Great location on the north side of the castle. Lovely rooms with great facilities - washing machine, oven, dishwasher etc. Yummy cocktails & coffees. Only issue was it could be a little loud when people walked down the hallway so ask to be on a higher floor.

Just a pretty face?”
We were given a room with windows facing the courtyard. The bar was just downstairs and we had such a terrible night because it was horrendously noisy (even after midnight) and we couldn’t sleep. The air-conditioner wasn’t working as well so we had no choice but to leave the windows open, which made it worse. On TOP of that, there is a swing door right outside our hotel room which slams shut really loudly whenever someone opens it (which was quite often). Complained to the reception but no action taken. Sure, everything was really pretty and curated, but it really defeats the purpose because this place could not even provide me a peaceful night’s sleep.

Dear Chen, While I wish you had a better experience, it is feedback like this that we learn from and use to improve.I do apologies if our requirements did not fit your expectations. We are located in the city centre of Edinburgh surrounded by bars that are open until 1.00am. All our windows are double glazed, however we are working to find a solution to improve our soundproofing. All of our studio apartments are equipped with underfloor heating system and only the superior apartments have Air-conditioners. Additionally, last year we had an unexpected heatwave all over UK, our reception team would provide fans if our quest requested. If you give us a chance to earn back your trust, I would like to offer a 30% discount from the best available rate, subject on availability. I stayed at this hotel for four nights while on a work trip. The location was great and seemed quieter and less congested than other areas of town. It is a short ~15 minute walk to get to the Royal Mile. My room was on a higher floor, facing away from George Street, so I didn't hear any loud noise at night (I was anticipating it based on some reviews I read beforehand, and the room was supplied with a set of earplugs). The amenities that were included were excellent (kitchen, washing machine, safe, yoga mat), and I loved the decor. My only critique is that the front desk staff mentioned that the rooms are cleaned every three days, but my room was not serviced at all during my stay so I ran out of toiletries on the final night.

This place is perfect! - The staff was so helpful and allowed us to check in earlier than the time and we are extremely grateful after a long flight - welcome pack was really thoughtful and they had provided almost everything - free yoga class for guests too and the class was good

Lovely hotel, great decor and staff were very helpful and friendly. Nice cafe in the foyer. Not too far from the station if you're walking - maybe 10-15mins. Location is good for getting to all the Edinburgh old town attractions.

Very comfortable, and very spacious room, with plenty of amenities, including excellent Wi-Fi, television, and kitchenette. Dozens of great dining options also within walking distance. The only thing keeping us from being a five star location is that there isn’t much of a view, but you don’t have to walk far to get one. I would definitely stay here again if I returned to Edinburgh.

Love The Room”
Love the decor of the hotel room. Hotel is in the midst of shops and eating places. Transport from the airport is nearby but a walk of about 10mins. It was not as easy with heavy luggage.

We extended our stay after realizing that the hotel is also very convenient for us from a business trip perspective. There are multiple places with good electric outlets for all our devices and they are conveniently located within the room. There is also an iron and ironing board handy, as well as a strong hair dryer. It is worth noting that it is an apartment hotel, so you will only get the room cleaned or refreshed every 3 days unlike - and we had to ask for more toiletries (ie shampoo/shower gel). The coffee shop downstairs have a great pastries and coffee but rate will not have breakfast. Neither is an issue for us. Location wise, it's in new town and edge of old town so it was so easy to walk around town. Not that we go to Edinburgh often but I will definitely return to Eden Locke if I come back to Edinburgh again - hopefully during Fringe Festival.

Great boutique apartment hotel! We liked it so much we extended our stay for the “business” part of the trip. Very cool retro decor. Nice size with living and kitchen area. Love having a washer dryer in the room and lots of electric outlets for charging... and having airplay connection to tv so we can Netflix! The coffee shop downstairs had great coffee and pastries.

Seriously, one of the best deals i've ever had with such a good hotel”
I have no complaints and all praise for this super worthy hotel. Everything from the room, the bed, the cleanliness was perfect. The bed was especially comfortable and I could lay in it all day. The positioning of the TV which is not accross the bed makes it feels more like home in a way that we would have a 'separate' bedroom and living room which is brilliant. The kitchen utensils was also quite complete (if not for the missing chopsticks since I'm asian lol). The location is truly perfect as it's exactly on the centre and not far from the station where we just had to walk for around 8 - 12 minutes, and if you're lazy you can take the bus (literally just one stop and still walkable distance). I would definitely recommend this to anyone, and will stay here again if I'm coming back to Edinburgh!

Fantastic Self-Service Alternative in Edinburgh”
Want the location, but need some room to take care of yourself in Edinburgh? This new town long-stay apartment style hotel is perfect for the traveler(s) who aren't looking for the historic hotel, but appreciate location and the ability to prepare food, iron clothes, make coffee, or just take in a drink downstairs if you prefer. A short walk to anything you might want to see in the old town, this hotel is modern and well-apportioned without feeling cheesy or out of place. The staff are very friendly and extremely helpful when looking for points of interest, restaurants or hoe to get out of a parking ticket. ;) We stayed 3 nights and never felt we missed out being in Old town. Actually, we were pleased to be away from the noise and also happy to have a kitchen! Highly recommend!

Comfortable beds, really well equipped kitchen but loads of places to eat on your doorstep. Easy walk to city centre. Easy to miss the place when you first arrive, very small sign outside, we walked straight past it first time. Would definitely use again if coming back to Edinburgh

I loved everything about it. The size, the decor, the staff, the location. It is so central, everything you need is 5-15mins walk away. The tram stops in Princes street West end and Princes street and it’s a 10 minute walk to the apartment. I loved having a fully operational kitchen. It’s definitely perfect for two people. I wish I was staying longer! I will be back

this was one of the best stay we ever had for Europe trips. The apartment is nicely size. With a nice sofa area, a full kitchen with all the utensils, bowls and plates. There was oven and a washing machine. Toilet is good size too. The Tv screen had helpful information and the staffs were very friendly and helpful. Prior to this we stayed in a 4 stars hotel in London and we think this is way better. Location is within walkable distance to sights and shops. only feedback we have is the bed is abit hard. But that’s just our bed preference. Overall we Would definitely recommend this place to any one who will be visiting edinburgh.
