). we could access the internet on the complimentary computers in the lounge or we could use the wifi in the lobby of an adjacent hotel. otherwise i was very please with my stay at the eden hotel. the room was larger than i expected being in a european country. it was clean and the beds were soft and comfortable. we were a 30-sec walk from rembrandtplein, which is full of bars, pubs, restaurants, shopping, coffeeshops, public transportation... if i ever go back to amsterdam i will definitely check to see if the eden hotel has a place for me :)
Nice hotel with comfortable beds”
Read some negative feedback about the hotel and didn't have much expectations about it initially. But the hotel surprised me! The room that we were staying is modernly furnished and clean. And the key highlight of the room is the bed! It is super comfortable and excellent for a good night's rest after a whole day of walking around and clubbing in Amsterdam! Plus, there is a bathtub to soak in during the cold winter time that i was there. The hotel is conveniently located around the Rembrandt Square with a lot of bars and restaurants to choose from. The only inconvenience is that the free wifi is only available at the hotel lobby. Overall stay was great. Highly recommend this to anyone going to Amsterdam.
First time stopping in this hotel for the money this was great deal, hotel was modern inside, staff very pleasant very clean. And we are off back to Amsterdam for the festival again this year and stopping in Eden Hampshire again ! .
Clean, Central, Great Value”
Anyone who travels to Amsterdam knows how expensive hotels are-- and that the cost does not necessarily reflect better quality. Eden was clean and spacious. Extremely comfortable bed. THe breakfast buffet had wide variety of good quality food. The location was central but quiet, and right on a canal.
Awesome apartment with an incredible river view”
Had a fabulous stay at the Eden apartments and would want to stay there every time we go to Amsterdam next. The apartments have excellent river view of the Amstel and the bathroom and bedroom are very good. The terrace is the added bonus. We also cooked food in the kitchenette and treated it like our home for 5 days. Also the apartments are a minute away from the hustle bustle of Rembrandtplein and every other thing you need to see in the city is at a kilometers walk away.
Good location and excellent breakfast”
We stayed 4 nights over weekend and booked standard double room. First room we got was much smaller than advertised at Agoda (25 sq. m) and had windows facing small inner building yard/well so windows of opposite rooms was like at 2 m distance. After request to change a room on next day we got another standard double room, however it was of the same size with window facing another inner building yard/well with distance to opposite room windows like 4 m. It looks like all standard double rooms in this hotel are facing narrow building inner yards/wells and are much smaller than Agoda advertises. What is very good for this hotel is location - at city center with a lot of restaurants in surrounding area. Breakfast was excellent and definitely worth 15 Euro price - fresh fruits, various berries and good choice of meals at buffet. Overall we were satisfied with this hotel service/location/price for Amsterdam (small room at high price).
Great location and variety choice of breakfast.”
I stayed for 3 nights in this hotel. It's convenience to take train from Amsterdam Central to Waterlooplein Station thereafter walk for 4 mins to reach hotel. Otherwise may walk for 20mins with luggage to the hotel. Else, I like the variety choice of breakfast although it was same for all 3 nights I stayed. Also, with complimentary sweet & apple at the counter. Strong & fast WiFi.
An amzing hotel, located in the center!”
Eden hotel in an amazing hotel, located in the center, the rooms are clean and nice, and the staff is very nice and polite. We had an amazing trip included staying in this hotel which we liked very much. We will recommend friends and family staying in Eden hotel.
Great hotel with the best concierge”
the hotel has a good location in amsterdam that is quiet at night but still not too far away from the main attractions. it is clean and has a lift. the best part of the hotel is the friendly concierge who gave us great advice on places to see and eat around amsterdam. he even helped us arrange tours and taxis that were reasonably priced. had a great stay here and i won't hesitate to stay again and recommend to friends.
Really lovely hotel, fantastic hotel & great value”
eden is in a really location really central to so many sites - and they are within walking distance. it is on the canal, is quiet, clean an comfortable. great price and great location. the bed was comfy, clean good bathroom, and the room was cleaned each day. the hotel staff were 'ok', the concierge was great. he knows the town and the best value and good things to do. the 'hop on hop off canal boats' are very close to the hotel. many good resturants are nearby. we would definately go back to the eden.
The hotel adjoing to eden which was a four star property was given to us, It was a free upgrade, nice room, very spacious, good for family. City taxes extra if you book through agoda, if u book directly no city taxes, better to check the deal which is lucrative at the time of booking
Dear Prashant, thank you for writing us your experiences. It is a pleasure for us to hear that you enjoyed your stay and the free upgrade. We hope to welcome you again. Kind regards, Carine
Hotel is in a fantastic location in Amsterdam. Central to everything, yet not so central that it's noisy and rowdy and full of people. Easily reachable via taxi and train. Will definitely stay here again if I'm ever back in the XXX!
I stayed in Eden hotel for 4 nights. the Location is fantastice, the staff is very nice, helping amd professional. the room was very small but it was a single bed room so i'm not judging... They have a really fine breakfest (costs 15 euro if you pay in advence). The only thing I wasn't satesifed from was room cleaning - they always forgot something... if it's towels... of toalet paper... other than that - a great choice!
Delighted with my choice”
Delighted with the Hotel, disapointed no coffee making facilities in room, as it is very expensive in Amsterdam. Concierge fantastic and very helpful.
Lovely stay, great location, hotel upgraded our room on arrival as we were there for a celebration, breakfast was good and set us up for the day, would stay at the Eden again
Lovely Hotel and great location”
Our second stay at the Eden Hotel. Staff ere excellent, very helpful and friendly. A fridge in the room would have been very useful. Also a jug to make our own tea/coffee after a hard days sightseeing.
Value for money for solo traveler, good location.”
Stayed here first time nearly 20years ago. Hotel has been refurbished since. As a solo traveller on this trip I needed a single room at a good price. I have stayed in some dumps in AMS for nearly twice the price. I was warned on Agoda that the room was designed for single occupancy and thats what I got! Reminded me of budget hotels in Hong Kong. Room was small but double bed comfortable with air con. Bathroom was tiny but clean and was quite modern compared to budget hotels. Staff polite and efficient but I guess they had to be since only one receptionist during a busy check out period. Concierge friendly and helpful. For the price I paid you could not of asked for more.
Very rude and unfriendly reception staff”
After a long journey to Amsterdam and being ripped off by a taxi driver for the fare, our late reception and check in was very disappointing. The male staff member was very abrupt and clearly had a bad attitude when checking us in, maybe some training in people skills and manners would not go amiss. The reception staff in the morning could not have been friendlier or nicer so it was probably just this one staff member who had problems. Good location for central Amsterdam, we felt the room was very small and considering the price we paid we did not get value for money. Next time we may book an apartment.
good locations, basic hotel”
hotel is facing a quite area, but behind it's a completely different story! a very happening area nearby and good place to walk to soak up the amsterdam atmosphere. room was nice, comfortable and clean. basic amnities
