Definitely Great place!”
I stayed at big balcony suite, view is great, very spacious room. Every staffs are great, foods are lovely. For me, front beach snorkeling is better than swimming with whale sharks at oslob. Corals are alive here. Current is very strong here, 10~11 am is best for snorkeling.
Great spot, lovely rooms”
We had a great stay at eden guest house. The infinity pool was lovely and the rooms were spacious and clean. The food in the restaurant was good and the service was excellent. We spent two nights here before spending one night on Sumilon Island, and in terms of value for money, Eden was very good.
Beautiful Seaside - quiet”
We walked to the resort from our ferry which arrived from Dumaguete, but if you arrive from Siquijor at the farther port, I would suggest a trike. The grounds are lush and very well kept with nice pathways and lighting! Our room had a balcony and was right on the ocean serving up beautiful bay side sunsets as well as nice morning scenes of fisherman on their tiny boats. Really nice balcony to relax on and enjoy the view at all times of the day. Nice closets, cold AC, good minibar - really an awesome spot. We didn't have time to do a dive with them, but their boats/diveshop looked pretty cool! The infinity pool is beautifully maintained and is right beside their restaurant. Perfect for some fries/beer/coke in the late afternoon. The free breakfast was a nice start to the day - usually had some cornflakes + coffee & added a fruit plate of mango + banana for ~50 php - well worth it. We rented a scooter from them for quite a reasonable price and it was perfect. Good snorkel out front
Keep Coming Back”
This is my 5th visit over as many years and the place never disappoints. The view across the sea to Negros is as awesome at night as day. They have retained their loyal staff such as Luz and June who wrote the book on customer service. Each visit has shown ongoing investment in improvements in the buildings which is necessary for the long term.
Most Incredible View”
I was shocked to see a little oasis in the middle of southern Cebu. Each room has it's own incredible view with a terrace overlooking the mountains of the neighboring island and the ocean. Being American, there were great choices of food to eat at the restaurant. The infinity pool was salt water and amazing. There is a cool breeze in that location as it overlooks the ocean, so it wasn't too hot. The massages and pedicures are SO reasonably priced. Loved the complimentary American breakfast that they will bring to your room to eat outside on your terrace. It's only about a 20 min. tricycle ride to Oslob whale sharks, The staff will book tricycles ahead for early mornings. My only negative was the water pressure was low in the shower, but the hot water still worked great. There are limited number of rooms, so I loved the small and non-commercial feel.
Just returned from a 2 night stay to view whale sharks. Magnificent, clean rooms with fantastic views over the water. A 5 minute walk from the ferry port,so need for a transfer. Food and drink very cheap at the resort, however most food needs a bit of improvement. Ingredients in dishes are obviously just a suggestion! Drinks are great though. 20 minute trike ride from Whaleshark viewing, about 400 peso return. Lovely massages at the spa for 480 peso also. Make sure you go in good weather as there’s not much to do in the area if it’s raining.
We loved Eden Resort! It is located in a quiet town in South Cebu and the grounds were well-kept and clean. The food was delicious, our room was spectacular, and the staff was friendly. We cannot wait to go back again soon!
Ideal Location for Whaleshark Swim”
This is the 4th occasion I have stayed at Eden and will continue to stop there when visiting southern Cebu. The staff have not changed is many years and are reliable and dependable. (Jenny, Luz, Junis Lavonne etc) Safe location and quiet with magnificent views across to Negros.
We loved everything about Eden Resort”
Our room was fantastic with a lot of space. The balcony and views were exceptional. The infinity pool is great and sitting in the outdoor undercover bar/restaurant looking out at the view of the water and over to Dumagette was breathtaking. The lady who works in the afternoon who has been there for about 10 years deserves a special mention. She was very lovely. We went to see the Whale Sharks one morning and a jeepney driver picked us up and drove the 15mins to Oslob. The ferry terminal to Dumagette is an easy 5 min walk down the road. 20 mins on a ferry and you are at Dumagette. We wished all of our accommodation was as beautiful as Eden resort.
Keep Coming Back”
Yet another enjoyable stay at Eden. One initiative that had been introduced this time around, was a limit switch on the sliding door to the balcony with the switch interconnected to the air conditioning. The A/C was turned off if this large door was left open. The staff are very reliable and many are already serving their 5th year working at the resort, (Junis,Liz, Jenny and others). Anyone wishing to swim with the whale sharks take the advice of the staff and be there early (like 7.00am) to avoid the crowds..and also try to make it a week day, not weekend. Eden offers an excellent shuttle. The only flaw this time around was that the phone number for Eden printed on the Ago booking confirmation, was wrong. It caused distress as I was stranded in Dumaguete believing the ferry was cancelled due to a typhoon. I had to search for an internet cafe in Dumaguete and search for the web page to find another phone number. As it turned out the typhoon cancelled ferries the day before. I have asked the staff to chase up Agoda.
Eden Resort Gateway to Butanding”
I have stayed at Eden now 3 times and would not keep returning if it was not the best accommodation in the area. The staff are geared up for butanding, ie whalesharks and also for local tourism eg: waterfalls The view verlooking the water between negros and Cebu is wonderful of course, but their best feature to me is the total support for the whaleshark swims at Oslob.
Near Liloan Port. Very comfortable and clean. ”
We enjoyed our stay there a lot. The hotel room is very comfortable. We came from Damaguete through ferry and the hotel is very near to Liloan Port. The hotel is not near to the Whale Shark Watching area but you can take tricycle (200peso) to the spot which take around 15mins. The hotel also provide a van for 500peso round trip per room (6.30a and 9.30a) but for us it's better to take tricycle as we can leave at 7a after breakfast and it's cheaper though. There are no food stall or anything around so you can only eat at the hotel. Hotel food is OK but found it a bit pricey. If they can provide more local food choice would be better. Spa at hotel is great, if they advertise a bit more of their activities to the guest for sure they can generate more business. Overall I love the place and would stay there again if going back to Oslob :)
Lovely hotel ”
lovely stay! Very good location , just near Liloan dock , u can goes to Dumaguete , siqijoy and Sumilon by boat in 1 hour . food is great and not expensive . staff are all very friendly and helpful. The swimming poor is great and snorkelling is also very lovely ! Find lots of sea star and fish easily
Great view of the sea”
Room was large and spacious. Bathroom was spacious too. They strictly charge for extra person and max is 3 persons per room. The bus from the city passes by the hotel so it is accessible (4 hours from the city by bus). Food was delicious but a bit pricey. I recommend the pizza, sinigang, calamari and bacon set(breakfast). They also charge 500 per room for transportation service to Oslob (whale shark watching). I just hope this could be free since you are checked in the hotel. You can stay in this hotel if you're planning to go to the whale shark site in the morning. Take the 6:30am trip. The infinity pool was nice and had a great view; there is also a small jacuzzi. But the shore was full of rocks and corals so you can't swim in the beach but the rooms' view is amazing (ocean, mountain, sunset).
Adventure in Paradise”
This resort is located at Lio-an and 15 minutes drive from the whale shark swim village of Oslob. It has 10 rooms and all of these have a balcony which faces the sea and the island of Negros opposite. The eastern outlook allows the sunset to be experienced every evening and sometime the rays will radiate from behind the mountains. The resort has an infinity swimming pool also faces the sea. The staff stand out for their performance. were very welcoming and helpful...the atmosphere is very homely. This is set up as a one stop shop, so there is no need to go elsewhere for meals. The hotel van provides a free shuttle to the ferry wharf and also for 500 peso, the round trip to Oslob for the whalesharks. The driver waits and also provides a hotel towel for each guest at the end of the swim. During the visit there was renovation work seen and this is a good idea to keep on top of maintenance and also taking account the exposure to the sea. The location puts it 10 minutes from the Lilo-an ferry terminal and if you fly in to Dumaguete, the Sibulan terminal on the other side of the strait is then only 15 minutes from the airport. The Ceres bus liner also links Lilo-an ferry to Cebu City
Even though we travelled for 4hours from Cebu city, it was all worth it coming to oslob. We did the whale shark watching and enjoyed it alot. Although this hotel is quite far from where the whaleshark activity is, I didnt regret booking this hotel. It was so nice waking up with the view of the sea right in front of your room, and its just very serene staying on the rooms balcony, it was very peaceful. I love the experience so much and i wouldnt mind going back to this hotel again. Though the food menu can be improved.
It was a pleasant and relaxing stay with friendly staff and good breakfast with a superb seaview. However, resort drivers need to learn to provide more information on the attractions that we are visiting eg. Whale shark watching will be very crowded or to visit shopping malls, we will have to take a ferry instead of just driving us to the harbour and told us to get our tickets. Should be able to do better than that. Nonetheless, its make up by the rest
Awesome ocean view”
Arrived Eden Resort, Cebu via Manila-Dumaguete, Negros airport then van to Liloan Pier where 30 minute ferry boat brought us to the southern tip of Cebu and a 8 minute tricycle (motorcycle w/sidecar) that brought us to paradise known as Eden Resort. Checked in at the restaurant/bar where the endless pool flowed into view of the ocean. The room was awesome with marble floors, outdoor patio with a 180 degree unobstructed view of the ocean and a shower with instant hot water. Scuba with Easy Diving was great with Donde, the native filipino dive master who excelled in muck diving & made sure we had that unforgettable dive experience! especially with the whale sharks at Oslob. The dive equipment was well maintained & up to date with nitrox available. It was a bit of a climb down to the beach as the resort is built on a cliff but with valet diving the only effort was to get on the boat, don your gear and dive! Beauty parlor and massages available. Would definitely return to this tropical paradise with a potential mate.
Nice hotel for relaxing stay”
Very comfortable hotel with great view from balcony. Only complaint was no hot water for shower and limited choices for the free breakfast. Lots to do in surrounding area. Be sure to swim with whale sharks in Oslob. Staff very attentive and hotel and grounds very clean.
We stayed one night in this great hotel. In morning the hotel organised transport to go to the whale watching/swimming which is a great experience. A very comfortable hotel with a great balcony with seaview
